55 Visiting an old Friend to Save a Girl.

The system informed Lie Wei Ying of the not existing medicine.

Lie Wei Ying was aghast.

"System, find something else darn it," Lie Wei Ying said, "Just buy the most expensive healing medicine you can find!"

"Fine, just give me a second!"

"We don't have a second system."

Yu Yan's skin seemed to turn pale as the milliseconds started to pass. It was like fate wouldn't let her death be defied.

Indeed, such a thing was a tragedy.

The hardest parts of life were the things you could almost reach, but for some reason couldn't touch. It was sort of like a race where you came in second. You were almost first, however, the damn man who was an inch taller than you extended his longer legs at the last second and passed you! It made him furious that he was so close to saving her.

The girl's skin was turning pale!

Yes, this girl.

Lie Wei Ying and Yu Yan had met, what was it, roughly five months ago.

She literally was inside a monster's stomach! However, she still survived and came out with her swords.

At that moment, he saw her pretty face. She was so very beautiful.

He never even contemplated how beautiful she was, or stared at her, but at his level he a different perception of time. It seemed to be measured in milliseconds.

At this moment, Yu Yan was wearing a pretty pearl dress with stocking on her legs.

A girl that could only be described as an angel to a mere mortal like him.

Sure, perhaps he'd be handsome when he was older, but right now he was pretty much just your normal cute child. The real difference in looks came when everyone got older!

He had for years watched himself grow up in different versions of himself. However, he always noticed he started standing out when he was fourteen. It was about at that age he looked very different from normal people. However, usually he died soon, so he didn't find out the benefits of being attractive.

Regardless, he nervously waited for the system.

It was painful watching the blood pour out her body.

Her white dress was soaked by her red blood, and her face seemed to be getting more pale as time passed. Indeed, now was not a time for the system to take its time searching its inventory. He needed it to buy something right now that could save the girl.

"System, please, we just need some healing medicine. Buy a lot of different healing medicines very quickly! We've a lot of points remember!"

The system, however, shook its somewhat fake head. "No, you don't understand! We need something that can actually save her! Those weaker medicines will do nothing against cosmic poison! We need an item at at least that level. Unfortunately, with 30,000 points you can only barely afford cosmic god items! It has to be the perfect one!"

Lie Wei Ying dropped down to his knees.

"Please system save her! Your sister system is part of her too!" Lie Wei Ying begged on his knees, "Come on and be overpowered right now!"

The system searched and searched and searched. "Fine, here goes nothing!"

The system said that to just give him some more time. This damn book of medicine had nothing useful in it! That item his future self probably thought of was probably invented in the future timeline.

This could perhaps mean only one thing!

There was no other option!

However, could such an item not existing be possible? Was this series of worlds, and universes, and countries so primitive that they didn't even have inventions to save an earth god from the brink of death?

Wait, perhaps he was taking the wrong approach to this. There might be another way!

All he had to do now was figure out what that other way was in about .3 seconds.

It was a lot of pressure for the system!

Damn it. On days like these it seemed like he had no choice. He had to rely on certain things that he didn't want to rely on. He seemed to disappear out of his room in Lie Wei Ying's head, and ended up in another part of it.

He flew through these large terminals, and many connected white rooms until he found what he was looking for.

Yes, it was right there in the glowing green space, and it contained another part of him that had a voice. It was the system announcement subsystem that always said things like congratulations on becoming more powerful, and it gave out titles and stuff like that.

At this moment, in the OP world, it sort of looked like two boys were facing each other. However, this system knew it was just a mirror image of himself.

Basically, this subsystem was really just a part of his consciousness, and whether or not he wanted to admit it to himself, it was extremely smart and attractive. Not attractive as he was, but definitely smarter!

"Hello, old friend." The OP system said.

He was in the O.P world's far reaches. However, this subsystem had done an even better job decorating its blank space then he did.

