18 Partners in crime

"The demon race is asleep but soon, they will wake up." Lin Jinchuan answered.

"Oh!" Yu Chen nodded then but another doubt filled his mind. "Why are they sleeping?"

Lin Jinchuan looked at him faintly. "Have you not heard that curiosity killed the cat?"

"Hehe, but I am a bat...." Yu Chen retorted.

"Cat or bat, the ending will be the same. So stop, putting your nose into something you shouldn't," Lin Jinchuan warned.

"Hey, I am simply curious." Yu Chen smirked. "We are partners in crime so I think, we shouldn't keep so many secrets between us." he winked shamelessly.

"You make it sound as if we not partners but lovers in crime," Lin Jinchuan mocked.

Yu Chen shrugged. "If you say yes, then I don't mind."

Lin Jinchuan laughed. "Seems like you want another taste of that shock..."

Yu Chen took a step back and waved his hand. "No, thanks. I am good. But tell me something, how did Amelia break your spell? How did she knew that they were puppets? And, did she come out of that invisible cage?"

Lin Jinchuan smiled when he heard this questions. His Yuyu was always amazing. No matter if it was the past or the present, people couldn't help but be dazzled by her beauty, by her powers and by her presence. She has always been like this. And, this is one of the most attractive traits of her which attracted people to her, be it him or that devil. When they saw, they couldn't help but want her, love her and be with her all the time.

Lin Jinchuan sighed, looking at the moon above. He wondered what his Yuyu might be going through in that other world he had prepared for her. Through his magical powers, he had sent her to a fake world created out from his imagination where his Yuyu would be a normal person. She would have a good identity over there and she would be born into a powerful royal family, with loving parents.

He would be there too. However, there was a condition. To send Yuyu to that world, he needed to trade something. The spell that he had used to send her required his memory as a trade. When he would reach that other world, he would forget all about her. This was the biggest loop in his plan but Lin Jinchuan had confidence in his feelings and in his love for Yuyu. No matter whether he had his memory or not, he was sure that he would find her and make her fall in love with him.

This time, he was sure to win her before that devil arrived.

When Yu Chen saw Lin Jinchuan being in a daze again, he rolled his eyes. Pushing his shoulders, he coughed. "Come out of your dreamland and tell me. How did she do that? Are those her powers as a vampire queen?" he asked.

Lin Jinchuan shook his head. His face was filled with pride and love as he thought about Amelia. "That has nothing to do with her being a vampire queen." he explained with a small chuckled, "As for why she could break my spell is because she is NOT A VAMPIRE AT ALL!"

"What?" Yu Chen asked in disbelief. Just when was about to ask for more explanation, he noticed that the witch had already disappeared after dropping such a big bomb on his head. A chill ran through his entire body. Even though, vampires are cold being and they don't feel cool, he shivered as he stood alone in the graveyard. Several questions ran through his mind making him confused, scared and excited.

How can Amelia not be a vampire?

Yu Chen was puzzled about this matter. He seen from his own eyes that she was vampire and how cruel she can get. That seventh that she killed proved that she was a vampire. Even though, he had never seen her drinking someone's blood directly from the source but he knew she drank blood to survive. Her powers, her eyes, her looks, her nature.... everything about her seemed to be a vampire.

Then what did Lin Jinchuan mean?

If she is not a vampire, then who is she?

What is her real identity?

The more these questions troubled him, the more his mind was getting clear. He couldn't fully trust on Lin Jinchuan. If he couldn't make Amelia fall in love with him before, then how could he do it now? He wasn't sure whether Lin Jinchuan would succeed or not. It will be good if he succeeded and if he did not, then he needed to think of a backup plan. Suddenly, Yu Chen looked at his surrounding and laughed wildly. He didn't care what identity Amelia had. All he cared about what that throne and her powers.

Till then, he will work hard to get stronger and stronger!

After determining his next step, Yu Chen smiled and the next second, he was gone.

The sounds of the chirping of the birds and the noises of the cricket woke her up. After the dizziness got clear, Amelia slowly opened her to see a clear sky ahead. She felt that she was being pulled out of the darkness that surrounded her and an intense amount of pain slowly started to radiate throughout her entire body but the source of it came from her head. Weird? Vampires don't feel pain. She wondered and sat up. The moment she opened her eyes, the scenery before her, surprised her greatly.

Where was she?

There was greenery all around her with the vast blue sky above her. She got up from the ground, feeling a little weak and dizzy but she didn't pay attention to that. The scenery around her mesmerized her. Looking at the large beautiful trees around her, Amelia realized that she was in a forest. It was a big, beautiful forest and the expanse of trees ahead of her looked never-ending. Or probably she thought so. The canopies provided a slight glimpse into the overcast weather which turned the shades of greenery even darker. Unnecessary crisscrossed pathways with crickets chirped in broad daylight. It was a sight to behold. Also, her sharp keen gaze captured the occasional sightings of insects.
