Another World

"Guys, I swear to god it was here!" Jonas sounded a bit helpless.

A few minutes ago just as Jonas was about to call his mother. He noticed the space before him twisting a little. It looked like the view in front of him was melting.

He couldn't believe it at first but the more he looked at it the more he was sure that he hadn't see wrong.

In his excitement, he had called his friends over to look at it, but by the time they finally made it over, the strange phenomenon had disappeared like it was never there.

After coming over Koray was the first to complain, "Damn Jonas, you screamed this and that on the phone but here is nothing beside the lake!"

"Bro I aint making this up, look I even made a pic of it." Jonas showed them the picture on his phone.

They looked at the picture and saw the picture distorting a lot. They didn't take it seriously.

"Dude, maybe your cam is broken, or something with the light. Or It could be anything, but not something like reality twisting." Dino clearly didn't believe Jonas at all. He was sure that Jonas was playing a prank on them. They came all the way to Barbados to relax and have a good time, not to run around chasing the supernatural.

"F*ck, I'm telling you that it was here. How about we search around. Even if we don't find anything, I will gift you all a drink tonight. I promise."

"DEAL!" At the promise of free alcohol all of them instantly agreed and began to look around.

It was Dino who found something after 2 minutes.

He stood on the shore of the lake and carefully inspected the water in front of him and just when he was about to turn away he noticed something amiss in the clear water. He bent over and looked into the crystal clear water for a closer look. He looked down at the pond with an odd ecpression which clearly expressed his disbelief of what he was seeing.

Dino started shouting, "GUYS, OVER HERE!"

It didn't even take a minute for the other two to get to Dino, who quickly directed their attention towards the lake.

The two took a few glances at the lake but didn't see anything out of place, even Jonas was confused.

"Dino that's just water, now you want to mess with us too?!" Koray was really upset now.

"Look at it again, carefully. Don't you notice anything wrong?" Asked Dino with a low voice.

The two rolled their eys at their dramatic friend's behavior, but still took a closer look at the water. They watched the water with more interest.

Jonas frowned deeply and his eyes went wide in surprise, "There is no reflection."

Koray gulped hard, now he saw it too, "Holy sh*t, this is really strange."

Dino nodded, "Yeah, this isn't normal at all, look the rest of the lake reflects the sky but this part doesn't reflect anything."

Jonas punched Korays shoulder, "I told you here is something wrong, an anomaly with reality."

A vein popped on Korays forehead, "Shut up Jonas, you read too many Novels."

The three traded similiar expressions with each other. There was no fear, only pure excitement on their faces.

Under the other two's gazes, the focused Dino carefully reached his hand closer and closer towards the water's surface.

Dino could feel his heart racing, but he still put his whole hand inside the water.

He was speechless by the lack off sensation. His face paled when he didn't felt his own hand anymore.

His hand disappeared and couldn't be seen, he didn't feel the wet sensation or anything on his skin.

At the sight of Dino's face paling and the lack of reaction they fell silent, holding they're breaths until Jonas couldn't hold it and asked, "And?"

Dino turned his head and was about to answer when he felt something pulling him hard.

Everything happened so fast that Dino's torso was already half way emerged into the lake by the time the huge Koray could react and grab his left leg. He tried to pull him back but it didn't work at all, instead he was the one being pulled in.

Then it was Jonas turn to grab Korays waist and pull, but despite all the manpower they still lost and were all sucked into the water one by one, The three of them dissapeared into the water, but the surface remained calm and not a single ripple could be seen.

The unconscious Jonas, Koray and Dino were lying on the ground.

Korays huge body twitched when he woke up. He felt like everything was spinning when he tried to stand up. It took him a few moments to recall what happened, panicking he checked his body and sighed in delight when he found nothing amiss.

Despite his confused state of mind, Koray still got upt to his feet and surveyed his surroundings. He immediately snapped out of it when he looked up at the sky, and froze in shock.

He crouched down and started to slap the sleeping duo awake.

Both of them groaned as they were slapped into consciousness.

"WAKE UP, both of you, we are f*cked up for real!" Shouted Koray in panic.

Dino and Jonas were a bit dizzy when they stood up, but similarly to Koray's reaction, both of them froze when they looked up.

Jonas put his hand in his afro and asked, "What the hell is that?"

"I don't know, but it seems we aren't on earth anymore." Answered Dino after closing his wide open mouth.

It was apparently night, but in the sky two big moons could be seen illuminating the world. One was white like the moon from earth but the other one was purple.

Koray gulped hard, "Guys we are really f*cked up, where the hell are we?"

"Bro you're asking us, but who should we ask?" Jonas felt like they were inside a fantasy world.

Dino and the others brought out their phones and tried to use them, but found out that they were all dead. They had dazed expressions on their faces.

Now they realized in what kind of situation they were in. Stranded in a different world without any knowledge about it.

What followed was a long silence.

Dino was the first to calm down and gather his thoughts anough to speak and said, "We need to find a way back home, lets start searching for the lake. I mean we came here through a lake so we should be able to go back if we find the lake."

"You are right but it's the middle of the night we can't go now, who knows what lurks in the darkness." Jonas was rarely serious.

"Are you for real? You think it's dangerous?"

Dino put his hand on his chin and nodded, "Jonas is right we don't know anything about this world, it'd be dangerous to start walking around at night, Let's camp here for the night and try in the morning. Can any of you guys start a fire?"

None of them smoked, so they didn't have a lighter with them. Still they made a showing of checking their pockets, before they looked at each other and shook their heads in disappointment.

"Wait, I know a way how to make fire, just like that guy from the movie." Exclaimed Koray in excitement.

"What movie do you mean?"

"That one in where the actor stranded alone on an island, his volleyball was his best friend, I forgot the name."

Jonas thought for a bit and recalled the movie, "You mean Cast Away with Tom Hanks?"

"Yes, exactly!" Koray smiled, but Jonas and Dino looked at him with empty eyes.

"Bro, look around do you see any trees here?" Asked Dino without any expression on his face.

Koray looked around, feeling a bit stupid as he realized that there were no trees and quickly tried to think of another option, sadly he could not. "Then lets just sit down and wait until morning I ain't tired at all."

"You are right, I'm not tired either."

"Me too."

They sat down with mixed feelings and thoughts. Dino was worrying nonstop about the future. Jonas...well Jonas was exited and couldn't wait for the next morning to come. He could almost smell awesome adventures and what kind of thoughts went through Koray's head remains an eternal mystery.
