59 When One Lie is Not Enough.

Time passed slowly as a feeling bloomed inside of him, and it was mostly joy.

Jealousy, however, was also there.

Lie Wei Ying had always felt confident even before he had the system. Whenever there was a challenge, he would find a way to get strong and conquer it. And even though right now he felt cheated, he didn't blame Yu Yan for what happened. Indeed, perhaps she just woke up at the precise moment he decided to save her. Things like that did happen sometimes, and as a boy who was still madly in love with Yu Yan because of the time resonance between him, and his future self. He just wanted her to not feel guilty.

As a man, saving the woman you love was just a requirement. Even if you had to give up experience, take on alien planets, or destroy an entire species of lewd men, you'd do it for your woman!

In fact, if she wasn't dying, perhaps he wouldn't have gotten so much stronger. How else were such breakthroughs possible, was there really any other way? You needed something to push yourself over the limit, and come out the other side a better man. You'd need a source of desire, and such things came sometimes from the most unexpected places. However, one of the most reasonable was love. Unfortunately, you couldn't breakthrough because of a fierce desire for chocolate! He had tried before and failed.

Regardless, Yu Yan looked as smug as a pineapple plum peach sugar comet candy cane as she got the experience. For a second, it seemed like an entire world was at her finger tips, and it kept fueling her with this good feeling that seemed to pervade her soul and cause it to bloom.

"Lie Wei Ying," She screamed with tears in her eyes. She was crying from joy. "You really didn't have to give this to me. I would have been fine with just flowers!"

She knew what a world heart chrysalis was, and it never occurred to her he was giving it to her.

Lie Wei Ying scratched his head. He was confused about what to say. "Uhm, your welcome, but can you save me some?"

He saw that half of the heart was still not used yet. Perhaps they could share it?

Yu Yan looked at him confused. "You mean you weren't giving this to me as our first sixth month anniversary present? Do you really want to take half of it?"

Lie Wei Ying laughed. "Ha, yes it's for our half year anniversary!" He lied. What anniversary was it exactly? He had no idea! Didn't he meet her like five months ago, and five days before the fifth month, or did he get the date wrong? Regardless, he still wanted that other half. "Ha, half-and-half, it's better if we share."

"Uhm, but I want to save it then! You can't just give a girl a present and ask for half of it back! It wouldn't be fair to my collection. I keep all the things from the guys I love!"

Lie Wei Ying was confused. Did she just say all the guys she loved?

How many guys could this girl love? Wait, how old was she anyway, and did she seriously have enough stuff to form a collection? That was like so unattractive it almost put a bad taste in his mouth. However, could Yu Yan truthfully ever make his mouth taste bad, no! He wouldn't care even if there was a huge collection! However, only if they were all in the past.

"Uhm, Yu Yan, how many men are stored in your collection?"

Yu Yan smiled. "Too many too count, Lie Wei Ying. I've loved so many men before, it's hard to keep count."

The expression on Lie Wei Ying's face seemed to sour like he just ate a lemon. It was so sour he felt tears starting to swell up in his eyes. Indeed, the girl he loved got around, ha ha. Wait, shouldn't he ask her first before he assumed the worst. What if he misinterpreted? Weren't things common in relationships? Wait, they weren't even in a relationship! He was just under his future self's spell.

"Yu Yan, there can't really be so many you can't count, right? Like how many guys could a girl have at your tender age."

Yu Yan laughed. "Oh, you don't think I mean love like I love you?" She giggled as a halo of light seemed to bloom behind her back. The process was still going on and she was about to reach the next earth god level.

"No, silly. I am still very pure. However, I love all the men who eat me! However, you're the only guy who gets to taste the real me. I promise you'll be the only one to ever get to know my real flavor! The rest of the guys just chew on the artificial stuff that is a great distance away from my actual body. You're the only one for me Lie Wei Ying." She squeezed tightly onto the dragon grandfather's world heart chrysalis, and smiled as more and more power swelled up inside of her.

