56 Pride at the Moment of Life and Death.

Such days were not the time for these fierce debates between the two systems.

Lie Wei Ying was holding Yu Yan in his hands trying to activate the energy in his body to heal her.

However, the milliseconds were going by quickly!

He had many lives besides this one, and unfortunately all of it led to death. Indeed, he sort of valued death as it was so easy to understand. It was also one of the reasons why he resonated so much with the Dao of Death.

"Please, Yu Yan, don't die," Lie Wei Ying whispered, 'I like you so much, and you taste so good!"

Lie Wei Ying held onto her as he used his little clothes to help soak up her blood.

Even though he didn't want to admit it, at this moment he realized how precious it was to have people in your life.

Nothing mattered more to someone than having someone to love, and Lie Wei Ying was not an exception. In fact, when he compared death to love, of course he'd want to love.

It was right up there with his desire to be extremely powerful, and parallel to his desire to control the universe with his own set of rules!

All he needed to do was wait for the system to decide his fate, and the fate of the girl. The girl who apparently left such a big mark on his future self that he appeared back in time just to save her! How the hell could the system mess up right now? If the system didn't figure out something soon, this would cause him to regret ever getting the system, and that was not what he wanted!

The system was sort of like his best friend now. They were like two peas in a pod, and they talked in Lie Wei Ying's brain. However, he might have to separate himself from that vegetable concoction if the system couldn't save her! I mean, it wasn't only him, even the future Lie Wei Ying was counting on this system right now. Come on system get it together!

The system, currently, was trying his hardest. However, even though it was a very powerful entity, it was not nearly as smart as the subsystem, S.O.P. In fact, he felt like it was hopeless as he tried to come up with words to reason with this man!

"S.O.P," the system said and pat his shoulder. "I think it's about time we realized what's really bothering you."

The sub system looked at him confused. His brother system was trying to figure him out and it bothered him that he didn't do it before.

The sub system had seriously been waiting for this his entire life. Well, maybe at least 400,000 years. That was about as long as they'd been together.

The sub system just wanted to feel like he was respected, and perhaps O.P. could finally give it to him. However, he didn't have high hopes for the O.P. system.

Basically, when they were younger, he the mighty S.O.P. tried to teach the O.P system things. And, indeed, sometimes the system would learn. However, he'd always have these remarks that made him feel inferior.

"Ha, I knew that silly S.O.P." O.P would say. I just asked for fun to test you."

Then at that moment he would write it down in one of his replace the subsystem books!

He still kept those things.

Even worse, he also might say, "Well, I expect nothing less from you, hmph."

Then he would write it down again!

It was like he was too proud to pretend that he, the sub system was smarter than the main OP system. However, today he was finally getting the approval of the system.

"Yes, my plan to deny him help was perfect," he thought with a laugh and looked up at his brother.

"S.O.P, we only have like 1028 milliseconds left. I will do anything you want for two days if you just help Lie Wei Ying out this one time. Come on, you already announce things for him all the time!"

Sub system was shocked. That wasn't what he wanted to hear!

"Hmph, you spend so much time in your royal room that you don't pay attention to the guys below you. Your entire life you never once really took me seriously, or appreciated my mind! I can't stand you, you silly main system! Get out of here, and go to your precious books, which by the way you made from me! Do you realize that? I'm supposed to be the one who knows the answers, and you're the one who kicks the boss into shape. Why are you so dense!? Oh, wait I know." S.O.P snickered.

He was suggesting that O.P was stupid, and the overpowered system didn't get it.

"Hmph, I come here after 5000 years, and you don't realize the great me has stepped down from his mighty room at the front of our boss man's head. You, brother, don't realize what you're doing to him by saying no! Please, you've got to help him. I know you got a plan!"

The sub system once again experienced the excessive pride of O.P and he wasn't happy. Nope, in fact, he felt like speaking in long microsecond sentences so that girl would die, and he could go back to being alone. Who the heck would want someone like this around them anyway?

He already had a castle and all these nice things!

Who needs brothers when you have an imagination full of stuff?

"Psh, you're so dense brother. You may be powerful, but you're not the one with the brains. I'm the one who authored those manuals in your room, not you! I hate that you dared write by O.P. on them. Do you think I didn't realize what you were doing when you asked me questions?"

The Overpowered system, still in his little boy form laughed. "Ah, so you happened to catch on to my great plan. Well, if my plan was so great, Lie Wei Ying wouldn't be in so much trouble right now! I'm begging you brother. Please just look at the situation. I know with your skill set and you can do it! Please, please, I'll let you use some of my points!"

The sub system looked at his mighty brother and laughed. "HAHAHAHA, you're still missing the point, but you're getting closer to the center of the issue. Why don't you try again, and perhaps if you discover why I'm so mad at you, I'll let you use my great abilities for a few minutes."

"Wait, really?"

S.O.P nodded his head. "Yes, of course. However, you've missed it for almost 50,000 years. Unless a miracle comes along, do you even stand a chance of figuring it out. Come on, your precious Lie Wei Ying's girl friend is on the line. You still have 486 milliseconds until her heart shuts off I can tell!"

Lie Wei Ying felt something boiling inside of him.

It was pure rage at the system. He could hear Yu Yan's last heart beat as it stroked against her chest.

Unfortunately, Blue 4, the last clone he had made, had run out of ice.

Even worse than that, he couldn't use a clone again as the virulent poison had adapted. His precious Yu Yan was drifting into her coma before death came to visit her and reap her soul. However, would Lie Wei Ying let anyone take her away from him?

Hmph, he hoped no one would be so brave. However, more than that if the system didn't hurry up, he'd seriously lose her.

The deep blue eyes, almost like staring into an ocean of unimaginable depth, started to fade.

Her heart beat, and her eyes were crossing over to the other side.

Lie Wei Ying had been there a lot of times, and could recognize someone going to visit the death plane.

It seemed like the system had failed.
