11 To Commemorate The First Official Date

The moment Zhen Wei stepped inside the car, the man followed behind, swiftly entering the driver's seat. Zhen Wei was curious as to what awaits her at the La Premiere. The least thing she could do right now is to know who is the man escorting her right now. It wouldn't be bad to know his name, she thought, because she had seen him before already.

"What's your name?" She asked. The man was quite taken aback. He didn't expect for his young madam to ask for his name.

"I go by the name S1 in A1, young madam." Inside the premises of A1, the securities are ranked into different classes. Class R, Class S and Class C. In Class R there were only a few of them but they were the extremely dangerous ones. You cannot see them lurking around the agency because they were not required to be present all the time, only at really important and desperate occasions will the agency be graced with their presence. Their work requires high-level security and are trained to be great assassins in order to protect well their clients. The Class S comes in second, although their skills only slightly differ from the Class R. Class C comes in third and are composed of junior trainees. In this class, they are still not required to be deployed and are still training vigorously to be promoted to the higher ranks. One way to distinguish their ranks is the colors of the three stars that surround the crest embroidered on their suit. Red for Class R, forest green for Class S, and yellow for Class C.

"Is that really your name?" She asked rather confused at his answer.

"No."

"Then what is it?"

"Its Chen Long, young madam." Zhen Wei nodded and took note of his name. Zhen Wei thought Chen Long was around his early 20's basing on his looks and demeanor.

"Don't call me that." Zhen Wei pried.

"I can't, you are boss' wife. That makes you our young madam." Chen Long answered. He wouldn't dare to address the woman sitting at the backseat directly with her name. If he wanted to advance in Class R, he wouldn't want to get on the boss' bad side.

Zhen Wei sighed at his answer. She knows she can't argue herself out with Chen Long. His voice was void of emotion but it was firm. She didn't try to pry further. Instead, she busied herself in observing the surroundings outside the car. A few minutes later, Chen Long pulled over at a mall's parking lot. He stepped out and opened the door for Zhen Wei.

"Young madam, boss has prepared a dress for you. You can use the mall staff's locker room to change into these. I have already contacted them beforehand. Please follow miss Liang, she will escort you." Chen Long opened the car's passenger seat door and picked up a paper bag then he gave it to Zhen Wei. Zhen Wei glanced at the woman standing in front of her. The employee gave her a smile and bowed slightly.

"Please follow me, madam."

The employee escorted her towards the locker room and waited for her outside to finish changing into a new set of clothes. Zhen Wei opened the bag, caught the dress inside and lifted it with both hands. It was a white off-shoulder dress with a minimalist design. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of the dress but doubted if it would suit her. Her eyes even widened at the sight of the brand, 'Sovereign'. Sovereign was a well-known brand all throughout the country, it was an international brand and had only opened its first branch in Beijing. Their clothes speak fortune, for her current work right now she had to work and receive twice her paycheck if she wanted to purchase their readymade clothes.

After gathering up her courage, she finally changed her outfit into the new one. The dress perfectly hugged her body, it showed off her curves. The skirt rested just above her thighs. She looked at herself in front of the mirror and couldn't believe her eyes, it actually suited her! The dress gave her a sophisticated look. Zhen Wei picked up the pair of white stilettos inside the bag and wore it. Even the shoes were a perfect fit for her. She wore the remaining earrings and bracelets that accompanied the dress and removed her hair tie. She gently brushed her hair with her fingers and tucked the sides of her hair behind her ear, she then let it flow right behind her back.

Zhen Wei went back to the car and Chen Long drove her to La Premiere. She was then escorted by him to the top floor. As they entered the restaurant, she couldn't help but observe her surroundings. Everyone displayed a sense of class and nobility. She was in awe the whole time but she didn't make herself obvious.

They took the lift and Chen Long guided her to the La Veranda located at the rooftop of the restaurant. The restaurant was a two-story building but the rooftop held the most exquisite look among any of the floors.

Her breath hitched as she looks in awe. She didn't expect that the rooftop would be much better than what she had already seen earlier. There were lampposts that lit the whole place along with golden lights that vined the railings. The wall was covered with vines that had flowers in full bloom. There was a bar counter at one corner and a couple of chairs and tables scattered all over the place. The scene was simply breathtaking.

Zhen Wei's eyes rested upon seeing Li Shen approaching her. He then dismissed Chen Long and guided Zhen Wei towards their table. He pulled her a seat and followed swiftly after her. He then gave her a smile.

"You look beautiful."

Zhen Wei blushed hearing his compliment. She wasn't used to hearing such words. Even before, Gu Chenbai barely complimented her during their relationship.

"Do you like it?"

She nodded shyly. Although she didn't want to admit it, everything was too much for her to take in. It felt perfect. So she presumed that it wasn't nice not to admit what she thought about the whole place.

Li Shen signaled the waiter to serve their food. Everything was placed on top of their table and it made Zhen Wei's mouth salivate at the sight of it. Even the dishes were beautiful! Li Shen urged Zhen Wei to taste the dishes and she gladly helped herself, completely forgetting the fact that she acted shyly earlier. They ate together in silence as he savored the moment to throw glances at her while she's enjoying her food. Li Shen was first to finish. He briskly fished a box inside his coat and placed it on top of the table, gently pushing it towards Zhen Wei.

"For you. Open it."

Zhen Wei wiped the sides of her mouth with a napkin and reached out her hands on a white box that had 'Venice' written on it. A necklace that had two small rings merged together embellished with diamonds greeted Zhen Wei's line of sight. She held the box closer and ran her fingertips on the pendant. It was simple yet beautiful.

Li Shen stood up and walked to her side. "Can I?" He offered. Zhen Wei handed him the box. He stood behind her as Zhen Wei gathered her hair with her hand. He leaned closer to her as his fingertips graced her delicate skin making her heartbeat quicken as her cheeks flushed at his gesture. He went back to his seat and looked at her with a smile on his lips.

"I know it would suit you." The necklace itself was picked by him personally before dropping off at La Premiere.

"Why give me this necklace?" Zhen Wei asked as she subconsciously touched the necklace on her neck.

She knew how expensive it was. Venice was one of the pioneering jewelry brands internationally. She casually looks at magazines and Venice holds the jewelry section most of the time.

"To commemorate our first official date." Zhen Wei almost choked on her saliva. She quickly drank the wine in her glass in one go as her cheeks turned red.

She couldn't help but think that the guy before her is becoming a lot shameless every time they meet.
