Chapter 17 Graduation day
Time skip
It's been 8 months since the picnic and many things changed in the Konoha. The attitude of civilians towards Naruto. Now none of them give him the hateful glares. During this time Naruto requested Cocytus to teach him the basics of sword style. He trained under him for more than 7 and a half months. He learned not only basics but also some advanced moves. He intentionally kept his scores in the middle of the academy neither high nor low.
After finishing his 30th lap around Konoha, Naruto returned to his new home which is near the Senju compound which is almost empty. After finishing his breakfast he is on his way to the academy. The written test is already over, today they have to perform the jutsu in front of their respective teacher.
Naruto thought, "Finally I am on time. Now I have to graduate."
He went to his assigned class. He sat there, waiting for his other classmate to arrive. Shikamaru was the first to arrive.
Shikamaru greeted him, "Hey Naruto."
Naruto greeted him back, "Hai Shika."
Shikamaru said, "If there is no clone jutsu, you will pass."
Naruto replied, "Let's see about that during the exam."
Slowly, the class was filled with students. Some were nervous and others were excited. Everyone knows today is a very important day in the life of a ninja.
Iruka enters the classroom and starts telling the rules.
Iruka said, "Come one by one in the examination hall. Your name will be called, so don't be impatient. This time you have to perform clone jutsu."
Shikamaru thought, "I feel bad for Naruto, he will not be able to clear the exam."
Iruka said to his students, "Good luck to all of you."
One by one students were called and they went into the exam hall to perform the jutsu in front of Iruka, Mizuki, and one other instructor.
Iruka called, "Ino"
Ino did hand signs and said, "Clone jutsu"
Three Ino were standing in front of them.
Iruka replied, "You passed, here is your Leaf headband."
Ino said with a happy face, "I am an official ninja now."
Iruka called the next student, "Sakura."
Sakura said after doing hand signs, "Clone jutsu."
Three Sakura were standing in the hall.
Iruka replied, "You passed. Take your leaf headband."
Sakura raised her arms in the air and said, "Ohh yes."
Iruka called another student, "Sasuke."
Sasuke did hand signs and said, "Clone jutsu."
Four sasuke is now inside the hall.
Iruka replied, "You passed. Here is your leaf headband."
Sasuke's low voice sounded, "Hnnn"
Shikamaru and others also passed the exam. They walked back to the classroom with their leaf headband.
Iruka called, "Naruto."
Mizuki smiled from inside. He was thinking how to defile the name of Naruto and now he can get a chance.
Naruto without hand signs said, "Clone jutsu."
Seven clones of Naruto are standing in the hall.
Iruka is shocked but still said, "You passed Naruto. Here is your leaf headband. "
Naruto said to Iruka, "Thanks sensei. "
Mizuki can't believe what he just saw when Naruto performed the clone jutsu without the hand signs.
The instructor asked, "Naruto I am curious, how did you form the jutsu this time and that is without hand signs."
Naruto replied, "Trying to do a jutsu without the hand signs is the hardest thing. For me, clone jutsu is the hardest with the hand signs. So I tried it without hand signs and it worked." He thought, 'Thank god it worked.'
Iruka said, "That's great Naruto, now go to your class. You still have a last lecture from me as a shinobi of the leaf village.
The instructor is still shocked. Mizuki was gritting his teeth. He can't believe all of his planning is wasted.
Naruto entered his class with his new leaf headband which shocked everyone.
Kiba said to Naruto, "I thought you sucked in clone jutsu."
Naruto replied, "Not anymore."
[Ding!!!!On-time for academy till graduation ]

Shikamaru asked him, "Are you here, Naruto?"
Naruto replied, "Yes I am."
Shikamaru said, "You looked like daydreaming. Anyway, I didn't expect that you would clear the exam very easily."
Naruto replied, "I am surprised too. I did it easily this time."
Shikamaru said, "At least you graduated from the academy."
Iruka enters the class.
Iruka congratulated everyone, "Congratulations on becoming the genin. Now you are not an academy student but a genin of Konohagakure. I hereby officially announce that you all graduated from the academy. Come back tomorrow to meet your Jonin sensei and to find your newly assigned team."
Everybody cheered, and Hinata came to meet Naruto.
Hinata said, "Congratulations Naruto kun."
Naruto replied, "Congratulations Hinata Chan. So how does it feel to become a genin?"
Hinata answered, "I do not know Naruto kun."
Naruto said, "Genin are the lowest in terms of rank in the shinobi world. Let me tell you things that the academy won't tell you."
Hinata asked him, "What is that Naruto kun?"
Naruto replied, "In the field, anything can happen. It is not a bed of roses but it's a path made of thorns. Don't hesitate to kill, if you don't, the opponent will kill you. And sometimes they go for worse."
Hinata said, "I know Naruto kun."
Naruto replied, "Be sure to be safe. The shinobi world is dangerous, especially for genins."
Iruka suddenly appeared behind them and said, "Naruto, don't scare Hinata."
Hinata replied, "Don't worry Iruka sensei, Naruto kun is telling the truth. I know it."
Naruto added, "I am telling her to be cautious in the field. That's all."
Iruka said, "It's not that bad. I will take both of you for lunch."
Naruto replied, "I would come and you are coming too, Hinata."
Hinata blushed and said, "Yes Naruto kun."
They went together for lunch on Ichiraku. Iruka's wallet hit a bottom line again but it doesn't matter to him because today was the day all of his students graduated. So he is happy.
After leaving Hinata near the Hyuga compound Naruto sends a shadow demon to keep an eye on Mizuki.
Naruto went to his new house, which is a 2-storey house from the outside but there are 3 underground floors which are hidden from everyone. Naruto created the other 3 floors with the help of the system. The entire house is covered with fuinjutsu protection. Below the house, he has a meeting room which is to be made for the sole purpose of meeting his subordinates. On the 2nd floor of the underground is the training room. And last room is both the study room and the experimenting room where he tries to invent new types of fuinjutsu seals.
Naruto is checking his stats.

