“It seems that Cam’s cover worked very well,” Maggie said. She too was on the conference call. “This is another answer falling into your lap.”

“This Ruth Tarlow…she was one of the ones caught in the sting, wasn’t she?” Deems asked, to be sure.

“She was the head of the family that ran the laundry. Blake Alexander seems to be a good friend of hers.”

Cam had reported on her first meeting with Blake.

“Should I do it?” Cam asked.

“I don’t see why not,” Richard said. “We may find out some of the routes through there. But it will be dangerous.”

“How do you feel about it?” Maggie asked.

“Well, it’s interesting. I’d like to try it for a while and see where it goes. I could wear that underwire transmitter in my bra so you can track me. That way if I get in trouble you can find my body.”

She glanced across the room to Maggie whose eyes were wide with horror.

“Cameron Anne Andrews!” she gasped. “Don’t even joke about that.” A look of concern and distress swept her face.
