16 Embracing the Dao of Death.

The girls from the town were watching Lie Wei Ying's battle.

The sun was almost fully set, and they once again regained full control over themselves.

Mei Xing was with Feng Mian hovering in the air as the rest of the girls waited behind them.

"So, you think he's going to be alright," Mei Xing asked the small girl sitting on her lap.

Feng Mian was there wiggling her feet as they all lounged on each other floating in the sky. However, Feng Mian seemed upset at this moment. A few tears were coming down her face as she looked through a pair of enhancement rocks, so she could see the battle from a few miles away.

"Uhm, girls, he just got stabbed in the neck. I'm sorry, but we'll have to find another hero."

Feng Mian passed the rocks to Mei Xing. However, the hero was also supposed to get hit before he got back up! That was in every hero's tale, and all seven of them were supposed to experience near defeat before the battle was won.

"You're giving up to early Feng Mian! Didn't you want us all to marry him?"

It was there plan to get married to Lie Wei Ying once he was old enough to do so. An entire town of beautiful girls, whom had only a sliver of hope before today, were ready to give themselves away to Lie Wei Ying if he just won this battle. However, Feng Mian was starting to lose that hope.

"Guys, I saw Lie Wei Ying slaughter the counts in just a few seconds. He's incredibly strong for someone his age. Yet, if he only trained for a few more years, he would've been able to save us all! Why do young men have to be so foolish?"

Mei Xing laughed as did the other girls. "You know, he's getting up right now Feng Mian. I told you to not doubt the tale."

Feng Mian's face bloomed with a flower like brightness as she once again returned to her happy peach form. "Really," She screamed. The girls all laughed and smiled at her as she once again watched the battle.

Little God landed in front of Lie Wei Ying as the boy wiggled to his feet.

"You know you don't have to stand up. I could've just killed you where you were on the floor." He said as he gripped his blade. The distance between him and Lie Wei Ying was roughly 500 yards. However, at his level it would take less than a second to get there.

Lie Wei Ying smiled at him as he held onto his neck.

He had earned something called the constitution of the gods when he leveled up to the purple infinity core stage, and it had just saved his life. The Constitution of the gods was only 1/9th complete right now. However, it was more than enough to stop the weak Dao of Little God.

Lie Wei Ying then looked up as a black flame burst around his body. He looked at the daggers as they began to be surrounded by that black flame.

"Congratulations, your Dao of Death has reached 5% mastery."

It was entry mastery in the Dao of Death, one of the stronger Dao you could start out with. There was a plethora of Dao and some of them did little besides get named. However, the Dao of death was a formidable Dao Lie Wei Ying had earned from his countless experiences with death.

In the entire universe, not many could bolster they'd died more than Lie Wei Ying. Perhaps only the grim reaper could truly say he understood death better then the boy. Well, there was also that soul woman who saved his life. She also knew death better than Lie Wei Ying. However, it was still an extremely strong Dao for him to start off with.

Little God paused for a second before he looked at Lie Wei Ying's aura. "Wait, weren't you supposed to be in the golden core stage. How is this possible?" Without waiting for an answer, he accelerated and lashed out with a furious attempt on Lie Wei Ying's life.

Yet, as soon as he arrived he looked down and saw a dagger pierced through his heart.

"Sorry, but I'm not at the golden core stage any longer," Lie Wei Ying said with a smile on his face.

His hand then moved up and down from inside Little God's body.

Instantly, what he thought was going to be an easy victory turned into a staggering defeat.

"Congratulations, you've killed Little God owner of the Soul Overlord System. Exp Boost received x 100"

"Congratulations, you've ended his reign of terror and freed thousands of girls!"

Lie Wei Ying smiled before he looked at the Overlord Swords on the floor. He picked them up and put them in his bag. However, a second later the fifty angels appeared around him. They seemed exceptionally angry and couldn't believe what had just happened.

"You didn't kill him, did you?"

One of the girls cried as she walked over to him. "We're all going to die because of you, this is all your fault!"

Lie Wei looked over at them confusedly. "Uhm, he was trying to kill me. What do you expect ladies, for me to lie over and die?"

The angels all sighed before they felt the force of death tugging on them. "Just know you're not a her…."

They all said that in unison. However, a second later their wings start to fall off.

The feathers blew away in the wind as the entire town started to change.

Above Lie Wei Ying, a glowing dome appeared before it also started blowing away in the wind.

The girls all flew over to him as the angel's bodies plopped down. This was true even in Little Gods Castle where his thousands of other ladies were. The entire Monster City was becoming a much happier place by the second.

The girls no longer felt shackled to that strange feeling binding their soul. This entire time they were under something called the [soul puppet calling technique].

Lee Xu, the wolfman, had just gotten up and had his adopted daughter in his arms. However, he felt his wolf face transforming. A second later, Ai Jun jumped on him. She always knew her dad would be a handsome man!

Lie Wei Ying walked towards the towns as some very shocked girls followed behind him.

The angels were all just girls used as soul markers.

The Soul Overlord System had turned these girls into a beacon, for souls from his other lives. These were all his former lovers in his other life, and he was using this town to raise the most beautiful bodies for them!

The technique required they all be at the early foundation stage, and it also required the twilight cultivation method. However, now that he killed Little God the girls were all back to their normal selves. However, they were immediately surprised by their strong cultivation.

Feng Mian was one of the first girls to see Lie Wei Ying and she flew like a giddy preteen towards her hero.

"Lie Wei Ying, you saved us,"

She coiled her arms around his neck.

It still kind of hurt from his last battle, even though it healed, and he laughed before a slew of other females also joined in on the hugging.

"You know you girls would've been fine without me Lie Wei Ying said.

The dome above him was almost completely done melting, and he felt a strange wind blowing into the remains of Monster City.

"Ha, well, you're going to have to take responsibility for saving us. Don't you know what the hero does after he saves the girls of this town?"

Lie Wei Ying scratched his head. He kept hearing this story about the hero, however, he was sure those must have been made up. In fact, it all seemed like an extremely ridiculous joke. Yet, he decided to humor the girls who were latching onto him. At the same time, he was trying to figure out where this town was located.

As long as it wasn't the desert of death, he should be fine.

Feng Mian wrapped her hands around Lie Wei Ying's neck before Mei Xing walked up and rubbed his small little chest. "Well, when you're a little bit older, you can have your way with us. How does that sound Lie Wei Ying?"

The girls behind him all giggled as Lie Wei Ying blushed. He had no idea what that meant. Yet, he was sure that sounded like a nice proposition. However, he still had one burning question.

"Uhm, I will gladly except. Yet, I still want to know one thing. What did you guys do all day when you were hypnotized?"

An angel appeared behind Lie Wei Ying and put her hand against his back. "I'm afraid these girls wouldn't know. But I can tell you," One of the former angels named Wang Shu said. She wrapped her arms around her big round mounds as Lie Wei Ying looked confusedly at her.

"We were sculpting an army for him. Once he turned into an immortal, he would've been able to summon other immortal souls with one of his abilities. However, he's dead now. Thank you for what you did for us.

Lie Wei Ying nodded. Of course, he had no problem saving these girls. It was only the right thing for him to do considering he was a man and was strong. It was a rule that men who were strong had to save women when they were in trouble. Then, after you saved them, you could start the process of love. However, one of his other dads never finished telling him how to do that. They died in a tragic carriage ride, and he fell off a cliff before the whole love thing was explained.

A second later though, he felt something gigantic hovering over him.

The girls, a few of them at the emperor stage, started shaking. A gigantic man was floating in the sky with a beautiful woman floating in front of his face.
