CH8 Mission Complete!

Veto face twisted in anger.

"Why would I need your forgiveness?! All I need is my life!" He kicked Conklin's corpse and hacked at it with his blade until it was unrecognizable.

Veto's tears cascaded down his face, covering his eyes in a red sore look.

"It's all your fault! Your the one who made me kill you! It's not mine; yours!" Veto once again kicked Conklin's mangled corpse.

Alodar watched the scene in silence. 'This man has gone mentally insane,' Alodar thought covering his mouth, resisting to puke.

Alodar kept through the trees, scaling on top of them. He landed in a bush not far from Veto's back, but he couldn't bring himself to kill the man who had so much to life for. Alodar has listened to his rant about his dream wife and extreme talent.

[Host has gained the title: Merciful on the Damned]

'But it is that talent I can't let survive. It could potentially get put under the Traytic Balus Curse and come back to haunt me.'

Alodar once again looked firmly at Veto. He lunged straight at him. By the time Veto reacted, a sword pierced his left shoulder, making it dangle from his shoulder.

"AHHH!! Stop!! Stop! It hurts! Stupid bandits, get him!!" Veto frantically pointed at Alodar, then went back to holding his arm up.

He fell to the ground, clutching his shoulder. Screams persisted throughout the camp drowning out all the other noises of the battle.

Veto ran for out the camp but Alodar lunged for him. Sadly he was held up by two bandits. Now Alodar was surrounded, just like Conklin was.

Instead of yelling and waiting for the bandits to attack, Alodar sprinted to the closest bandit, casting a spell on the ground.

"Marsh!"

The ground instantly became mush, slowing any other person trying to harm him.

Since no bandit had any bows in their hands(they were being used by other bandits), Alodar had a clean strike to the bandits head.

The bandit instantly stopped moving; laying limp in the wet marsh.

The other bandits just stared in horror at Alodar's ruthless murder. A cold chill fell down their spines and looks of despair covered their face like a mask.

Alodar paced himself towards the next bandit. She flailed her arms and slashed her sword every which way to avoid dying.

Alodar quickly killed all the bandits surrounding him

The battle still raged on, so Alodar raced to help anyone in trouble, killing around four bandits in the process.

"Run we can' win! Run!! The bos' wan'z us," a bandit shouted at the top of his lungs.

Bandits fled the scene, and within seconds all the bandits were gone. cheers were heard all across the camp, enveloping it in joy and excitement.

Shouts were heard across the land.

"We did it! We survived!"

"I lived!"

"Where's Andric?! Has anyone seen Andric?!"

Alodar let a smile surface on his face while a tanned man with onyx black hair and azure blue eyes appeared behind him.

"Thank you, great savior," his eyes seemed to linger on Alodar's saber in hand. "My name is Zane, I'm now in charge of this squadron after my leader's unfortunate death. I would like to thank you on your assistance in resisting the bandits." He extended his hand for a handshake.

All Alodar replies with is a nod, not bothering to reply or shake his hand. 'It's not safe to expose my voice. He might recognize me, I can't take the risk.' Alodar's thoughts were right as Zane had his speculation on this mysterious savior identity, but after seeing his cold attitude and high skill in magic. 'He must be a nobleman from a lavish family,' thought Zane.

His thoughts weren't far off but he put his own judgement in front of the truth. If Inthumeius, the elf who created the star arts was standing, listening, he would have said, "The foggy judgement of knowledge hides the solid truth that hides within its misty doors."

"Anyway...," Zane sheepishly spoke. "I can give you a place to sleep if that's alright with you?" He looked over at the masked individual who had saved part of his camp.

Once again, Alodar's only reaction was only a short, quick nod.

"Great! Then I'll arrange a tent for you right away!" Zane looked away excitedly. "Collin! Get this esteemed guest a tent for himself!" He waited for a while and quickly altered to a nasty expression. "Don't forget he's the one who saved your skin! Be grateful for once!"

'These are the times we should treasure; the ones with friends and family we're we can just goof about, have fun. It's great.' The serene picture would be forever etched into Alodar's memories, holding a special place all to itself.

After a few minutes, Zane walked up in front of Alodar.

"The rooms ready. Would you like to go now now or stay for dinner?" Alodar did not move signaling his reluctance to leave. "Ok then... stay for as long as you like, the food will be ready shortly.

'No wonder I feel so tired,' mumbled Alodar under his breath, making sure no one heard him.

As the night rolled on and Alodar had his fill he retired to his tent, escorted by Collin.

Alodar rolled into bed and drifted off to sleep.

Abruptly he awoke and felt a presence. Alodar rolled out off bed, gripping his saber. When the figure got to the door it slowly creeped open and Alodar lunged at it.

They tumbled and fell down onto the hard ground. When Alodar pinned his stalker and looked at his face he frowned.

"Aww crud..."

I hope anyone can leave a review or comment on how I can improve. I would really appreciate it.
