Chapter 8 : Reborn

Grim was dead, the fire that enlighten the circle, vanished for a few seconds then came back, the fire grew brighter and larger, Leo can feel the heat in his skin.

"So what now? I came here with the thought of finding something good, but everywhere I look, all I see were bones" Grim's body turned into ash, the air sweep off the remains of Grim.

The deafening silence, the blinding bright light, the mysterious place, the stagnant air, and the inexplicable events. Many thoughts had crossed Leo's mind, he tried to figure out things but he couldn't find the answers he's seeking.

"Leo's taking a long time finding his wallet, he should've let it go and get a new one" Annie was worried because the gate will close in 29 minutes.

"Maybe he got attacked by a monsters?" Oriam asked.

"Nah, the boss is a Necromancer, so if there's still monsters remaining when we entered its room and the time we beat him and leaved, all the remaining monsters will also vanished" explained by Neil.

"Should I fetch him? I feel really uncomfortable right now" Annie was sweating on her forehead, she's fidgeting her hand, then she took out her handkerchief and wiped off the sweats

"No, what if the gate closed and both of you were still inside? Let's just wait for him here" Neil stops Annie from going back inside the gate. She understood what Neil was trying to say and didn't resist.

"Leo..."

Leo had thought of going back, but instead he sat down, thinking that there might still something inside there.

And then 10 warp gates appeared out of thin air, monsters came out of the gates, Leo quickly stood up and picked up the scythe. Leo was ready to fight the monsters when a voice suddenly spoke.

"Leo, don't worry, they are not your enemies" the voice was echoing inside the place.

"What is it this time? There's so many things that had happened today and there's still more" even though the voice said not to worry, Leo felt uneasy with the monsters around. There were a dragon, beast, hobgoblin, a large spider, a serpent, high orc, ogre, an undead, an elf, and a vampire.

"This is one weird of a meeting, what are we here for?!" Leo asked, but the voice just ignored him.

All the monster, walked towards the circle, they each took a certain position, leaving the middle spot empty.

"Now Leo, you too, go at the middle"

Leo despite the fact that he didn't know anything, followed the voice' order and went at the middle.

"And then? What now? You should hurry up with this because the gate will soon close" Leo asked, spreading his arms.

"Don't be so hasty, you'll come back in time. Now that all of you are inside the circle" a gate had spawned, Leo looked up, trying to figure out what's gonna happen next.

A sword, different swords, slowly emerging from the gate. A considerable amount of swords complete visible and floating in the air came crashing down to Leo and the others, the swords had pierced them all over their body, a flood of blood filled the blazing circle.

"Someone needs to die, for them to be reborn"
