Chapter 2

Skylar watched as the gang members pulled out several sacks of money and began loading a large truck. After awhile however, the gang leader faced her and without warning picked her up bridal style and began to carry her to the truck.

"Your coming with us puppy" he spoke as he placed her into the large boot surrounding her in sacks of money. Fear threatened to take over as her eyes darted around hoping to find away out, there wasnt. She was trapped.

Once the last of the money was loaded up, the gang leader hopped into the boot where Skylar was.

"let's go before the cops notice"

The engine started and they began to move. The gang leader looked at her before speaking "you got a name pup?"

She quickly nodded and broke her silence "I-it's s-skylar s-sir....."

"Now then theres no need to call me sir and like I said before I'm not gunna hurt ya, so relax"

As they drove, the truck moved onto a rural road filled with pot holes and lined with nothing but forest on both sides. As the truck moved, it drove over several pot holes causing Skylar to bump around alot and hit her head. She rubbed her head and moved slightly away from the side of the boot. However, as she moved a sack of money fell on to her wounded leg making her wince in pain.

Fresh tears trailed down her face as her leg began to throb in pain "ow ow ow...." she whispered quietly to herself as she tried to move the sack off of her leg. The gang leader came closer to her and removed the bag.

"Try to be more careful next time pup." he spoke in a gruff but gentle manner.

She nodded slightly then spoke nervously "T-thank you, u-umm why did you t-take me with you?"

He looked at her then removed his mask and her eyes widened, he had shaggy black hair, warm brown eyes and it looked like his face was carved by angels. "You really wanna know why I took you??"

She quickly nodded.

"Well that's easily answered I took a liking to you, dispite the tremendous pain you were in, you didn't make a single sound which was surprising. That and you remind me of someone I met once when I was younger."

Skylar frowned slightly as he smirked

"Did that answer your question puppy?"

She nodded slightly "y-yes thank you....ummm"

"Oh where are my manners my name is Karma, I'll introduce you to the others once we arrive."

"O-ok"

The rest of the journey was traveled in silence as fear stopped her from asking anymore questions, her main question was answered and that was enough for now. They soon arrived at their destination, a large mansion in the middle of nowhere with a large fence surrounding the whole property. Once the truck came to a stop, Karma opened the boot and helped Skylar out of the truck, holding her bridal style, he carried her into the mansion.

He then carried her to the living area and placed her down onto the sofa.

"Wait here while I help the others"

When they finished unloading the truck, Karma and his gang entered the living room, sitting down around Skylar.

"Let's begin the introduction of everyone, shall we?"

Silence filled the room as everyone stared at her and Karma. Skylar balled her hands into tight fists to stop from trembling.

"Right then everyone this is Skylar, she'll be staying here from now on."

Everyone focused on her, making her sit up straight like a pole was shoved into the back of her shirt refusing to let her slouch.

"Skylar these are the members of my gang; Haru, Kovu, Jake, Sophia and Lora."

Everyone waved and nodded in greeting, Skylar returned the nod still unable to speak.
