Chapter 16: Re-Evaluation

[Sending out all rewards]

[Transfer complete, teleporting back to human world]

[All rewards sent...]

Before Leo could open the rewards he received, he was transferred back to his world but randomly.

"Where the hell am I!?"

The walls were painted white, papers were pile up on top of the desk, the airconditioner blew out the cold cherry-scented wind that lingers inside Leo's nose.

Leo looked around, it was a simple company-like office for him. Leo still wondering where he'd ended up were disturbed.

An office lady had open the door, she went inside holding a brown folder, Leo's figure snatched her sight, she quickly stared at him.

"Who are you!? What're you doing here!?"

She opened the lid of her pen, pointing it to Leo.

"Uhh... It's not what you think..! I was.. looking for the... umm... the bathroom! Right! The bathroom!"

Leo was panicking, thinking of another excuse to say to her. His face reddened.

"Bathroom!? Does this room looks bathroom to you!? Whatever, I'm calling the authority on you!"

She took out her phone, punching in the numbers to dial. Her phone rang, then a beep sound echoed sign of someone picking up the call.

"Hello? Security guard, can you come up here there's someone inside my office, he looks"

She glanced at Leo, head to toe. Leo's clothes were torn and all muddy mixed with dust and dry leaves.

"He looks like a burglar!"

Leo approached her, snatched the phone away, preventing her from saying something anymore than she had.

"Give it back to me!"

"Lemme explain Mrs. umm.. Cristina. Lemme explain first why I'm here"

"I'm a Ms. not a Mrs., okay fine!"

She finally shut up, Leo sighed in relief.

"Umm first where am I? I mean the location"

"You're in Quezon City! Why are you asking? What're you an idiot?"

"I'm not, Quezon city?" 'it's pretty far'

"Yep! And you're currently inside the Hunter's Agency's main branch! and in my office"

Leo was surprised when he heard that he's inside the agency. He smile in his mind, thinking that he's lucky to be teleported there since he has something to do there.

"Right! Hunter's Agency, I'm here for the re-evaluation!"

He exclaimed. Leo took out his license and showed it in front of Cristina's face. She took it from his hands and looked at his license.

"Hunter... Leo K Nicholas!?"

She was a bit surprise and happy because she doesn't have to go all the way to Leo's whereabouts, bring him there and have him re-evaluated.

The security guard she had called up, had reached his way to her office. He went inside.

"Ma'am is it him?"

"Uhh... Guard, It was a misunderstanding. Sorry to call you up here"

She slightly bowed her head, the guard said nothing and leave the office. She turned back to Leo.

"Well, I'm sorry to you too. You saved me the time of looking for you, shall I escort you to the evaluation room?"

Cristina placed the brown folder on top of the desk and let a little smile on her face, trying to cover her false accusation.

Leo who's still a bit angry for mistaking him of a robber didn't reply anything and slightly nodded his head.

Cristina led the way down the hallway, Cristina's office is in the 5th floor, they walked amid of employees working on their desks.

Leo couldn't suppress the urge to ask why he has to be escorted by her for a re-evaluation but then he remembered the system. He thought that, they might have knew something about what he received.

"Umm... Ms. Cristina, I'm grateful that you're making the effort of escorting me but you don't really have to do this. You could've just told me where the evaluation room is"

He whispered, his head tilted near Cristina's ear.

"I'm doing this because it's my job and consider this as a compensation for what I've done. I'll treat you to a lunch, that's the compensation"

He said nothing and headed inside the evaluation room. She told Leo to wait for her.

A device where one hunter has to insert both his hands, the device will measure one's capabilities, starting rank and magical power.

Cristina went back, she had brought someone with her, it was the chairman.

"Hunter Leo, I'd like you to meet Chairman Daniel Reyes"

He couldn't believe his eyes, there, standing before him was the respected Chairman of the Hunter's Agency.

Daniel extended his hands, Leo reached it and shook his hands.

"It's a pleasure to meet you sir"

"You too, hunter Leo, shall we?"

They move along, Leo placed his hands inside the machine, once he put it inside, the machine started to work. Measuring his magical power, Daniel was the one looking for the results, [Processing... Analyzing... 79%] The four of them silently waiting for the results. Eventually, the results reached 100% completed, Daniel quickly looked at it,

"What's going on?"

His face expressed it all, the shocked, not believing face of him as he looked at the results again. The results were transmitted into the computer connected to the device.

"Hunter Leo, it seems like nothing had change"

The other stuff present at the room had printed the results of the re-evaluation. He showed them to Leo.

"Rank-E, Magical power : 131, skills : none, class : none, level : 0"

Leo couldn't agree more because he knew that some had definitely changed.

"May I ask now what's the point of this re-evaluation sir?"

Chairman Daniel stood up from his seat and approached Leo, patting Leo's shoulder.

"That incident that had happened to you was rare, so e suspected that you might've gone through another awakening but it seems we're wrong"

Daniel called out for his secretary, she headed and asked what is it.

"Secretary Cristina, Have someone drive hunter Leo home" he again patted Leo's shoulder as a sign of goodbye, then walked out of the room.

Leo's stomach growls in hunger, Cristina heard it, Leo rubbed the back of his head.

"Let's have dinner before I sent you home but first, let's do something about your clothes"

Cristina had someone get clothes for Leo. After changing his clothes, they headed to a nearby restaurant. They sat down, a waiter approached them and gave the menu. Whilst looking at the menu, Cristina ask the thing she wanted to ask from the very beginning.

"So would you care to explain to me why you're all beat up?"

She raised her tone to sound strict.

"It's... a long story "

he didn't even glanced at her but continued to look at the menu.

Eventually, they called out for the waiter and told him their orders. The waiter listed their orders on a small paper and then went back.

They didn't wait long for their orders to be served. They started eating, Leo felt awkward and asked her something to break the awkward atmosphere.

"How long have you been working as the secretary of Chairman?"

He asked, chewing his food.

"Two years and a half"

She drank her red wine, poured in a glass wine. After that the conversation wasn't followed by another and eventually they finished eating.

Cristina called one of their driver and had him drive Leo home though it's pretty far away. They both bid goodbyes to each other, but before going Cristina asked for Leo's number in case she has to call him, business matters.
