6 5. Loathes us...

2nd person POV

It is morning at Hogwarts and Luckily you got Hermione as your roommate alone with two other girls named Lavender Brown and Parvati Patil. It was your first day at Hogwarts and starting your first classes and you were excited for the day that you woke up before everyone. You woke up at 4:30 in the morning and you couldn't go back to sleep so you decided to wash your face, brush your teeth and put on your gryffindor robe and read a text book for the time being. When you got up to put your PJs back in your trunk, you noticed something in there, a box. It was the gift your Godfather asked you to open at your first day at Hogwarts so you picked it up along with your potions book and got up to your bed. As you tore the gift wrapper, there was an emerald rectangular box appeared. As you examine the box further, there was a snake imprinted on it with the word, S. Heiress. Inside the box, a beautiful blood, red necklace glowing brightly like it's been longing for you to open the box and when you did, the glow faded. For a minute you thought you'd wake up your roommates but fortunately you didn't.

There was a piece of paper with the necklace saying,

My mother gave it to me when I was 11. Now I am passing it to you, my love. I hope it will help you find your way back to yourself as it did with me.

It was was from you mother, she left it for you. You smiled, holding back your tears. So you wore the red necklace and it looked amazing on you. You put the letter back in the emerald box and put it in your trunk then you start studying potions book playing with your necklace and getting lost in it's simple beauty time and again.

Your POV

"Good morning, Y/n" , Hermione wished me while she made her bed. WOW.... I didn't even realize that it was already 6:45 a.m, " I wished you earlier, you didn't hear me. When did you actually wake up?", She questioned me. Probably because i am already in my robes.

"Oh.. I woke up at 4 something and couldn't go back to sleep again so I decided to get ready for the day but there were still sometime so I decided to read something", I stated smiling at her.

"At 4?!", She said, amazed.

"Yup"

"And is that potions book i see? Wow Y/n, you were preparing for classes beforehand, weren't you?"

"There weren't any other book I could read so I picked one of my text book. Believe me Hermione, my attention was somewhere else. I don't even remember half of what I've just read!", I laughed a little and Hermione did as well. It is true that my attention was somewhere else.

"Wow!! Beautiful Necklace, Y/n", Hermione said noticing my necklace.

"Thanks!!! It was from my mother.", I smiled at her.

°°°°°Time Skipped to match box°°°°°°

We are right now in Transfiguration class

and I am sitting beside Hermione. I wonder where Ron and Harry are? I kept thinking about them while I write my notes, why because they are late on their first class.

Then Harry and Ron rush in; and Hermione rolled her eyes, can see that she is annoyed.

"Whew, we made it. Can you imagine the look on McGonagall's face if we were late?",Ron said in relieve. Oh God!! Really Ron?!

Then Professor McGonagall (as cat) jumps off the desk and transforms, "That was bloody brilliant",says Ron, amazed.

"Thank you for that assessment, Mr. Weasley. Perhaps if I were to transfigure Mr. Potter and yourself into a pocketwatch, that way one of you might be on time", Professor McGonagall said in a serious ton.

"We got lost", Harry said.

"Then perhaps a map? I trust you don't need one to find your seats"

Then they hurried over and sat down behind us. The rest of the period went by writing notes and transfiguring matchstick into needles.

Then it was time for potions. Everybody hates potions professor, Snape, especially the Gryffindors and he too loathe Gryffindors, at least that's what the twins and Percy told me. In this class I sat beside Harry and beside him Hermione sat. He was noting down whatever Snape said and was even read it word by word. It was kinda cute though. Eventually Snape saw him and asked him some questions.

"Tell me, what would I get if I added powdered root of asphodel to an infusion of wormwood?"... Hermione shots her hand up and duh.. Snape ignores her.

Harry shrugs. "You don't know? Well, let's try again. Where, Mr. Potter, would you look if I asked you to find me a bezoar?", Snape asks and again Hermione raises her hand. I too knew the answers but didn't raise my hand like her, cause 1. He didn't ask us, Snape asked only Harry. And 2. Why would I brag about knowing the answers when Snape's trying to sabotage my friend.

"I don't know, sir", Harry said.

"And what is the difference between monkshood and wolfbane?". Snape really hates Harry.

"Clearly, Hermione knows. Since it's a pity not to ask her," everyone laughs and Hermione looked a bit surprised.

"Silence. And put your hand down, you silly girl.", Snape said looking at Hermione who had her hand up. Obviously she expected that he'll ask her but she didn't deserve this. I can see her cheeks go pink. Then Snape started giving Harry a bunch of answers to his own questions and at the end he told us to write it all down. God we lost five points 'for your classmate's cheek'.

God he definitely hates Harry among all Gryffindors.

It's around mid-day and we are all in the great hall, doing our assignments. Hermione and I sat together opposite to Harry and Ron.

Hermione asked me why I didn't raise my hand when Snape asked questions earlier to which I lied that I didn't know but she knows that I did.

"Eye of rabbit, harp string hum. Turn this water, into rum", Seamus said.

"What's Seamus trying to do to that glass of water?", Harry asked Ron.

"Yeah what's he doing? Trying to turn the water into rum?!", I joked hearing the lines he's saying.

"Yeah", Ron said, wow I was right! "Actually managed a weak tea yesterday, before-", Ron was cut off by a blast. Suddenly, a flock of owls start coming into the hall with our mails. Mine was attached with Ron's. I opened my letter, (god!! I know lots of letter right? Sorry....I promise there are less letters after this one)

Dear Y/n,

Congratulations on getting into Gryffindor. We are so proud of you even your Godfather is proud of you and yes he is with us right now at the Burrow and decided to stay a little while. I hope you have a good time at Hogwarts and do well in your classes. If you need anything, just owl us.

I huffed in annoyance letting my letter down because of my Godfather. Of course this is the time he decided to show up at the Burrow when I am away. Ugh..

"Hey, Ron, somebody broke into Gringotts, listen", Harry said reading the article that mum has sent to Ron probably, "Believed to be the work of dark witches or wizards unknown, Gringotts goblins, while acknowledging the breach, insist that nothing was taken. The vault in question, number 713, had in fact been emptied earlier that same day. That's odd. That's the vault Hagrid and I went to." Hmmm... Strange...
