2 The great vampire queen!

YEAR 2021.

Capital city, Beijing.

At the night, the city streets become arteries of lights around the heart of the metropolis. The city has a heart, a rhythm, and a beat. It lives in our music; it plays in our sports arenas. From the trees in the avenue to the penthouse suite, the city is always alive.

In this human civilization, there lives another species that rules by the dark. They live among humans; they live like a human, they act like human, but they aren't humans. They are hidden from the sunlight, yet they shine in the night. They are stronger, faster, and blood-thirsty being. And, they are VAMPIRES!

For modern-day society, vampires were considered to be myths or some spooky character of dark and grim fairy tales. Yet, humans weren't aware of the fact that they were indeed real. Very, very real. And they lived among them like any normal ordinary human being. But only when the night arrives is when their real nature comes alive.

Vampires were the hunters of the night. They loved to watch over their prey, entrap them and suck their blood. Even though vampires were known to be blood-thirsty, unruly and have wild nature, these vampires were more composed, more civilized than human society. They would have to follow some basic rules and regulations if they wanted to be live among the humans. They were divided into different classes based on their power. The higher the power, the more respected is that vampire. Some were cruel, some had empathy, but among them lived one; who ruled over them all.

She was the oldest vampire in the history of the world. The striking fact about her was that she wasn't formed; she was born as a vampire. All the other vampires were formed after her and through her and that's how she became their queen. Everybody feared her; everyone respected her. Not only because she was the oldest vampire but also because she was the strongest amongst them all. She was born with some special powers that only a few rare vampires could obtain.

One of her strongest powers was that she could control anybody; a vampire, a human, it didn't matter. You just need to look into her eyes for a second, and you would be under her control forever. This power of hers made every single vampire tremble with fear, and they dared not to go against her. If she wanted to kill you, then it was just a matter of few words. And that's why each and every vampire respected her and obeyed her commands. They treated her like a queen even though she didn't want to be treated like one.

And this great vampire queen was known as - AMELIA JIANG!

One could say that she was one of the most beautiful women ever. Her beauty was something to behold, something to cherish, something to worship. She had a wonderful sculpted thin and tall figure with her waist tapered. Her pale skin highlighted her pair of enticing forest-green eyes, her short moon-shadow black hair framed her beautiful small face. Her smile was like of an angel, that could lit up an entire room yet her soul was darker than the devil.

Even though she was one of the strongest vampires, she was also one of the laziest. If she could, she would not get up from her bed for even a second. For the vampires, she was their queen but for the humans, she was their inspiration. In modern society, she was a great businesswoman, the owner of one of the largest corporations - Jiang Enterprises.

Jiang Enterprises was one of the largest and the strongest companies in the business world. They had their involvement in every area of the field; be it sports, the entertainment industry, and many other industries. Jiang Enterprises was a vast empire and everyone wanted to be a part of it. Being its sole heir, Amelia Jiang become an idol for many people. Many men sought after her to pursue her while many women were inspired by her.

Yet, the inspiration and attraction of so many people, that is Amelia Jiang only wanted to do one thing - drink, sleep and repeat.

One fine Monday morning, Amelia Jiang was forced to attend an important board meeting. Her company was going to launch a new product and hence, she was needed to present at the meeting for the product final discussion and approval. Even though she hated being present for such boring meetings, she knew she had to be there. After all, it was her own stupid decision to build a company and become its head.

She recalled that building and forming Jiang Enterprises was a decision made out of her curiosity to live like a rich CEO, she had seen in a drama show on TV. She wanted to know how it felt like to be a rich dominating CEO who could do anything that he/she wanted. Hence, the great Jiang enterprise was formed and in two years, it became the number one company in the entire country. But, nobody told her that becoming a CEO meant working day and night, being called for boring meetings, and signing stupid documents. That TV show definitely didn't show anything of this sort. How can a lazy queen like her be willing to leave her bed for some stupid company?

After a year or so, she was quite bored and wanted to give up. She wanted to destroy the Jiang Enterprises so that she could go back to her sleep but the council of her vampire elders didn't let her. After enduring another boring discussion, they convinced her that they needed a company like this to expand their power among the humans as well. And that's how the Jiang Enterprises stayed and continued to grow to become the beast that it is today.

Now, sitting at the head position, in a baby pink-colored pantsuit, with her head leaning on her hand, she glanced at the man who was talking and talking and continuously talking about the product. Sometimes, she often wondered, if she could make this board room into her bedroom. If only she could install a bed in this boardroom and listen to this boring discussion while sleeping on her bed then wouldn't it be amazing?

Thinking about her bed, Amelia Jiang yawned without caring about her image in front of all these business executives. She was starting to feel very sleepy, and her eyes started to close down on itself. Although vampires didn't need to sleep like ordinary human beings, she was an exception. She needed sleep like a human needed air.