Naruto asked his system, "Any reason for that Jane."
[Momonga's power is on the world level, it can shift the balance of this world. But your child-like body cannot handle it for now. It cannot be opened without destroying your body. You have to wait till you have an adult body. ]
Naruto said, "I find it reasonable. I can still beat my enemies without it. Thanks, Jane for telling me."

Naruto thought, 'What the hell mizuki will do now? I have to wait and see.'
Naruto started to do meditation, which is a habit that he developed during these 8 months. He concentrated on the special chakra of his eyes and brain which he developed himself during this time. Uchihas and Hyugas have got their special chakra from birth. He created his special chakra through meditation.
At first, he started to meditate to gain focus and to improve his kenjutsu. The results are more than satisfactory. Then he tried to unlock some of his mental energy which was a success. Now he wants to take it to a level where it can create a dojutsu of his own. After completing his meditation, he went to a nearby training ground. It was Senju's training ground. So no one is there to disturb him. After practicing the basics of kenjutsu he got a message from his Shadow Demon that Mizuki is on the move. He is preparing to leave the Konoha. After stealing the scroll of seals he will directly flee to Orochimaru.
Naruto is waiting in an area from where he will pass. Mizuki arrived a few minutes later with the scroll of seals. As soon as Mizuki saw Naruto, he attacked him with kunai. Naruto dodged it and saw him in fake fear.
Naruto said in a fearful voice, "Why are you attacking me Mizuki sensei? Why?"
Mizuki answered him with a smile, "Because I don't like you, and let me tell you a secret."
Naruto curiously asked, "What secret?"
Mizuki said, "Why do these villagers hate you so much?"
Naruto replied, "They don't hate me."
Mizuki snorted and said, "Chhhhh. It is because the Third hokage has reintroduced about Uzumaki clan and their relationship with Konoha and Senju. But if they never revealed it, they would have still hated you, till the day you died."
Naruto said with a depressed face, "Why do they hate me? It doesn't make sense."
Mizuki in a loud voice said, "12 years ago when the Fourth Hokage defeated the Kyuubi, it could not die so he sealed it with the price of his life."
Naruto objected to it and said, "Fourth Hokage can never fail. Kyuubi is dead."
Mizuki laughed and said, "You are wrong. He sealed it in a newborn baby and that baby is you Naruto. You are the reincarnation of Kyuubi."
Naruto in disbelief said, "No it can't be."
Mizuki attacks the Naruto with a barrage of kunai. But he dodges all of them.
Mizuki with a disbelief in his face said, "How? You are just fresh genin."
Naruto laughed and said, "hehehehehehe. Mizuki you just made me laugh. Are you dumb? Calling me the reincarnation of Kyuubi and attacking me. How did you become a teacher? A foolish teacher."
Mizuki angrily said, "You are gonna die."
Mizuki tries to throw his big shuriken but it passes through him. It's a clone technique. He used substitution and put a clone in his place.
Naruto appears behind him and kicks him on his butt with a lot of strength.
Naruto taunted him, "Now don't lick the mud, Mizuki sensei."
Before Mizuki can get up. Naruto jumps up and lands on his sensei's butt. It made the whole body of Mizuki go numb for some time.
Naruto said, "You got a nice butt, let me play with it a bit more."
Naruto jumps up and down on his butt with full impact a few more times. His footwear print marks are on Mizuki's butt now. Mizuki cannot feel his legs and it may need some time for him to recover.
Naruto said in an innocent voice, "Ohh sensei, you can't get up. Maybe I was a little too rough."
Naruto grabs his hair and slams him into the tree. Mizuki tries to use the mark given by Orochimaru. Naruto senses it grabs his mark and forcefully destroys it with his chakra. Muzuki can't do anything now.
Naruto checks his pocket takes his ninja wire and ties him to the tree.
Naruto said in mock sadness, "My poor sensei is so helpless."
Mizuki in a helpless tone said, "You demon brat, why are doing this to me."
Naruto calmly said to Mizuki, "You call me a demon brat and ask me why I do this. Do you think I will not notice what you were trying to do in the academy with me? You were the one who was provoking other teachers all the time against me. Sabotaging my studies. I find it suspicious that clone jutsu is the final exam jutsu for a succession of three years in the final exam, it must be your work."
Naruto starts beating him. It is like a Wu Shu practice session for him. He beats him till he is satisfied. After some time Anko arrives. Naruto handed over the culprit and Scroll of Seals. Anko takes Mizuki and disappears to the Konoha intelligence department and Scroll of Seals is returned to the Hokage tower by an Anbu who met Anko on the way.
Naruto returns to his house after this incident.
Naruto said to himself, "What a great day, I have for the graduation day. I beat the shit out of that bastard Mizuki."
