2 Chapter 2

It's been weeks since I've been sent out to reap a soul, I'd usually just walk around in the human realm, but I've grown far too skeptical.

I sat on the roof of a house, peacefully watching as the sun set. Suddenly, I heard slight vibrating coming from my wristwatch. I pressed the screen, revealing a 3d screen with words saying I was needed.

About time, I stood up and let the black fog surround me as usual. I was brought back to Diana's realm. Looking around, I found her with a few other god's discussing. I observed how she had a worried look on her face as she talked the the others, they all seemed to be focused till someone called out my name, catching their attention.

I look at Diana, the one first one to notice me, and approach her.

"Whose soul do you want me to take my grace?" I ask with a neutral expression on my face.

"You won't be guiding a soul this time" I raised a brow when she said that "This time, I'll be sending you out to do a different task" "And that is?"

She took in a deep breath before answering "You'll be temporarily sent out to the Mortal world as a human," My eyes widen, this must be something urgent "You see, an artifact was stolen a few days ago, the only thing I know about the thief is that they are currently hiding amongst mortals. I need you to look for them and bring back my artifact."

"Could my grace please be more specific about the stolen artifact?"

"Well," Diana reached for my wristwatch and tapped it, revealing a 3d model of a stick of some sort "This is the Scepter of Helios, it belonged to a former god, before uh, something bad happened.."

I nod, examining the artifact a bit more, this might be interesting "So, when will I start my grace?" "It's better if we do it early, so the I, with the opinions of other gods and goddesses, have decided that you'll be starting tomorrow."

Tomorrow already huh?

"You may go now"

I nod at the permission given to me and leave,

coming back to the human realm, but the setting sun was replaced with the twinkling stars and bright moon.

I sighed deeply as I gaze at the stars

Time really does fly huh?
