Leaf moves as the winds blow. Rays of sunlight pierce the clouds, the morning news from the rain last night are glistening from the light.

Weirdly a man lay unconscious on the ground amidst the trees. The boy's white uniform has been dirtied by blood, ash, and dirt. It seems like the boy has no visible injuries on the body.

That man was Valin.

As drips of dews drop on his face, Valin groaned as he wakes up.

He shielded his eyes using his hand from the bright light as he tried to acclimate his eyes to the previously dark surrounding.

After that, he sits up trying to see the surrounding. Seeing the wide span of trees around him, he muttered: "Where am I?"

'Ugh. What happens' Valin thought while shaking his head trying to clear his dizziness.

He also feels some kind of soreness

After the dizziness and soreness faded, he feels like his mind clearer than ever and His body feels so fresh. He then sees a snapped metal rod on his right hand. The snapped side of the rod is sharp because of it.

Valin then tried to remember what happened. After observing the rod for a while, trying to jog his memories with it. He then remembers everything.

'That f*cking pyromaniac. I thought I was dead. Wasn't I supposed to be in that house? How do I come here? Did that guy move me here? But Why? What is that light? Is this heaven?'

Valin thought was interrupted as he heard a rustling sound in the nearby bush. 'Beasts' he thought

Panicked he hurriedly stand up and gripping the rod hard, pointing the sharp ends toward the rustling sound.

As the rustling sound got harder. A white figure jumps out of the bushes. It was 1 foot tall, has white fur, long ears, red beady eyes, and weirdly a zigzag 8 cm long horn on top of his head

'A horned rabbit' Valin thought as the rabbit jumps toward Valin with its horn pointed to him. The rabbit has a quite powerful jumping force it seems.

The rabbit speed is so fast that Valin can only see a blur heading towards him. Feeling danger, he instinctively thrust the pointed sharp end of the rod towards it with pure reflex.

The rod pierced through the rabbit heart. But The force generated by its strong jump pushed Valin hard that he falls back to the ground.

Blood pours out rapidly from the rabbit, dripping onto Valin's uniform. After a few seconds of squirming, the rabbit died. It then burst into many little blue lights

Valin still shocked senseless by what just happened, gets even confused by the floating game-like blue interface that shows up.

'I have a system?' Valin thought exited. Is there any sane person who doesn't want a system in their life? At least Valin will accept it gladly.

But before he does anything system related, he checks his body condition to make sure he's okay after the fire accident. " Weird, there's really no trace of injury on my body. my body also feels stronger and healthier. Heck, the scars on my hands when I'm a still kid are gone."

Confirming that he's okay, he chanted on his mind the keyword. 'status'

suddenly a large blue interface page pops up.

Feeling excited, Valin tried to see if his system has an A.I or not. Confirming there's none he tried to see if there is a mission page or a store page(which is a staple in almost all system novel). Sadly he couldn't even find a single thing other than his status, well at least for now.

Just as he wants to start studying his status panel closely, suddenly he could hear the sound of howling coming from a distance.

Hearing the sound, Valin panicked, he hurriedly look around. He then sees blood all over his clothes and in the ground with the raw rabbit meat and its horn on top of it. Valin realises he screwed up.

'F*ck I'm stupid. What am I thinking? Of course, you'll attract sharp-nosed monsters with blood on you." Valin thought as he hurriedly opens his uniform and then uses it wipe the blood off his body and from the rod off.

He then proceeds to throw away the clothes, pockets the horn and hurriedly runs to the opposite way from the source of the howling.

As he continues to run, he heard multiple howling from the direction behind him. Valin curses as he heard a pack of presumably wolf's are getting nearer to him. He then started hearing the howling get louder behind him.

Suddenly a 2-foot tall Horned rabbit jumps toward him from the bushes at his left "Sh*t" Valin cursed. It's too fast for Valin to react but thankfully it misses and only managed to just scrap his left arm a little.

In his mind, info about his HP pops up after it was scrapped by the horned rabbit. 'So we can know our current health at all times huh? Maybe it also applies to mana usage? Thankfully it doesn't pop up in my view but in my mind. It's dangerous for things like this pop up in view during moments like this. Very convenient.'

The Horned rabbit that has missed in its attempt to stab Valin has accidentally stabbed its horn deep into a tree.

'At least it now became my diversion for a while' Valin thought as he continues to run.

After a few seconds, he sees a cliff with many hanging vines in front of him. It was quite tall so he doesn't know how high it was. He knew he must climb the cliff to survive this mess.

Suddenly the howling sounds became quiet for a while. Not long after he can hear the bunny screams in agony and then abruptly stops.

'Sh*t they are very near' he thought as he arrived at the bottom of the cliff. Suddenly multiple running footsteps can be heard behind him.

As he looks back he sees the pack of grey wolves with a black wolf howling and leading the charge. The wolfs are around 2 meters long and 1 meter tall. Currently, they are only 30 meters apart.

Valin tried to calm down. He bites the rod with his mouth and then started to climb the side of the cliff while urging himself to go faster.

After he managed to climb around 6 meters the wolves have arrived at the bottom of the cliff. They tried jumping to bite him but thankfully they only managed to get as high as 4 meters while the black wolf almost managed to get him.

During the pack's attempts to grab Valin, he managed to increase their distance for quite a bit.

He then keeps climbing toward the top when suddenly he almost slips as he found out there a hollowed cave behind a cluster of vines.

Peeking briefly inside, he sees that It's a cave around 6 meters deep with some plant grow around the cave.

Feeling that it's safe, he enters the cave as he knows it will be safer to wait inside while waiting for those wolfs to stop howling down there and leave.
