1 Prologue

"...Your meeting with the PR Head for the new product launch will be at 10, and a meeting with the new investors for Project N will be after lunch."

Ye Xiu hummed beneath his breath, continuing to read through the paperwork on his desk as he listened passively to his secretary. He heard a few taps of a stylus on a screen as his secretary consulted her tablet and listed his schedule for the day. He only lifted his head when a thick envelope was placed on his desk.

He raised an eyebrow and asked, "What's this?"

"It was sent by a messenger from the Glory Professional Alliance, Mr. Ye," his secretary replied.

'Oh?' Ye Xiu's interest was piqued. "Is that all?" he said aloud.

"Yes."

"Thank you, Mingyan. You may go." Ye Xiu waved his hand. When his secretary closed the door behind her, he snatched up the envelope and opened it.

A compact, palm-sized disc slid out of the envelope and onto his desk. Ye Xiu slid out the small, black glossy card that was left inside, and read the gold embossed message on it.

[To Ye Xiu:

We are cordially inviting you as our most honorable guest to the All Stars Event in Beijing, on the Xth of January, 20XX. Your attendance will be greatly anticipated as we celebrate the Glory Professional Alliance's 20th anniversary with the reunion of our greatest stars.

Please RSVP by Xth of December. We eagerly await your reply, Ye-shen.

Reading the contents, Ye Xiu's brows rose once more. Next, he picked up the grey disc. As his thumb landed on the center of the smooth disc, the device vibrated, startling Ye Xiu into letting go of the device. It fell and clattered onto his desk, spinning. As it settled flat on the desk, a light suddenly projected on top of it, something forming, pixel by pixel, before finally condensing into a high definition holographic image.

The figured that formed smiled.

"Hello, Ye Xiu."
