3 Enslaved

"Listen to me tiger chick. I'm hungry, so I stole the bread, and there are some bad guys after me, so you being a tiger will protect me. Your master" he boasted in the cockyest manner possible.

I felt like kicking him where it hurts and then beating him to an elf smoothy, but all I was able to do was stand there like a... a doll carved out of stone and sand. Uhhhh, once I break free from this spell, I will kill him.

"Now then my pretty slave why don't you call me Master Steven. Oh, I can imagine that, sooooo cute."

As he continues to brag about what was gonna happen and how I would punch the mafia. And how I will help him get away with stealing enough food to last all winter. I was busy figuring out how to break the spell.

"to break spells cast by an elf" uncle Jeran's words rang in my head "one must be scared of nothing, one must be prepared for failure, one must gather all their strength, courage and then recite the prayer of the fifteen beast gods."

I wanted to break free, and it didn't take much effort. It made me realize that the boy in front of me was weak and fragile and was very much in need of protection.

I walked behind his endless boast continuing to pretend I was under his control. Much like he said the mafia appear and were being total asshats to the sleep deprivation, starving, overconfident Elf.

"Where did you get that nice coat, let me try it on. I'm sure you don't need it since you sleep on the ground and use magic to keep you warm." One of the five mafias spoke, he was a giant dark middle-aged elf and had an awful sense of clothing. "I see you found a cat she looks purrfect. Why don't you give her to us? You know we'll treat her well" said another. He was a stinky demon who was more or less the same as the elf boy. I could feel myself wanting to drag my furry furious hands across his face and make him cry for mercy.

Then the leader among the men dragged Steven by his long elven ears that he hid under a top hat which has a string red lace around the base of the hat. To prevent suspicion, I follow the men as though I was following the spell caster.

We entered a small dingy alleyway...
