12 Trapped?

Immediately, Jin Yang turned to look in the direction that Amelia was looking at. He couldn't sense any presence; nor could he see anyone, but if Amelia said that there were people there, then he believed her. This would be his first time dealing with a witch who wanted to kill Amelia. Before this, he had seen a few witches in his life but he had never dealt with them personally.

In the modern world, if vampires were considered to some myth and fairy-tales then witches were also one among them. Witches were rare to find. If vampires were called to be monsters sucking blood then witches were called to humans with supernatural powers. But what differed them from the vampires? It was their heart. Vampires belonged to the dark, their hearts were cold and dark just like their devilish natures. However, witches were different. They had the opportunity to choose. They could freely choose whom to follow; whether darkness or light.

Vampires didn't have that privilege. They were who they were - a creature belonging to the dark; yet yearning for the light.

Jin Yang stood alert beside Amelia, ready in a stance to attack. This was serious. His duty was to protect her not only because she was his best friend, his creator but also because she was his queen. They waited in the silent graveyard for their enemy to show up or make any move but all they got in return was complete silence. In that dark graveyard, only the sound of rustling leaves and the voice of insects could be heard. "I thought you guys would be tough but looks like you both are too scared to face me," Amelia yawned as she looked at that tree. "Maybe you both are too ugly to face me," she mocked.

Still, nothing could be heard in return.

Amelia pursed her lips slightly as she was getting extremely bored. With another yawn, she said, "Are you coming out or not? You did so many things, killed so many people including my vampires just so that you could get me here. Now, that I am here, why are you still hiding your face?" she questioned.

Again, all Amelia was met was with silence. She frowned and narrowed her eyes at the tree, "Standing there like two idiots, are you both waiting for Christmas to come?" she taunted them.

She waited for a while but when she got no answer, she chuckled. "Let's go, Jin Yang," she said, "I don't have time to waste on some unimportant stupid cowards," she sneered.

"Okay," Jin Yang agreed as they turned to leave

"STOP!" A male voice said. "You can't leave," he chuckled maliciously.

"Finally, the rats come out…" she muttered and turned around. Her eyes focused on that tree when she saw a sudden red light swirling around in the air like a mist and in that mist, she finally saw two people appearing. Both of them were wearing a very large black clock to hide their appearance from her. Apart from their silhouette, she couldn't see anything else about them.

"Black clock, seriously you guys?" she arched her brows at them. "That's so typical." she snorted.

"At least, you could have dressed properly when you were coming to meet a beauty like me," she smiled. Waving her hands, she said, "Anyways, now that you both are here, let's get straight to the point."

"Why bring me here?" she asked curiously.

"To kill you and take your powers." One of them who was a vampire said.

Amelia looked at him and smiled. "You must be the vampire who is dreaming of becoming the next vampire queen… oops! I mean the next vampire king, aren't you?' she asked.

The vampire nodded. "And tonight, after killing you, I will be the greatest vampire king," he smirked.

"Oh really? Do you think it's that easy?" Amelia sneered. "But, before that, tell me one thing. Are you the real deal or are you another puppet just like Yu Chen was?" she asked with a smirk.

"You shouldn't be paying attention to that," The vampire laughed. "If you have not noticed Amelia, then I would love to tell you that you are trapped," he informed.

Trapped?

Amelia looked all around them, but she didn't see anything. Did that witch cast any spell around her? She wasn't sure but at the same time, she also wasn't worried. Playing with a black ring on her little finger, she looked all around her lazily.

"You cannot see it," the vampire smirked and informed her graciously. "But there is an invisible cage around you. And you cannot step out of it, Amelia." he laughed.

Jin Yang looked all around with a stern look. He couldn't see any cage or whatsoever. He turned to look at Amelia and he saw her nod. Understanding her instructions, he quickly flashed from one direction to another, and indeed, just like that vampire had said, they were trapped. There was an invisible cage around them, and they couldn't step out of it. Jin Yang tried to move past it, but he couldn't cross that invisible thing.

"Lia…" he called out her name with a slightly panicked look. Now, what were they going to do? They were trapped inside this invisible box. This time, their enemy was stronger than they could have known and he also had a witch helping him. If it was a physical fight, then vampires are stronger as compared to a witch. However, if powers and magic are included then, vampires don't stand a chance at all.

"Don't worry," Amelia said giving him a reassuring smile. "Remember one thing, there is nothing that I cannot handle," she said.

Jin Yang nodded. He couldn't see any way out of this, but he knew Amelia. If she said that she could handle this, then he trusted her completely.

"Give up, Amelia. Surrender to me and become my woman. Maybe I'll give you a chance to live if you serve me properly," The vampire laughed. "There is no point in being stubborn. This is your defeat. Accept it!"
