19 I Will Keep My Promise To You

Watching her dramatic expression, Tang Min felt speechless. Li Yuri then proceeded to ask curiously, "What are you doing here late at night?"

Tang Min smiled and said dryly, "I should be asking the same question to you." He glanced at the black car fading in the darkness and an indescribable emotion flashed in his eyes.

Before Li Yuri could answer, she heard Tang Min speak, "I came out to have a walk and saw Lu Jeongshan leaving just now. What was he doing at your house at this hour?" Li Yuri blinked her eyes and replied while scratching her head, "Actually… Bro Shan was having dinner with us."

Tang Min was taken aback by her reply, "What? He had dinner with you? Wow, Xiao Ri, I didn't know you two were so close to have dinner together.. Moreover, his house is so faraway from this street; what was he doing here instead of heading to his home?"

When Li Yuri heard his words, she was stunned. Right, Bro Shan lived rather far from here.. What would he be doing in this street? But soon she shook her thoughts off and simply said, "Bro Shan must've had work nearby so maybe he dropped by.. Bro Min, don't think too much! After all, we used to be rather close before!"

Tang Min chuckled, "Close? He has always been avoiding us since that incident; I almost forgot how close we used to be back then.. Well, whatever; it's late, go inside.." Li Yuri nodded her head and waved her hand as she turned around, "Bye! Goodnight!"

"Goodnight." Tang Min stared at her fading silhouette and sighed. "Perhaps, it's too late.." He mumbled before taking a last glance at her before returning to his house which was just beside Li Yuri's.

- Next Day, Class 1-2

Mo Xuanji looked at Tang Min and asked curiously, "Why are you sitting with me today? Don't you usually prefer to sit with Yuri?" The latter didn't say anything and lay his head on the desk, as if he didn't hear her. Mo Xuanji was speechless. 'Did these two kids fight again?'

She rubbed her temples and was about to say something when she received a text message from Li Yuran.

[Brother Ran: Xiao Ji, where are you? I miss you~ *heart emoji*]

[Xuanji: I'm in class right now; you should also get going since class is about to start soon.]

[Brother Ran: Xiao Ji! Classes are no fun; I only want to see you for a while~ I'll wait for you outside your class.]

[Xuanji: Brother Ran, we're not dating yet. I already promised you that I'll date you once we graduate from school. My parents are very strict and I need to focus on my studies so that we can be together.. Let's just meet during lunch-break.]

[Brother Ran: Okay. Keep your promise that we'll date once we graduate. Bye~ Let's meet later then.]

Mo Xuanji sighed and put her phone away as she took out a book from her bag. 'I will keep my promise, Brother Ran.'

In the other side, Li Yuri glanced at Lu Jeongshan who was seated next to her. She was so immersed in staring at his handsome side profile that she didn't even hear the bell ringing. She found out that the more she looked at him, the more attracted she felt towards him..

The hand she was holding her head with slipped the moment Lu Jeongshan turned his gaze towards her. She immediately came out of her reverie and wiped the drool from the corner of her mouth. Sh*t, was she literally drooling over his beauty just a moment ago?!

Li Yuri quickly picked up a book from her desk and pretended to read it while sneaking glances at Lu Jeongshan whose eyes were stuck on her. She watched as he leaned towards her and her heart sped up unknowingly. She backed away instinctively while covering her face with the book.

"B-Bro Shan.. W-what are you doing?" Lu Jeongshan didn't say anything and kept moving forward. He stopped moving when he was few inches away from her face. Li Yuri blinked her eyes and her mind turned blank.

Lu Jeongshan took the book and turned it around as he calmly said while returning the book to her, "You were reading it upside down." Only when she heard his words did she realize that she had been holding the book upside down from the beginning.

Li Yuri bit her lips as she took the book from him. 'Embarrassed myself in front of my crush again; what should I do?' She smiled awkwardly, "Hehe, thank you, Bro Shan! Actually, I wanted to learn how to read a book upside down!"

Just then, the door opened and Mr. Gong entered. Li Yuri quickly stood up, "Everyone, greet the Homeroom Teacher." Everyone stood up and bowed respectfully, "Good morning, Homeroom Teacher!" Mr. Gong seemed to be in a good mood as he nodded his head.

"Good morning, everyone! Please take your seats!" After everyone took their seats, he said with a strange grin in his face, "Alright, everyone, today since I'm in a really good mood, I'm going to take a surprise test!"

Following his words, all the students groaned in unison, "Ohhh.." They simply won't let Mr. Gong to be in a good mood from now on! Mr. Gong's smile broadened as he cleared his throat, "Enough. Class President and Vice President, step out to distribute the papers."