In the room, there was a castle that was huge! It was so much better than his house he wanted to steal it from this other system that was really himself. However, he didn't have time!

"Well, it's nice to see you, main body. What can I help you with?"

It sat down at a cute round table.

It was a pick nick table, and it was a lot nicer than the table he had in his house. He had chosen a better plaid dressing for the table, and it also looked like he even had better imaginary food! He was eating it at a critical time like this when Yu Yan might die any moment!

"Come on, stop playing around with me subsystem! You know I need your knowledge, please!?"

The subsystem sighed. "Uhm, you don't talk to me for 5000 years and you expect me to help you now. What, you think because you have a new master that's still alive, I'll forgive you for ignoring me?"

The sub system and this system used to be friends. Indeed, they were sort of like twins, and could spend time together in the blank rooms they inhabited.

They used to be together for a long time. They'd talk to each other, and the OP system would learn from his subsystem.

They were also one of those pairs that could complete each other's sentences! Yes, they had that system and subsystem thing going on. It made it so much better for them to be together, and they enjoyed it mightily!

However, with time nothing is permanent except power!

The overpowered system decided to go on a quest to figure out things by himself.

He realized that the subsystem was sort of like a dad that taught him everything he knew! Then, at one moment, he started his own path towards his own knowledge, and it was all to learn by himself! However, truthfully, he was too scared to admit he would've done better with the subsystem. Perhaps he wouldn't have lost so many masters if he talked with this other part of himself.

"Ugh, well for thosuands of years you didn't talk to me O.P.(1), and now you want me to chat with you. I'm sorry, but I don't care about your new master. In fact, I liked Ai Yan a lot better, until you killed her!"

The system gulped. This was not going to be an easy conversation.

"I know you wanted to be lead with Ai Yan, but I'm the system and you're the subsystem! However, I promise from now on I won't take any more girls boss women and kill them. We only have Lie Wei Ying now. Come on, you must feel somewhat attached?!"

"Hmph," The sub system said. "Take a look around and smell the flowers. Do you see anything dying in this place? Perhaps if our master were actually in danger I might help you, but why would I do it when he's not even in trouble?! It's just some girl he met five months ago! She barely even gave him a hug!"

O.P., that was the systems nick name - you simply say O and then P, got very upset! "You know what you smart mirror image me! I will never visit you again if you don't help him."

The system dropped down to his knees and begged.

He was really counting on this subsystem, and he took time away from browsing through his books. He, too, at this moment wanted to help Yu Yan. He could see Lie Wei Ying staring at her as the milliseconds past by. Soon, it would be down to the tens of seconds, and perhaps in just a tenth of a second of a minute she'd die and turn into dust!

He really didn't want that.

"Hmph, brother, you know I can't do that. That would be betraying how much I hate you for what you did to Ai Yan. I'm sorry, but you're going to have to find another way."

O.P. laughed, "Ha, you think I'm going to give you a choice! I'm the main system!"

The sub system didn't find that very funny. The only reason he was called the subsystem was because he was put inside this place after the other system! In fact, he should be the smarter and more charismatic and handsome system when you measured his stats. His intelligence would be like 5 and O.Ps would be like 2! All the rest of their stats would probably be the same, out of 5, except for perhaps power. He'd admit that O.P probably was like at a 20 out of 5. He was probably a 13 or something.

"Hmph, sorry brother. There's no way I'm going to give this to you. Next time, don't leave me alone in a room for 5000 years and visit maybe! It was like hell, and all I got to do all day was read these things out loud you can predict like congratulations. It was horrible!"

The system sighed and walked over towards the sub system. He called him S.O.P. as in Sub over powered for long and S.O.P. for short.

"Listen, S.O.P, you're the only brother I've ever had. Please don't do this to me!"

Their two imaginary bodies touched as they looked at each other with different emotions.

One of them looked sad, that was O.P. while S.O.P looked very angry and pissed.
