16 Save Me

The room buzzed with excitement as soon as Jin Ae announced the new clients. She began giving assignments to each department. The journalists/reporters were assigned the task of creating entertaining articles, questions and profile information for readers. The goal being to be unique, and thinking outside the box. K Star was popular amoung readers teens to early 30's. They worked with various celebrities that were "A" listers, and promoting new projects. They were becoming popular for their sponsors, celebrities, and creativity within the articles and photographs.

PR would work with BTS' manager and staff to guarantee that they were on the same page as far as their image and label went. They would work with the publishing team to double check that proper editings were made, and that BigHit was satisfied with the special issue for the upcoming month. Jin Ae explained that BTS were returning from a month of vacation, and were expected to make a comeback which all entertainment resources were dying to be a part of. With K Star's current buzz with young readers, BigHit agreed to collaborate with them with the understanding that not only would they have final approval, but BTS would be given creativity rights.

Seo-yeon and Ae Cha would be given assistants for their portion as they would need to work multiple days, and at various hours. BTS were still expected to complete other projects and attend other functions, therefore, would be in and out of the building. Seo-yeon would be given the project to recreate different periods of their career, and childhood as a celebration of years active. The theme was endless friendship and growth, and this was expected to be shown through the pictures. Ae Cha would handle the profile picture, and group images for the cover of the magazine and advertisement.

"They are currently conducting business pertaining to the album release, so we should be expecting them Saturday at six P.M. This will be a quick greeting of welcome to all staff. After this, only those with the given tasks will stay to explain to the members the set schedule and what to expect. Any questions?"

Seo-yeon shyly raised her hand, "Seeing how it's Thursday, and I have the task of recreating a time line of events, could it be possible to contact them? I would like to use tomorrow to view some pictures from their childhood, debut and most popular pictures. I'm not familiar with their work..."

Everyone was shocked to hear that she was not aware of the pride of South Korea. She heard their name before, but was not a fan of boy groups. She didn't make it a priorty to ever research them as she never expected to join an entertainment company. She regretted asking. The dumbfounded faces reminded her that she came from a small town, and how "out" of the social life she was.

"I will text you Manager Sejin's phone number and email. I suggest you email him. He's usually watching over the boys, and answers to emails much faster."

No one else had questions, and were dismissed. Seo-yeon avoided eye contact with everyone, and made an attempt to sneak back to her office/studio. Ae-cha made this impossible. She stopped her as she was about to enter the office.

"Have you been living under a rock? How have you not heard of BTS?" She scoffed.

"I never said I've never heard of them. I said I wasn't familiar with their work."

"They're only like the biggest boy band in Korea! They're universal!"

Eun-ha intervened before Seo-yeon could defend herself, "Lay off her. Just because I know who Taylor Swift is doesn't mean I can name any of her albums. Not to mention, I've put make up on a bunch of authors, but have never read one of their books."

Ae-cha pouted in annoyance, "Whatever. I won't be able to hold your hand on this project, so step it up." With that catty comment, she walked away.

"Thanks, Eun-ha." They walked into her office, away from other staff.

"Don't thank me. It's ridiculous to expect everyone to be a fan of K-Pop. Plus, you even told them your first week that you didn't listen to boy or girl bands."

"I've heard one or two of their songs at resturants. If I had predicted I'd be here, I would have brushed up on what the 'kids' are listening to nowadays."

"How old are you?" Eun-ha laughed, "You're talking like an old lady."

"I feel like it."

"Hey, I know you're gonna message their manager, but I can help you real quick." Eun-ha grabbed Seo-yeon's laptop from her desk. Both huddled on a nearby couch. Seo-yeon watched as she typed in her youtube account information. "I admit I subscribed to their youtube page. I can also show you some pictures I have on instagram. I know what you're going to do will be different, but this can at least give you some exposure."

At first she was drawn to the three men singing. They had unique style, and beautiful voices. Her heart skipped a beat as soon as the next member appeared. Seo-yeon wasn't listening to what Eun-ha was saying anymore. She froze in her seat. The beating of her heart increased, and her palms began to sweat. All she could hear were the lyrics to "Save me." His hair was blonde underneath that black cap in the video, and the lighting and make up slightly changed his appearance, but she would never forget his face.

"Eun-ha?"

"Yeah?"

"Um, what's the name of the blonde one with the black hat?"

Seo-yeon knew the answer, but needed to hear it.

"Oh! That's Kim Seok-jin. Everyone just calls him Jin though." Although she knew it was him, hearing it confirmed still shook her to her core.
