58 It's Never a Good Idea to Fake Sleep.

A few minutes later.

The Dragon King, Dai Hu, had just left. He could tell it would be best to leave Lie Wei Ying alone. He was standing by Yu Yan like a defensive beast ready to bite anything that approached.

He, the Dragon King, one of the strongest immortals in this Monarch Knight world, was terrified by a child's eyes. And even though it was unintentional, the boy seemed to be giving off a killing intent of someone in love. Who was this girl, and what did this mean for his daughter?

At this moment, he could only do one thing.

It was time to go ascend the mountain of seven hells, and gain clarity on all matters of the heart there. Once that was done, it would be time for him to be a cosmic immortal!

Basically, something about that battle with Lie Wei Ying had inspired him to get stronger.

Yes, it was his first time ever that he had drawn to someone below his level. It was time for some serious training!

"Hmph, I'll see you in a few months Lie Wei Ying. Perhaps then we can battle again," he whispered that as to not bother Lei Wei Ying.

He was currently almost five miles away now, and even saw his daughter down below. Six men were around her and he decided to land by them and say hi before he left for training.

He landed on a small hill where they were setting up camp. He was once again in his human body, still wearing his crown, and still very much alive.

His daughter saw him and immediately arrived with her arms around his quivering chest.

"Father, you're alright," An Niu said, "I'm so glad!"

The men around her, all the guards, bowed down to their king in the makeshift campsite. All the rest of the men seemed to be so worried pitching the tents, and setting up a temporary base that they forgot to look at their king.

A knight sounded impressed. "Since when has our lord been so strong? We must celebrate immediately."

The dragon king, however, shook his head. "It wasn't I who defeated them. It was my young son-in-law." He fondly looked towards the horizon.

His beautiful daughter was in front of him, and all he could think about at this moment was that if his step son and she had to, you know, how strong their kids would be. However, he would never admit that they one day might do such a ridiculous act. But, truthfully, if he got some strong draconians out of the deal, it probably wouldn't be so bad.

Wait, when he thought about it, that boy had some dragon in him! They'd probably turn out mostly dragon, and might even be royal dragons!

There were so many things about that boy Lie Wei Ying he didn't understand, and wanted to find out. However, now he just had to figure out how to tell his daughter about the current situation.

"Wait, you mean my Lie Wei Ying defeated them," Princess Ai Niu laughed. She already treated him like he was hers even after only one day. If Lie Wei Ying was here, he might be terrified.

"Yes, he did, and he did it for your competition! It was a splendid battle!"

He continued, "At one moment he was sent flying into a mountain and skipped like a little rock amongst a cloud of dust! That was only the beginning. However, since I was there I screamed that he be safe. I even prepared to sacrifice my holy life."

Ai Niu scolded her dad and leaned in. "Father, you weren't thinking about using grandfather's world heart chrysalis, were you? You'd kill everything in a three-mile radius! Then I would have lost both you and Lie Wei Ying."

Dai Hu shook his head. "No, I would've never dreamed of that, Ai! Regardless, you're ruining the story! Lie Wei Ying got powerful, his domain exploded, and he mastered all these things in just like 1 second! He even seemed to summon a powerful being from the future. And, not only that, it was probably his future self and it was extremely handsome! He looked like an angel, and had all this really cool gear!"

Ai Nui sighed, "Uhm, well, thanks for telling me that and all, but who is this girl? Is she as pretty as I am?"

Dai Hu nodded. "She is! Perhaps even more his type. You'll have to work very hard daughter!"

He really wanted to have a powerful son-in-law, so he could let them have powerful, you know, and make grandchildren for him. Lots of little powerful underlings he could groom into fine kings.

Truthfully, as a father, whether he liked to admit it or not. He was okay with him and his daughter, you know, doing that thing after the wedding. If he found them before that, as a dad, there was only one proper thing he could do.

He'd probably get a ton of men to kill Lie Wei Ying in the night. However, he'd probably have to pay a lot of money for that and trusted Lie Wei Ying. Considering he just saved his life it made sense to trust him with her. But then he noticed the fury burning in his daughter's eyes.

"Dad, point me in his direction, so I can go check up on him and give him kisses!"

She really wanted to give him kisses, and kill the woman Lie Wei Ying was with. Yes, it was her plan, and she wanted to make it work no matter what cost. It was now or never. Once a man had his first, you know, it was hard to steal his heart.

And, you may be wondering, why was that?

Because it was hard enough finding a powerful man, and she would not play second fiddle to some marsh mellow thing!

Yes, her instincts told her it was probably the marsh mellow woman who was behind this. However, how could you kill something that could turn into a marsh mellow, and poison you?

