10 Confrontation with the tigress
Valin then proceeds to open the office door.
Looking around for a while, he sees Ms. Fiona in one of the teacher's desks.
It seems like she was busy scoring some student assignments. Finding the teacher, He then proceeds to walk towards her.
As he walks, it seems like Ms.Fiona heard his footsteps that makes her raise her head to see who is the intruder.
Seeing it's Valin, She then stops whatever she was doing before and waits for him to get near her desk.
"So Valin can you answer me why did you sleep when the teachers in class? Many teachers have reported to me your conduct during each of their lessons these few days,"
Ms.Fiona ask.
Valin keeps quiet and doesn't answer the question.
Fiona then started to glare at Valin with squinted eyes. Faint growls were heard coming from her but it's too faint that it seems only Valin can hear them.
Valin even sees a silhouette of a tiger coming from her for a brief second.
His senses are screaming that this being in front of him is dangerous and even though she has done this frequently to him since the past, he never truly adapted to the fierce aura in front of him.
At last Valin decide to spill some beans.
"Well... I've been doing a lot more part-time job, you know the price of all item like for example food is on the rise lately and this also included the price of the house I rent. Not to mention I'm an orphan. Well thankfully I don't need to pay for school because of the scholarship"
Fiona does know his life situation. He was quite clever looking at how he managed to get a scholarship, disregarding his lazy and carefree attitude. But still, something feels off about his testimony.
" Do you speak the truth?" Fiona asked, gazing intently at Valin as if she tried to see the truth.
Valin can only grit his teeth and nod quietly while keeping a poker face.
For a while, Fiona keeps gazing at Valin silently waiting for bits of truth came out while He tries to keep a poker face.
After a while, Fiona closed her eyes as if she was in deep thinking while Valin breath a sigh of relief and cursed in his heart for her persistence.
Fiona then opens her eyes and said " Fine.. how about this. For these few days, you don't need to go to work. I'll try to find some high paying work for you among my friends while you rest during this time."
Valin tried to reply but before he could say anything Fiona cut in. " NO BUTS!!" while slamming her hand lightly on the desk.
Afraid to anger her even more, Valin relented and promised to follow to her wishes. Fiona satisfied with his answer allowed Valin to leave.

It's now at 5 p.m.
Valin home is quite far from the school but to save money he walked every time he goes to or returns from school.
As Valin walks through the streets, he cursed as he feels the faint headache in his head, even his skin is bit pale and all of it is because of the lack of sleep.
"Why does that nightmare keep showing up? Is something gonna happen? I've got a bad feeling about this." Valin mumbles quietly.
Just thinking about the nightmare, anger starts to permeate in his mind. With a clenched fist, he tried to calm his anger down.
'It's all in the past, being angry is not helping.' Valin thought.
After a while, he calmed down a bit and tried to focus on other things. He then turn on his phone, flips it open, and search for Pandu contact number.
He then calls Pandu from his phone. After a while, Pandu received the call.
"Hello? who is this?" asks Pandu.
"Hey, Pandu it's me, Valin."
" Oh hey Valin what do you want?" Pandu asks with a hint of worry.
"Can you lend me some money again tomorrow? I was prohibited from working my part-time job and it's all because of you," ask Valin with a tint of playfulness and anger.
"Of course you can my friend. It's just that you'll forgive me for today right?" ask Pandu with a slight worry in his tone.
"Well thank you then. Oh and as for this morning... well it depends on my mood hehehe," said Valin in a playful tone.
As cars run past him, he talks with Pandu for a while. After some time Valin accidentally sees a suspicious looking man wearing a black skull hoodie and a black backpack in an alley next to a bakery where he and Pandu usually buy bread.
The man was lock picking a door inside the alleyways while having a bottle of an unknown liquid beside him. After succeeding, the guy then enters the door while bringing the liquid bottle.
Looking at him, Valin feels a sense of unknown familiarity. His mind subconsciously urged him to chase the man as if he'll regret it if he doesn't do it.
'is it a thief? Why do I felt familiar at that guy.' Valin thought after pondering a bit, Valin decided to follow after the man.
"Hey Pandu, there's an emergency. I see a thief entering a house in the alleyway beside our usual bakery. Please call the police to come here quick. I'll follow the thief." Said Valin hastily and then closing the call off.
Pandu who is on the other side of the call cursed. "Hey Valin, what are you doing b*stard. Hey, don't be hasty and just wait for the police. Hey, *beep* F*CK he turns the call off."
Valin the proceeds to enter the alleyway. He then sees that the thief enter an old 2 story house.
Valin then takes a heavy old steel pipe on the floor nearby for self-defense. After looking around for a bit to see any possible threat, he then peeks into the house from the window.
He then sees the thief nowhere on the first floor. Confirming no traps laid inside the house by the thieves, he then proceeds to enter the house and heads toward the 2nd floor.
