Prologue

A man looked at his son with teary eyes, unwilling to leave him behind. A ship stood behind the father, slightly swaying in the wind. No, not like the ships that are made of iron, but made of wood like those from the older ages, with sails and all.

The father removed the cloak he was wearing and draped it around his son. The boy cuddled the cloak. Slowly, the sky started growing dark and wind picked up.

"I have to go now." the father said gravely after glancing at the sky and started walking towards the ship.

Now, you might have thought that tears would flow from the boy's eyes. But they gleamed, reflecting the beautiful sunset.

Father is always away, sailing the seven seas and having adventures with his crew. He tells his adventure to his son whenever he returns.

The father climbed the ramp and stepped inside the ship. Fellow crew members of his father stared at him. The ship soon started sailing towards the horizon. The clouds are unusually dark today.

'Looks like a huge thunderstorm is brewing, I wonder if father would be okay' the boy thought.

His father has told him he would be back for him, and this would be his last adventure. When he told his uncle that he will become an adventurer like his father, he laughed. "Ha-ha! Just study and be a doctor, boy! I'm sure you could have a lot of adventures!" His usually cheerful uncle looked so glum.

"Hey, little brother, take care of my son for me, I'll be back!" He shouted and waved from the ship.

The son and his uncle looked at the ship till it was out of sight. Thunder rumbled, and it started raining. Fortunately, uncle brought the umbrella and unfolded it.

'Dad said that he would be back' the boy thought. But he has a gut feeling that this is the last time he would see his father for a long, long time.

The boy's uncle took him to the car and rode back to their house.

The dad looked toward his son, knowing that this might be his last time. The First Mate awaited his captain's orders. "Your orders, captain"

"You know what to do. Proceed"

The First Mate looked grim, seeing that his captain's dangerous goal hadn't changed even after seeing his son.

The boy took a last glance at the ship, and it looked like it was floating towards the black, skull shaped clouds.
