Xia Weiyang fiercely bit Shi Jue's lips as he kissed her.

Shi Jue immediately pulled away from Xia Weiyang.

While stroking his lips, Shi Jue frowned and looked at Xia Weiyang. He was surprised by what she did. Where did she learn to do that? Was she copying him?

Xia Weiyang wiped her mouth in disgust and completely ignored Shi Jue's darkened face. She then turned around and walked away without saying anything.

Shi Jue felt confused as he watched Xia Weiyang walk away.

He called her into his office to talk about the children. However, things did not go as planned.

Shi Jue angrily punched the window beside him.

He then looked out the window and watched the people walking in the street. No one knew what he was thinking about.

Suddenly, someone knocked on the door.

"Come in," Shi Jue said lightly.

The door opened, and a man wearing a business suit walked in. He then approached Shi Jue. "Sir, miss Xia Weiyang just handed in her resignation letter."

"What did you say?" Shi Jue's eyes widened. He was surprised by what the man said.

"Miss Xia Weiyang resigned. She is now packing her things and preparing to leave," the man said.

Feeling annoyed at the situation, Shi Jue turned around and grabbed his hair. The more he thought about it, the angrier he became. "Tell her that if she wants to resign now, she will not receive her salary for this month. She will also be fined for not following the terms of her contract."

The man was surprised by what Shi Jue said. "Sir, the fine for violating the contract is a hefty amount." The man was worried that Xia Weiyang might not be able to pay the company.

Although the man did not share his concern regarding Xia Weiyang, the tone of his voice implied that he was worried about her.

Shi Jue, however, was determined to penalize Xia Weiyang.

"Violating the terms of a contract is a serious offense," Shi Jue said to the man. "Make sure that she pays for the full amount of the fine. She's not allowed to use a credit card. If she doesn't have the money, then she should think of another way of how she would be able to settle it."

"Yes." The man then turned around and left Shi Jue's office.

Shi Jue was left standing inside the room. Although he was facing the window, he occasionally glanced at the door of his office.

He was expecting Xia Weiyang to return to his office to complain about the penalty.

"Why isn't she here yet?"

Shi Jue cursed softly.

It was his moment to teach Xia Weiyang a lesson.

Just when Shi Jue could not wait any longer, the door of his office suddenly opened.

When Shi Jue heard the sound of the door opening, a smile instantly appeared on his face. However, his smile instantly disappeared when he turned around.

Instead of Xia Weiyang, a man entered Shi Jue's office.

"Why are you here? Where is she?" Shi Jue's tone was not friendly.

The corner of the man's mouth twitched after hearing Shi Jue's words. He did not know that Shi Jue was expecting to see Xia Weiyang instead of him.

"Sir, miss Xia Weiyang has paid the penalty for violating her contract. She paid in full before leaving," the man said.

Shi Jue grabbed the vase beside him and threw it away.
