16 C16: Everyone Knows Now

"Hello, Hello, this is Mrs Mc Kenzi, my son is in 11B, please could you check if he is in class right now."

It was now one pm in the afternoon, Mrs Mc Kenzi, Reigns mother found the letter on his bed while doing the laundry.

She went into his room to see if there was anything that needed to be washed and the white envelope on the bed caught her attention. Setting down the basket filled with clothes in her hands she lifted up the envelope that had the words, "I'm sorry," on it.

She opened the envelope and took out its contents. Three minutes passed by and Mrs Mc Kenzi fell to the ground.

Her husband who was eating his lunch downstairs heard a loud thump. He ran to check upstairs and hurried to his wife's side, lifting her up, she handed him the letter while she ran to the phone and called the school.

The secretary who answered could hear the panic in Mrs Mc Kenzi's voice and quickly dialed class 11B's intercom.

The teacher in charge was the homeroom teacher, "Hello?"

"Afternoon miss Barns, is Reign Mc Kenzi here today?"

Looking over her class which she was discussing literature with.

Theo answered saying "No," she then looked at the register and answered, "His friend says he isn't at school today and I don't have him down for attendance."

Forgetting to turn off the intercom, the secretary spoke into the phone, "Hello, Mrs Mc Kenzi, are you still there?"

"Yes, yes."

"Your son isn't at school."

Mrs Mc Kenzi started panicking, she yelled to her husband, "Michael call the police."

Secretary, "T-the police...Mrs Mc Kenzi is something wrong?"

Mrs Mc Kenzi dropped the landline. As it hung swinging, the secretary could hear Mr Mc Kenzi speaking to the police.

"Hello, I'd like to report a missing person report, yes my son is missing."

The secretary who was listening in on the call put the phone down. The teacher who she was speaking to before the phone call asked her, "Linda, what's wrong?"

She answered with panic, "Reign Mc Kenzi has gone missing."

"The one who is first in Chemistry?"

"Yes him, " she left her desk and went to tell the principal of the school… Hearing this he got on the phone and called the Mc Kenzi's which whom confirmed this statement.

The police said that a missing person report can only be filled after twenty-four hours and it has only been seven hours.

Miss Barns and her current class was completely silent. Theodore May who is friends with Reign and loved him secretly had a frown on his face.

This morning when Laura and Tai arrived they told him what happened while they passed him on the bus.

At first, they didn't think much of it and waited for him to ask him about it but he never showed up to school… The three of them tried phoning him and sent messages but Reign never answered the calls or returned a message, finally planning on paying him a visit after school.

But who would have known that this friend of theirs which had no care for many things in this world would go missing?

When the bell rang for the next class Theo was the first to leave. He waited in front of the lockers for Laura and Tai Hong.

Seeing a panicked Theo who was pacing up and down the two girls raised their eyebrows.

Stopping in front of him they didn't have a chance to speak when Theo started regurgitating what happened.

The three of them attended the last class then rushed to the Mc Kenzi residence.

Two police cars were outside. Knocking on the door. Stellar opened it soon but her face fell when she saw them, letting the three in she closed the door behind them while wiping away her tears.

Stellar's eyes were red from crying. Leading the three of them into the lounge where everyone was.

Walking in, they saw the red eyes of the Mc Kenzi siblings and Mrs Mc Kenzi. After greeting them, Theo asked if it was true that Reign was missing.

Mr Mc Kenzi nodded his head. Soon they were questioned by the police officers. They explained to the three that this was a runaway case instead of a missing person case because there was a letter left behind by Reign.
