63 Love her more than me?

Everyone turned to look at the letter in Jiang Youbin's hand as if it was not a letter but a royal decree. Jiang Youbin glanced at his innocent daughter Jiang Yuyu and then at Jiang Muxun's calm face. He opened the letter and under their watchful gaze, he began to read. However, the moment his eyes fell on the words written inside the letter, a wave of great anger came over him. His face looked calm but his eyes went terrifying cold.

Standing next to him, Amelia smiled secretly. By his posture, nobody could tell anything but she could feel that wave of anger radiating off him. Her so-called father was angry. After all, her plan worked well. Jiang Youbin recognized his daughter's handwriting and now, he had no other option than to believe her. However, Amelia was quite curious about one thing. Who sides would Jiang Youbin take? A daughter he pretended to love or the daughter that he actually loved? Would Jiang Muxun be punished or would he dispel the entire situation carelessly?

Jiang Muxun looked at her father. When she noticed that he was standing silently, with no reaction on his face, she smiled triumphantly. She knew in her heart that this stupid Jiang Yuyu could never have any proof against her. Her eyes met with Shen Xiaozhang's and when she saw him nod, Jiang Muxun realized that now it was her moment to shame Jiang Yuyu. Putting on a pitiful appearance, she walked closer to Jiang Youbin and cried, "Father, second sister is lying, isn't she?"

"Father, what is in that letter? Is nothing but lies, right?" she asked. Then looking at Jiang Yuyu, she cried, "Second sister, why are you doing this to me? I never lied to you, I never hurt you nor I did ever wrong you. Why are you framing me, elder sister? What have I ever done to you?"

"Father, I -"

However, before Jiang Muxun could complete her words, General Jiang glared at her, raising his hand, he slapped her. The sound of that slap echoed through the hall, scaring everyone. Everyone present in the hall took a deep breath. Even the servants didn't dare to move or breathe. Their eyes were full of horror and shock as they looked at General Jiang and then at Jiang Muxun.

SLAP!!!!

"General!!!!"

"General Jiang!!!!"

"General!!!!" Concubine Qin yelled, her face full of worry. She rushed towards General Jiang and helped him to calm down. "General Jiang, please calm down. Muxun is your daughter, the eldest miss of the Jiang Mansion. Please calm down your anger. It's not good for your body."

Jiang Muxun stood at her spot in shock. Her hand held her aching cheeks, eyes filled with real tears and confusion. She was stunned for a moment, not knowing how to react. Her mind was in a mess. For a minute, everything around her had stopped moving and she felt as she was pushed into an abyss not knowing how to find her way out. Tears began to fall from her eyes as she looked at her father. Why? Why did her father slap her? What did she do?

Shen Xiaozhang clenched his fist. When he that bright red finger marks on Jiang Muxun's face, her heart ached in pain. He couldn't help but feel bad for her. She was such a delicate, soft, little girl. Why does General Jiang have to be so harsh on her? Immediately, he rushed towards Jiang Muxun and asked, "Muxun, does it hurt? Are you alright?"

Jiang Muxun was in a trance. Even when Shen Xiazhang was standing next to her, she didn't notice him. Her eyes were fixed on her father's angry face and she murmured in a small voice. "Father, you slapped me?"

General Jiang seethed with rage. "If I don't slap you then should I praise you?"

Hearing her father's word, anger began to fill Jiang Muxun's mind. On top of it, she noticed Jiang Yuyu smiling at her as if she was mocking her. All of those dark emotions, those sad memories that she tried hard to suppress, broke out with anger. "WHY?" she yelled. "Is it for her? Why do you always care for her and not me? Why do you always love her more than me? Why? Is it because of her mother, that bitch, Lu Suyin????"

"JIANG MUXUN!!!!!" General Jiang growled. Mad with fury, he raised his hand to slap her again. However, this time, his hand were covered with a faint red glow showing that he was going to use his power against Jiang Muxun. Everybody's eyes were filled with horror and fear. They could clearly see, how mad General Jiang was at this time. Taking Lu Suyin's name was prohibited at the Mansion because it was the weak spot of General Jiang's heart. Nobody dared to mention that name since Lu Suyin's death. Yet, today, Jiang Muxun not only broke that rule but she also called names to Lu Suyin.

If General remained calm at this moment, then he wouldn't be General Jiang at all!!!!

Instantly, the atmosphere inside the hall went down several degrees. Cold chills arose on everyone's back as they closed their eyes not wanting to see the gruesome scene anymore. Amelia narrowed her eyes when she saw that Jiang Youbin was going to slap Jiang Muxun. As a vampire, she could feel that power radiating from Jiang Youbin's palm and it was enough to kill Jiang Muxun. Though she had no love for this sister, she didn't want her to die.

"Daddy, calm down," she pleaded, her face turning pale and her body shivering with fear. "Daddy, I am scared!!!" she said in her soft, innocent voice.

"Yes, General, please calm down!!!" Concubine Qin begged.

"Calm down???? How can I calm down? Just look at what this girl had done. She has crossed all limits," General Jiang yelled, his voice was full of anger. His body was shaking with anger as he glared at Jiang Muxun. "Just because she is my Eldest daughter doesn't mean that she can say whatever that comes in her mouth!!!"