Lie Wei Ying wiped away the sweat on his head. It would be bad if the girl he loved had a lot of men. That was a sin right? Or, if it wasn't a sin, it was something no men wanted in their bed room every night! Perhaps because she tasted good he'd manage to be okay with her for like a few thousand years, however, eternity was a long time! It was so much better now that she wasn't the type who was eaten by a lot of people. Wait, wasn't she? But, she wasn't in the way that was bad for a relationship. She also killed all the men who ate her. He'd have to get around that somehow.

How strange was it that he had to deal with a girl who was eaten regularly to kill people? She was even licked before she was swallowed. Ugh, on second thought, he just wanted to give her more world chrysalis's so she wouldn't have to be eaten all the time.

Damn you time resonance for making me care so much! This dramatic caring thing better not be permanent!

He laughed as Yu Yan stared into his eyes. She could tell he cared a lot, and a similar feeling swelled up inside of her heart.

"So, do you still want the heart Lei Wei Ying, or can I trade you something for it?"

She had a very beautiful tone in her voice as she talked to the now more mature four-year-old, Lie Wei Ying. Her voice seemed to be saying I'll give you something good if you accept. However, if you tell me you want it I'll not give it to you and you'll regret it for the rest of your life. Indeed, it might even be something special like a first kiss or something? It would be kind of cute if her little girl form kissed his normal boy form.

However, Lie Wei Ying started to make plans in his head. He really wanted that damn world heart chrysalis. Something must show him the way. There must be an idea out there!

Wait, that was it!

"Uhm, Yu Yan, I am starting a collection too. How about we split that the rest of the world heart into two? Would that work."

From that half of the chrysalis, he could tell she grew two levels. For him, that would be like 6 levels or more. If he had half wouldn't that be three? Yes, if he got 1/4th of it that would be fine. His mouth gulped as he stared at it.

Yu Yan giggled. The process was reaching its final stage, and suddenly she started shaking.

"Uhm, Lie Wei Ying what did you just say? It's starting to feel good suddenly. I didn't know we were at that stage yet where you'd give me these kind of gifts? I'm a pure girl just so you know, but it feels so good!!!!!!"

Yu Yan started screaming in ways that were hard for Lie Wei Ying to describe. However, he truthfully just wanted her to give him the world heart chrysalis already, and stop screaming so loudly in enjoyment.

A few minutes later she stopped, and her hair was messed up.

"Lie Wei Ying, I take back what I said," She laughed, "Your gift was the best I've ever experienced. I now have to keep the rest of it for our collection definitely! It will bring me so much joy to have it in my possession."

Indeed, it brought her so much joy just seeing it would make her feel good. What the hell was this oddly shaped thing and why was it able to bring so much joy? She was inexperienced in the ways of the girl, and sort of liked this pointy thing. Perhaps one day another thing would bring her such joy, but she couldn't imagine what it was.

On the other hand, Lie Wei Ying needed a new plan. He needed some reason to get it. "Come on! It's only 1/4th of an anniversary gift," he thought. Please just give me the rest, so I can grow powerful.

Wait, why didn't he just tell her the truth sort of, but in a way?

Weren't lies better if you added a grain of truth to it?

"Uhm, Yu Yan, how about I promise you I'll get you an even better present if you give me 1/4th for my collection."

He prayed in the deepest part of himself. It was so loud his system and sub system could hear him!

"Uhm, system, can you tell me what's going on outside?"

The subsystem and the system were now buddies and shared the same black page of space in the OP world together. However, only one of them could truly experience the world while the other one just received messages and had to input data.

O.P. was the one who got to experience such things, and he looked at his brother with pity in his eyes. "It's too much for you to understand, S.O.P., I'm sorry."

S.O.P's imaginary jaw dropped all the way to the grass covered floor. "You haven't changed at all overpowered."

O.P. nodded. He was very proud, and misunderstood it wasn't meant to be well received.
