Chapter Two ( The Awakening 2)

Aunty, what is the highest magic level? eon asked with a confused face. All of the kids were just at 6. So it was hard for them to properly understand so many things. So loren explained a little bit more.

The maximum magic level one person can get is always 20. No matter how hard you try, it is the highest level achievable. But don't worry, as long as you have magic level 9, you can make it further and increase it. But if the magic level is below 9 then its extremely hard to advance and most of the time its nearly impossible. Just don't think so much about levels now, otherwise your little head with get a headache. You should sleep well. Tomorrow will be a long day and remember be polite and respectful to Mrs Ela.

Next day Morning:

All the kids were summoned at the village hall for the awakening. Ela was standing beside the small round table that had a gray round stone attached at the middle of it. The table's height was low as it was made for the kids. From far, the stone didn't look anything special but everybody knew that this stone will decide the fate of those kids today.

Ela was a bit tensed because she had another mission other than facilitating the awakening. The ceremony takes place twice each year in every village and towns. Usually, Magic Hall never sends authority above tier 3 to even the promising town but this time they dispatched 10 level 6 authority like her in this area's 10 specific villages. The reason was also shocking. Six years ago there was an abnormal phenomenon occurred near this area of the Great Shato kingdom. The sky became purple in the middle of the night and the moon became blue. The phenomenon only lasted about 15 minutes but it was enough to catch the eye of the elites of not only The Great Shato Kingdom but also the surrounding kingdoms. It was the sign of a divine body was born.

According to the continents prophecy every 1000 years, 3 divine child will born with a fate to lead the great war of humankind. It is also the sign that a great calamity is about to fall on human race. Humans must seek the divine children and prepare for the calamity. So its natural that other than magic hall the king had also sent his spies secretly to find the divine child and that is also true for the kings of other kingdoms. Every kingdom will try its level best to keep at-least one divine child in their kingdom. The first divine child was born exactly 7 years ago in Sahara empire. Within next 6 months another was born in Royal Cross kingdom and the last one is born in in the Great Shato Kingdom. But it is really hard to find the divine child before age of 12. Because only after reaching 12, the symptoms of divine body will gradually show. So there is actually no way to find the divine child before age of 12.

Now, of all other duties, Magic hall sent her in this village to investigate about the divine child. How is she supposed to do that? Form every angle those kids seemed like normal child. There is no way to guess. Another problematic aspect is, before reaching age of 12 the divine body wouldn't show anything special about its magic tool or magic level. So actually there was no way to judge. Still there is hope as every divine body will have full magic circle from the very beginning. But again, some people also can have full magic circle from the beginning and almost everybody who reach magic level 15 will have full magic circle. Ela herself also have full magic circle. So her duty was to find any good seedling who have at-least magic level 10 or full magic circle. The magic level 10 is always a good seed as they can improve in future and become magician one day. Though full magic circle doesn't mean anything special, still this is a symptom of divine body so she got to take that kid to magic hall for future consideration.

Loren asked a kid to come and put his hand on the stone. The kid was nervous. but put his on the stone. The stone started to glow and the kid become afraid and removed his hand. He was afraid of the worm feeling. Ela smiled and said, don't be afraid, it wouldn't hurt. Just put your hand again and try to feel the stone. The kid put his hand again on the stone after a bit of hesitation. There was pin drop silent in the hall. The stone started to glow again but its color didn't change. A stream of energy flowed from the stone towards the kids body and ela asked him to open his other hand and to concentrate on his palm. Gradually a little shape started to form on his palm. It slowly formed the shape of a stick and within 10 second it vanished. The kid became confused. So Ela said don't worry kid. Its already done. Just go back to your seat and take rest. Then she loudly declared "magic tool wand and magic level 3". Next.....

Loura became curious and asked, aunt loren, shall i give a try? Sure, said loren. Loura almost ran toward the table and looked at Ela. Ela gave a nod of affirmation and said put you hand on the stone and try to feel it. Loura didn't wait a second and before putting her hand on the stone she closed her eyes. The stone started to glow and become yellow. A faint stream of worm energy entered her body and she opened the palm of her other hand. Slowly a strange shape small knife took form. It was glowing with a dark red color.

Ela smiled and said you will do better as a herbalist. Though the magic level is a bit low only 6 but still you have a stable magic tool. You should be happy. Next.....

Gradually 10 more kids went to test and only 2 of them had magic level above 5. Ela told to herself.. so far nothing special. Her tension was gradually increasing. Maybe the divine child is actually in some other village. Who knows...
