A raised hand stopped Elenia where she spoke. 

King Ikarat took a second to re-analyze the confidence in her eyes. "... You say that your father, Lord Rifton, my leading seal scholar, has had no direct influence over the summoning you're about to perform? Aside from guiding you through material acquisition?"

To the king's surprise, Elenia shook her head. 

"My father has had no direct involvement or influence over the summoning ritual I'm about to perform. I was the one who chose my needed materials. When my father suggested otherwise, I made no changes to my demands. He only helped in acquiring the materials in order for me to gather everything in time for this performance." 

"Put in other words," Ikarat surmised, "you've gone against your father's teachings and suggestions. And the summoning you're about to attempt is an entirely different process, yes?" 

"That's right."
