11 That ought to hurt somebody

"Do you really have no master?" Amelia asked with a funny smile. "You know I can use my powers to get that answer from you," she kindly reminded.

"I-I…. I, No! I don't have any master," Yu Chen spoke through gritted teeth while he tried his level best to move, but his body did not listen to him. Why? Why were her powers working on him? It was not supposed to be this way.

Amelia walked closer to him. She touched his chin with her beautiful and long slender finger, and her eyes glowed red under the moonlight with a devilish light. Trailing her finger down towards his neck, she gazed into his eyes and smirked. "Do you think this simple locket can stop me?" she asked as her finger hooked onto the chain and she pulled it away from his neck.

Yu Chen was horrified. His eyes went wide with fear and confusion on seeing that locket in her hand. How? How was this possible? How can she know about this chain? How can she touch that thing? Even, he was burned when he touched that thing. Then why could she touch it with such ease? Didn't that man say that nobody on this entire earth could touch it?

His confidence came from that locket that was given to him by that man. This was the reason why he dared to stand against the great vampire queen. That locket wasn't anything ordinary. It was a special type of locket made with a special type of spell. It had magic and power in it which could protect him from Amelia's power. That man had put this locket on his neck with his own hands. And he knew that locket was working because it was glowing. Until and unless the locket glowed, it meant it worked.

But now, seeing that glowing locket twirling like an ordinary thread, dread and fear started to fill his cold heart. Was this his end? Was he going to die today?

"What is that?" Jin Yang asked curiously as he stood next to Amelia. He raised his hand to touch the glowing locket in her hand, but Amelia moved it away.

"Don't touch it," she reminded him, "It's harmful to vampires, isn't it, my dear Yu Chen?" she asked.

Jin Yang was stunned. "Then why did it not harm him?" he asked with a puzzled look.

"Because the witch who made it for him put a spell on it," Amelia answered, and in a matter of seconds, she crushed the entire locket in her fist and when she opened her palm, all that remained in it were a few broken pieces of that very locket. "Am I right, my dear Yu Chen?"

Yu Chen was too dumbfounded to speak. How could she know about it? This vampire queen was far stronger and smarted that he thought off. "H-how do you know?" he asked her.

Amelia chuckled. "That's not important," she said and pinched the chain. Immediately in her strong hands, it broke down into several small pieces. She smiled, "Oops! That ought to hurt somebody," she chuckled throwing those pieces on the ground like it was nothing.

Without even her saying, Yu Chen knew who she was pointing at. The locket was made by that witch using his power but now, Amelia had crushed that locket which meant that she had broken that witch's power. Wherever that witch was, he was hurt for sure. This great vampire queen Amelia was too strong for them. She was different from all the vampires. The usual thing which affected the vampires didn't work on her at all.

Why was she so different from them?

"This idiot has a witch master?" Jin Yang asked. "Hey, you idiot, c'mon tell us, who is this witch and we might give you a simple death," he sneered.

"No!" Yu Chen disagreed.

"Who's your master?" Amelia asked with a bored look as she looked into his dread-filled eyes.

Yu Chen shook his head.

Amelia yawned. She has enough of this stupid guy wasting her time. Instead of dealing with him, she would be more interested in dealing with that witch hiding behind him. As for this guy, he was just so-so, completely unworthy of her attention. Rolling her eyes, she decided to use her power, get the information that she needed and finish this guy soon so that she can go back to her mansion to sleep in her comfy bed.

"WHO IS YOUR MASTER?" she asked using her controlling power.

Yu Chen looked at her blankly. For some reason, his pupil started to turn white and soon they disappeared. He moved his lips but no sound came out. A sudden smile started to appear on his face and he laughed. Black blood started to pour out from his mouth and he wiped them away. "My job was not to kill you, hehe…." Yu Chen chuckled, "My job was to bring you here, Vampire Queen Amelia."

Amelia narrowed her eyes as she looked at Yu Chen's white face and that blood that flowing from his mouth.

"What is going on with him?" Jin Yang questioned, and he walked closer towards Yu Chen when suddenly Amelia yelled, "MOVE BACK!!!"

Immediately, Jin Yang and Amelia flashed away from Yu Chen and in the very next second, they saw fire surrounding Yu Chen's body and burning him alive. Jin Yang was shocked to see this scene in front of his eyes. It wasn't the first time that was seeing a vampire being burned alive but he was scared because he was this close to being burned along with him. If it wasn't for that command from Amelia, he would have been burned by that fire too.

All of this happened so quickly, that in the next minute, the fire disappeared taking Yu Chen along with it. There was nothing on the place where Yu Chen was just burning; nothing. It was like nothing happened in the place. Jin Yang was stunned. "That was a magical fire, wasn't it?" he asked.

Amelia nodded as she scanned through their surrounding. She tried to sense someone's presence, but she couldn't figure out anything. It was as if no one was here apart from them, but she knew better. Yu Chen informed her before disappearing. She remembered what he said to her when he disappeared. He said his job was to bring her here. For what? What and who was waiting for them here.

"Lia, this time we are dealing with a witch…" Jin Yang said with a worried look.

"Don't worry. It's nothing that I can't handle," she said giving him a reassuring smile. "Am I right, Mr. Witch and his unknown friend? Mind showing yourself to us?" she asked looking at a tree located on their left, very far away from them. She couldn't see anyone, but she knew that two people were standing on the tree hiding their presence from her.
