36 A new Dao!
Lie Wei Ying felt the air touch against his face.
The overpowered system sighed, "How hard was it to get a girlfriend to drop her boyfriend? Hmph, just tell her he cheated Lie Wei Ying, or something profound!"
If the overpowered system was there, he'd tell her to check for panties in the man's coat pocket. Then he'd kick him away.
Lie Wei Ying had died three hundred times during this challenge. Also, he didn't even know what he looked like now. He could be an ugly fat man. No wonder she kept tossing him to the curb.
Her boyfriend struggled as her fragile arms tried to hold onto them both. Usually, she'd drop him right now, however; he finally had a plan!
"He's my older brother," Lie Wei Ying screamed, "Mom told me to never tell him, but I must! I love you brother."
His fake brother smiled at him, and let go of her hand!
However, he had never gotten up to this part before. The girl was so depressed she dropped him again!
"What the heck!"

The system shook his head as he tried to describe his time with Qing. He was writing in his memoir about it on a beautiful wooden table in the OP world. Yes, it was just a few thousand years ago. He remembered it like it was a thousand years ago.
Qing was an extremely talented boy who was a reincarnator.
He found the system in a throne room, and immediately gave away his last two lives! It was so beautiful to be with him!
He wrote with a furious sadness, however; because, at the time, he was still a young and naïve and an inexperienced overpowered system. He ended up taking the man directly in front of an immortal dire beast. Yes, at that time he was sure the overpowered skill would do its job! He even had the boys two last lives.
However, Qing was nervous. So nervous he didn't realize he was powerful!
Luckily, at least he was crunchy. He lasted a few minutes in the beast's mouth.
He set the record for the longest man before Lie Wei Ying in that disgusting mouth. He added it to the list of monsters Lie Wei Ying must kill when he finishes this challenge and levels up to Nascent stage.

"He's my older brother, and I also love you with all my heart. Sorry, I can't believe I never told you."
The system nodded in approval! This was it. The moment he was waiting for.
"Splat"
He wrote about Lee's battle against the gods. Yup, it was almost as exciting as Lie Wei Ying's attempt at not dying again.
The girlfriend looked shocked as her boyfriend let go of her hand.
Lie Wei Ying was starting to get the gist of this challenge. He was supposed to learn to lie his way out of trouble. This had nothing to do with the heart! It was all about lying!

The black heart attack system scratched her head at the boy's unusual method.
The challenge of the heart wasn't only about making the heart stronger. It was also about testing endurance! Usually, when someone died in these challenges it would leave a scar, and once that scar was long enough they would fail. However, Lie Wei Ying's heart barely had a scratch on it! It was like he was already used to dying.

Lie Wei Ying hugged onto the pretty girlfriend as his former brother splat. Ha, it wasn't him this time!
"I really do love you," he hugged her as he faded away.
The girlfriend dropped to her knees and looked around in confusion! Where had the loves of her life gone?

Lie Wei Ying opened his eyes as he found himself in a new situation.
"Welcome to your fiftieth challenge. The pole of eternal damnation."
The entire atmosphere seemed to be gone, and Lie Wei Ying was choking from lack of air!
He balanced on top of a pole way above a planet with lush green skies. However, instantly he felt like he was suffocating.
"Your goal is to make friends with the Dao of Space. Reach 10% of mastery in the Dao of space to stop the pain."
Yes, Lie Wei Ying had to do something nearly impossible right now. He had to try and get in touch with a Dao as he was dying. And, even worse, every time he respawned he'd only have a tiny bit of air. Whose damn idea was this?
Black Heart attack loved this challenge. It was her masterpiece!
It required a certain aptitude to master a Dao! Not everyone was meant for the space Dao, and this was really a trick test. However, she looked at the boy curiously. Did he not get the challenge was a ruse? Was it that hard to figure out if you climbed down the pole you'd get fresh air! You're right over a green planet boy, which has air. Come on and figure it out!
Lie Wei Ying meditated. Even the overpowered system realized his sister's foul play. However, he had already got shocked plenty of times during the last challenges for blurting things out. Now, unfortunately,
he'd have to watch Lie Wei Ying die again. He added another line to Lie Wei Ying's fake death count. It went up to 3017.
"Ah hah!" Lie Wei Ying felt an insight coming on. The laws of space seemed so much clearer up here. When he lost the air in his lungs, it seemed to make it easier to think. Yes, for the first time, he saw a path into the cosmos. Everything seemed to make sense, and then he died again!
However, he respawned and waited for the air to leave his throat.
This time, at the exact moment before he died again, he was sure he'd unlock the secrets to the space dao.
Basically, most people never got to experience the feeling of constant suffocation. However, Lie Wei Ying saw the secret in suffocation. It was like the universe only required you to lose air, and all its secrets would be revealed. Perhaps that was why he always felt smarter after he died. It was because it led to the secrets of the universe! Either that was the case, or this was an entirely painful and cruel way of training.
However, someone like him who wanted nothing but to be overly powerful seemed to enjoy the feeling of dying. If it led to power, it was all worth it.
"Yes, that's it, suck the air from me!"
The black heart system shook her head. "I give him ten more deaths before he completely breaks."
She felt confident. However, he wouldn't stop dying until he mastered the space Dao.

Five days later.
Lie Wei Ying felt like he was breaking. He finally felt that tug of the universe pulling at him, and the air in his lungs seemed to carry him through the fifth minute.
"Congratulations, your Dao of Space of Time has reached 15% mastery."
The black heart system had a tear in her eye. She felt truly terrified she'd have to watch the boy die again.
This boy, right now, seemed to be some sort of monster. What kind of boy would be able to take dying over 10,000 times, and not have a scratch on his heart? It was like he was a beast, and she was the prey. The entire world no longer made sense, and she couldn't help but complement her brother.
"You found a good boy brother," Black heart attack had enough of this challenge. However, she finally saw the light. No really, the boy was glowing gold from recognition of the Cosmos. This meant that he was the first Cosmic Nascent Cultivator. Wait, was that even a thing?
Well, you might be wondering what does this mean? Basically, he could now breathe in space! Being a cosmic anything was about being able to breathe in space.
She immediately stopped the challenge as he wouldn't die here any longer.

A bubble burst outside in the real world as Yu Yan looked up curiously.
She'd been guarding the bubble Lie Wei Ying was left in for five months. Where had, the boy been this entire time?
Yup, the time passed by quite painfully for Lie Wei Ying.
He had been up in the sky for so long he was almost four! However, because of the time difference between here and where the great Horandia was his parents were fine. Indeed, in Mother only roughly a day had passed.
And, even better than that, he was now only a day away from his birthday.
Ying Yu already had his present picked out. Yes, she'd win the slot of first wife no matter what the cost!
She perused the vaults of her kingdom and stared at all the beautiful trinkets. There must be something here she could give to Lie Wei Ying that was useful. Finally, however, she picked up one of the extra rocks that went along with the set her father kept in her storage ring. Perhaps she should give him the fifth one, and tell him what it does?
