Waking up and first Flight

As I was waking up from my unconsciousness, I started looking around to see if I can get a clue as to where I am. Shaking off the drowsiness and seeing only huge trees everywhere I look, I'm assuming that I am somewhere in the Land of Fire or at least somewhere near it.

'Hmm let's see, have trees always been this big?' I was a bit confused as everything sort of seems a lot taller now. The grass around me actually went up to my knees and the tree trunks were enormous. Alright, seems like I'm not in an adult body, however I feel like I should be about the height of an average ten year old kid.'

Since I didn't have any way to look at myself from a mirror or anything alike, I started checking myself from the bottom up. I seem to have really pale skin, a rather slim/skinny body build, but there are still the tiniest amount of muscles to be seen. My hair is long, as I can feel it reaching the lower end of my back and it also has a grey/white colour to it. I don't have anything to wear other than some dirty rags for pants and as I was feeling my head for any horns, I was relieved to find out that I didn't have any.

'Now that is truly curious.. Every true Otsutsuki I have ever seen in the Anime or Manga had horns so why don't I? Well.. whatever it actually works in my favour since anyone that has ever been in contact with them would figure out right away that I am also one.'

Coming back to reality after I was done checking myself and thinking about my peculiarities, I started pondering on my plans moving forward. I was in immediate need of a relatively safe place to find out about my powers and get accustomed to them as well as gain some initial mastery over them, which shouldn't take more than a few months considering the talent this body should posses.

'I also shouldn't go to any public place for the moment, as even though I might not look like an Otsutsuki necessarily, I am still rather unique looking and there is no way I can properly defend myself at this time.'

Musing over it for a few minutes longer, I decided that it really didn't make much of a difference whether I would be going in a random direction or just staying where I was since I couldn't see anything other than the forest either way and I didn't have a need for food right now. So as I walked up to the next tree trunk and sat down, I tired to concentrate on a feeling in my body which I haven't felt before.

Much to my surprise, only after a few seconds I was able to immediately feel my chakra. It felt like warm currents running through my body, while nourishing and strengthening it at the same time. Once I felt it, I tried moving that feeling throughout the pathways I was able to sense and with little difficulty I was able to make the chakra go for a round through my whole body. I just sat there doing this over and over again to get a better feel for this new energy. And after about 20 minutes of this relaxing feeling I felt I was accustomed enough to try to start trying out my inherent traits as a member of the Otsutsuki species.

The eye prowess is obviously the most notable trait the bloodline of the Otsutsukis had, as well as chakra absorption, but while I could feel the connection my chakra network had towards the region my eyes were in, I didn't feel that I had enough quantity and control over it to guide it there safely without falling unconscious or worse hurting myself in the process.

The next best thing every member of the Otsutsuki clan can do is the ability to fly, and while it was never explained in Naruto or Boruto how it worked, I could tell that I just had to circulate my chakra with the intent to fly. It feels like I have always been able to do just that and it comes naturally. So that's just what I did.

Slowly and wobbly, I started levitating off the ground to get a feel for it, and with but a thought I started to climb higher and higher until I was above the tree line. I took a moment to revel in the beauty of this place. Nature as far as the eye can see with no city or human in sight. Simply beautiful.

I started going left and right, up and down, to get the feel for this whole new feeling of flight and it simply felt amazing.

'While I can't remember if flying was ever a dream of mine before, it feels so liberating that I don't even want to go back down.'

Sadly, after flying around for a while I could feel my chakra starting to drain and there was no need for me to push myself to my limit just yet.

As I was back on the ground and missing the feeling of weightlessness, I noticed it slowly getting dark so I did what any sensible person would do and quickly started looking for a comfortable tree branch to rest on to figure out my plans for training for the next couple of months.

'While I would certainly like to know what time period I am in, I can't just go anywhere and hope for the best. There is a need to play it safe and learn the things I can by myself before thrusting myself into possible danger.'

And with that I started thinking of the training I needed to do before I would start looking for some humans.
