Li Yu Ri's heart thumped as she turned her head to look at him. Lu Jeong Shan's handsome side profile made her heart race even more. Hearing no response from Li Yu Ri, Lu Jeong Shan turned his head to look at her. Then their eyes met.

After staring for god knows how long, they both looked away. Li Yu Ri's face flushed red as she replied while stuttering, "Yes, she did but I-I threw it back at her face!" Hearing her reply, Lu Jeong Shan glanced at the girl's red face and frowned as he asked, "Are you okay? Why are you so red?"

Li Yu Ri covered her face out of embarrassment as she quickly said, "I'm okay!" "Oh" Awkward silence came over the whole park. Lu Jeong Shan stared at the night sky as he remained silent. Li Yu Ri also kept silent. They both seemed to be deep in their own thoughts.

After a long time, Lu Jeong San opened his mouth. "Yuri.." Li Yu Ri subconsciously looked at his handsome side profile and tilted her head. "Mm?" Lu Jeong San looked at her adorable little head and he involuntarily wanted to rub it but stopped his hand.

He then looked at the faraway sky for a while before indifferently saying, "It's too late; let me walk you home." Li Yu Ri pursed her lips and nodded her head, hiding the disappointment she felt when she heard his reply.

'Was it my wishful thinking? I almost thought Bro Shan was worried about me.. But I can't figure out something.. Why would he come all the way to my house just to ask me a question?' As she was thinking, they had already reached her home.

Li Yu Ri lifted her head up and looked at Lu Jeong Shan with a smile, "Thank you for walking me home, Bro Shan! If there's nothing, you.." Just as she was about to tell him to go back, a voice rang out from behind her. "Ah, is that you, Xiao Shan?"

Li Yu Ri turned around to see her mother standing there with a spatula in her hand. Lu Jeong Shan bowed slightly and greeted Ji Shi Ya with respect. "Good evening, Auntie. I called Yuri out for a small talk; hope you don't mind."

Ji Shi Ya smiled and said in an extremely happy manner, "Why would I mind? You two young children have grown up together; I won't even mind if you run away with her!"

Hearing her mother spouting nonsense in front of her Bro Shan, Li Yu Ri pulled her aside and instantly blurted out, "Mom, what are you saying?! Are you planning on selling your own daughter!" Then she turned to look at Lu Jeong Shan and explained with an awkward smile, "Bro Shan, please don't take my mom's words seriously; you know about her carefree personality.."

Lu Jeong Shan heard her words and his eyes dimmed, his initial happiness turning into ashes. He lowered his gaze and concealed his feelings; no one knew what he was thinking about.

Ji Shi Ya realized the awkward atmosphere and guiltily apologized, "I'm sorry, Xiao Shan! You know Auntie's habits; she runs her mouth off unnecessarily.." Lu Jeong Shan shook his head. "No, Auntie, I didn't take your words seriously at all.. If there's nothing, I'll get going." He then turned around and was prepared to return home.

Ji Shi Ya was already regretting her joke earlier, so when she saw him leaving just like that, she immediately suggested. "How about you have dinner with us, Xiao Shan?" Lu Jeong Shan stopped on his tracks and turned his head. He was about to reject her offer when he was interrupted by Li Yu Ri.

"Yes, Bro Shan! It's already so late; you must be hungry right now! So, you must stay with us and have dinner with us tonight!" Li Yu Ri who hadn't spoken for quite a while, suddenly exclaimed with a smile.
