Pacts

In a world hidden underneath our own, Deities are real. Stories and fame bring mythological figures from long-lost pantheons into existence, yet they can only come into our world through binding pacts, made with humans who are willing to sign these deals. The humans who do so are called Hosts. By tethering to humans, the Deities influence their will onto the real world, and the Hosts, in return, gain supernatural abilities. However, not all Hosts are made equal- The more powerful the Deity, the more dangerous it is to contain their power. Bodies break down and wills crumble until those Deities seize control, turning opportunistic humans into dangerous criminals. 18-year old Callum's life changed when he fulfilled the last wish of a dying man, accidentally making a pact with a hidden Deity. Blessed with an unknown supernatural ability and a target above his head, he must do everything it takes to survive- And to find his place in this world hidden beneath our own.
