5 Max

The trio looked at each other in surprise.

Koray took the initiative and stepped forward, "Hello friend, my name is Koray, to my right is Dino and to my left is Jonas. Are you from Earth my friend?"

The other person nodded and stood up, he jumped down from the boulder turning towards the trio. They were only 15 meters away from him but they could see every detail.

Max had pure golden hair and a mighty blond beard. When Max smiled, it felt like a sun greeted them. His smile was warm and amiable, his clear blue eyes were soft and welcoming.

His body seemed to glow with confidence. His body looked like that of an professional bodybuilder, one could compare him with Koray. Just that he was smaller.

Max said with a big smile, "Of course I'm from Earth, from USA, Arizona to be exact. A native human would try to kill you the moment you said a word."

Dino frowned, "Why would they try to kill us?"

Max explained, "I'm not sure, but it seems because we are different from them. We don't speak their language and they don't speak ours. That's is how they can tell if we are one of them or not."

Dinos brain was working in high pace, "And the other way?"

"The other way is by watching us fight. Our way is different from theirs. But, only the older people can tell the difference"

"How different?"

"Hmm at the First Stage we can only get stronger by consuming meat from beasts or special herbs, at the Second Stage we absorb Solar or Lunar Energy to get stronger. They absorb the Spiritual Energies of the world from birth on. They become part of it, we make it part of us."

The trio were left dazed for a while.

They felt enlightened.

Jonas asked, "How did you get on this planet?"

"Ehem, I saved a girl from being hit by a white truck but, the truck hit me instead. What about you?"

Koray answered, "We got swallowed into water inside a lake."

Max shook his head, "Just like Apo."

The trio asked at the same time, "Who is Apo?"

Max laughed, "A friend from Earth I met 4 months ago, he got swallowed into a swamp in Turkey."

Dino asked, "Four months ago? How much time did you spent here?"

Max started to ponder, touching his beard, "I think it should be one year by now and you?"

Jonas answered, "One week I think."

Max became surprised, "Only one week? How is that possible? You aren't far from reaching the Second Stage."

"That's because of a black guy saved our lives and gave each of us one pill. It really helped a lot."

"Ah that's how it is, I was starting to doubt my talent haha."

The four of them continued to chat for some time. It turned out that Max knew another person other then Apo, her name was Claudia, but Claudia and Apo liked to be alone.

Max had short pants and and a shirt made from wolf hide. He promised them to stay with them until they reached the Second Stage.

After a good hunt they could tell that Max was at least ten times better at everything than them. Max told them that he absorbs the Solar Energy every day since 6 months ago and it shouldn't take him that long to reach the third Stage.

Curious they asked him what the third Stage is like.

"I'm not sure, Apo is almost 2 years here but he is still stuck at the Second Stage for 7 months now. He found the description written on a wall inside a cave. It seems when we reach our limit at the Second Stage, we need to awaken our Powers. Everyone has an unique Power and when we manage to reach the Third Stage we unlock that Power. At least that is what was written on the wall."

Dino thought for a moment, "Could it take the form of a dark spear with lightning dancing around it?"

Jonas and Korays eyes shined when they remembered the black guy who saved them, the description matched perfectly.

"Max's blue eyes bulged, "Don't tell me the guy who saved you...."

"Yes he had a dark spear from which came purple lightning out."

Max exclaimed, "Strange, I haven't heard about someone who can do such thing. Basically we aren't compatible with the weopons from this world."

Koray was confused, "Why is that so?"

"Because we can't use them like the native people do, our powers are too different. They become useless crap of metal in our hands. I think we would need costimazed weapons."

The trio thought about it and it made sense. Their weapons were quite useless against beast.

They went back to their base and started to eat the cooked deer meat.

They chatted the whole time until night and gained a lot information.

Apo killed many native people which tried to hunt him down at the time he was here and found some maps about this place. It turned out that they were on the smallest from 5 Continents. This small Continent was on the north-west part of the planet. They couldn't understand the language so they still didn't know the name of anything from here.

The next day they headed into the forest to hunt.

"This time we will head into the inner part of the forest, there live the really strong beasts."

The trio gulped when they heard Max saying that.

Max laughed, "Haha don't worry I'm with you and you guys only need a bit until you reach the Second Stage. As long we don't run into a Spirit Beast we are save."

"Spirit Beast?"

"Yes, that's what we call beasts that have awoken their Powers."

Jonas shot an annoyed look at Max, "Bro, now I'm 100% sure we will meet a Spirit Beast, you literally jinxed us."

Max stopped his tracks and the others stopped too.

He looked at them with a serious expression before asking, "Do you guys want to stay weak or become strong?"

They looked at each other.

"Of course, we want to become strong!"

"Good, then you need to fight with your life's on stake!"

Jonas stepped forwards, "Don't worry, we are ready to kill bro!"

"Then lets hunt!"

In the vast sky over the small continent, a big island was flying through the clouds.

On the island was only a grand palace.

Inside a spacious hall a middle aged man was sitting on a impressive golden shining throne. His skin was very pale, he seemed sick with dark rings under his green eyes. His eyes matched perfectly with the majestic green robe he was wearing.

The middle aged man held a report in his hands and was frowning while reading it.

He closed his eyes and paused for some time.

The moment he opened them the space around him started to shake.

He started to speak in an unknown language, totally different from all the languages from Earth, but with every word the world around him seemed to shake even more. When he finished his chant a big fountain of blood shot out from his mouth. He turned even paler than before, a wicked smile crept on his face.

Outside the flying island many dots appeared shooting down on the continent. One of those dots hit the exact position were Jonas, Dino and Koray woke up when they arrived in this world.

The whole place blowed up and that part of land disappeared, leaving a deep dark hole behind.
