1 In a Peaceful Night

Dawn's POV.

The moon was shining brightly along with the stars in the night sky. It's 8pm and the evening is so damn peaceful just like my sleep until it was cut off by some maniac

"Hey little sweetie, time to get up now" she said in a flirty way. Just by the sound of her voice, I know already who she is

"Just five more minutes okay, I'm trying to sleep" I said half awake

"Awww" I groaned knowing that I was just hit with a pillow by this freaking bitch

"Don't you five more minutes me, you freaking idiot" she said in a pissed off tone

"Funny that a word freaking idiot comes from a girl who has her bible study every Saturday" I said with sarcasm in my tone

"We- well, you made me said that" she stuttered

"Na uh, it's not me who made you said that. It's Satan Who made you said that" I said with a firm tone

"Can you just shut up and and dress up already!? We're already late and I'm so pissed off because of you!"

"Hello, we are the only one who wants to go hang out in this peaceful night so practically speaking no one's late"

"Who even wants to hang out in the middle of the night" I added and made my room to the bathroom.

Right after washing my face, I immediately wore a white t shirt and black trousers matching it with black vans. I put a jacket on to make sure that I don't get hit by the cold wind outside. God knows how much I'm sensitive to such cold. After I finished fixing myself up, a pissed off woman in my room then grab my hands and drag me outside of the house trying to look for a cab.

"Geez, calm down girl" I said as we hop in the car

Meet my best friend Awi, we were together ever since we are in our mother's womb so basically I know what makes her pissed off other than me not waking up or getting up late. And speaking of which, this is exactly what I'm talking about.

"And again, its close ugh!! I told you we were gonna be late!" she said trying to start an argument

"Well you didn't really said that were gonna end up drinking" I explained in a calm manner

"Seriously? Do you even know why until now you don't have a boyfriend?"

"Well, what does drinking in a bar have to do with me not having a boyfriend?"

"Exactly! You don't have a boyfriend because you're so slow. Girl I ask you to come hang out with me during night basically because I want to have a drink with you and not just hang out in a mall and play some stupid arcade games. Ugh! Do I even have to explain everything to you" she groaned and tried to compose herself

"Take it easy young woman. Why do these bars are close anyway? Bars are supposed to be wide awake at nights"

"Maybe because of the fact that we are in such a small town and bars are told to close before it even strike 12" she said and throw her hands up in the air

"Stop being so mad! Why do you even have to drink in such a peaceful night?"

"Well maybe because my heart was broken by a man whom I thought is my knight" she said and started to cry

"Oh man this is not good" I murmured to myself but she heard it

"Yeah! It really is no good to be ghosted by someone whom you thought is very lovable and being stuck in a town with no alcohol. And I bet my make up is like a shit right now" she said wiping her tears

"Alright, alright! let me make it up to you. There's this bar across town that my classmate Alex introduce to me before. They don't close up until 2 in the morning so we can probably go hang out in there. But I'm telling you right now, you should not panic" I said making sure that I look straight into her eyes

Just a minute later, we finally arrived in a place where there is such an aesthetic vibe. The neon and purple color inside are visible outside even the music is audible enough for anyone who pass by the said bar trying to capture the attention of another customers. Lot of young girls are coming in and out of the place. Awi's breath became heavy, her hands are starting to shake, she can feel her heart pounding like it's going crazy

"Hey, hey relax. Count one to five and focus on your breathing. Awi Anderburg you should not panic. Just remember, you are here to drink, to forget and have fun" I said trying to calm all of her nerves

"Fun!? Fun!? Are you kidding me!!?? This is a gay bar!!?? It's full of lesbians. How can I have fun!?" she said with panic in her voice

"So what about the lesbians? You want to drink in a bar and this gay bar here happens to be the only bar that is wide awake right now. Come on let's have some fun" I said convincing her to come with me

"Dawn, I love you. But you know very well how much I hate lesbians" she said trying to calm all of her nervous cells

"Come on. The gays out there are not gonna eat you up okay. It's time to face your fears Awi, I know you're ready and I know you can do it. You can never forget the past if you don't face it. Plus, we will just be here to drink, we won't try to hit at someone" I added

"But I wanna look for my another knight tonight" she said in a disappointed tone

"Drinks for now, Knight for tomorrow okay?" I said and lead my way to the entrance of the bar.

"Come on" I added looking back at Awi who's still standing in front of the bar

"This better be a good night Dawn or I'll kill you" she murmured but enough for me to hear.