She'd have to ponder this on the way over there. Her dad had spoiled her with almost every gadget she could ask for, however the one thing she didn't have was her grandfather's chrysalis. Perhaps if she had that this would all be a piece of cake.

A world heart chrysalis was something all world celestials would make to ascend to the second realm. It was pretty much a cocoon that would shrink and transport you to the other worlds. However, they were also extremely rare, and had a lot of uses. One such use would be extremely useful for dealing with a marsh mellow. It could unleash a soul attack that could kill anything at the immortal level and below! Yes, now she just had to get it.

"Father, can I please have grandfather's chrysalis. My birthday is coming up."

As a spoiled but still kind and beautiful princess, when she used that line she'd usually get it. However, her father was looking down at her with pity in his eyes. "I'm sorry dear. I've already given it to Lei Wei Ying. Unfortunately, I forgot you could be the one to award him with it."

The six knight around him finally got off their knees.

They were all at the immortal level, and bowed before they began to speak.

"Sir, I think it is important that since you've survived we go attack Blue Fire Mountain immediately! They've plotted against us for years, and we have to seek revenge."

Indeed, they had.

Even in his grandfather's time, Blue Fire Mountain desired their territory. However, the Dragon King shook his head.

"They'll be destroyed by the surrounding nations. There is no need for us to claim their territory. Now that they don't have their two cosmic immortals the bandits and thieves will eat them alive and the nations will lick them up. We should let them do it so we don't have to waist our dignity."

The men nodded in agreement. Indeed, they understood their king's plan.

"Sir, if that is your command, we'll return to the castle immediately."

The Dragon King nodded, "Yes, go, and take my daughter with you. She looks like she's about to do something mighty stupid."

Ai Niu who was looking through her moonlight ring for some weapons couldn't believe what her dad said.

"But father! If I don't strike now, I may lose my chance at being the main wife! You can't seriously expect me to wait and do nothing?"

He did.

"If you really go there now, you'll be seen the wrong way dear. You must train yourself to be the perfect wife first, and not get in your competitions way! In fact, since you'll both be his, there is no need to do something stupid! Just start training to be the strongest wife you can be."

Ai Nui gasped, "But father! Your giving up my only chance at taking care of her."

Dai Hu, suddenly, seemed very serious. "If you did anything to her, you'd probably die. Now, daughter, trust your dad for once," he screamed.

He had seriously only seen those eyes on trained killers before. Where the hell did the boy get such eyes?

Even if his beautiful daughter went there and accidently killed the pretty girl, it would still end in her death. In fact, he'd even seen the boy fight the grim reaper.

That man had so many legends it was hard to even picture what his real body would be like. Hopefully, his daughter wouldn't mind being second fiddle if she had to. However, he knew one thing she didn't. Only dragons could get married before the age of 5. Everyone else would wait till at least 20! She had tons of time!

Back at the site of the battle.

Lie Wei Ying looked down at Yu Yan hoping she would wake up.

The sun seemed to be setting slowly, however, it would still be night time sooner than later. He was waiting for his precious Yu Yan to awake, and he even felt like she could at any moment.

Yu Yan indeed could get up.

She was down below him with both her eyes closed.

Basically, she was still mad at him from earlier at the fact that he saved the dragon princess. So, she didn't open her eyes. However, she started feeling kind of sorry for her little champion as he waited over her body. She'd literally kept her eyes closed for perhaps an hour.

If only he wasn't such a traitor, and so good with woman, she wouldn't have to be doing this.

Her entire life men had begged for her to be around them. Yes, since she was a kid back in Mother she'd never chase a man.

Back then, she'd been chased, and people would scream to be around her.

"Yu Yan, give me a taste will you?"

"Yeah, let us have something sweet today!"

She indeed tasted good.

However, so what? She'd just scoff at them. She'd been born with the eat me and I'll kill you system, so since she was a baby she had interesting abilities like tasting good, and having more than one body. Some of the guys in her old town of Flavored ice village would chase her around, and beg for her to go on a date with them.

But, now, she the girl who all guys loved was smitten. And it was to someone younger than her.

The things she cared about went from being powerful to being powerful for Lie Wei Ying. Yes, now all she had to do was wait until he started crying. She'd wake up when that happened. Or perhaps if he just carried her away in the sky, when he wasn't looking she could open her eyes.

But then, suddenly, she felt something crash into her body.

"Wait, stop," Yu Yan screamed.

She opened her eyes as Lie Wei Ying slammed the chrysalis into her chest.

"Oh my gosh, you're okay," Lie Wei Ying screamed and looked down at the cracking world chrysalis, and couldn't believe what he just did!

"Yes, I am. What did you just do to me?"

Yu Yan seemed to be picked up by the stars and carried into the sky.

Lei Wei Ying looked at her in disbelief.

That could've been him right there!
