2 The fast and the furious

Bai Chen once again continued her run, now sprinting her fastest to get away from the flower cloud following her.

Bai Chen had lost her way running by now in this labyrinth of a place. She turned her head back and after assuring herself that she had lost her sparkly pusuers, Bai Chen stopped running and caught her breath. Taking a good look at this place, it was very elegant with red and white tessellated tiles, white walls and with a decorated roof.

Bai Chen had always admired the victorian look, however she didn't have a chance to savour its beauty as she was being chased by a group of beautiful hounds. Now that she had a decent look of the place she was fascinated. To her left there were many cabinets with decorative vases and to her right, expansive floor to ceiling casement windows with a terrace lining the entire outside walls of the building. Opening the glass windows, Bai Chen walked onto the terrace and ran around the perimeter, hoping to find a way to climb off the second floor without alerting her pursuers.

After running along the side barrier for about fifty metres she spotted her escape. There was a tree with a branch closely sticking out near the patio, reaching the height of the flooring beneath her feet. Bai Chen jumped onto the barrier, looking down at the tree branch. It was neither slim nor thick, around six inches in diameter (15-16cm).

Bai Chen jumped off agilely, reaching for the innermost, thickest part of the branch however not realising that she underestimated this body's abilities. As the dainty girl [Lily] grew up as, she had never done more exercise than a stroll in her life. The girl had never once gotten a callous and has rarely been scratched, the scar-less body of a young educated lady. It was not the most convenient background for Bai Chen who was stuck in this body. She fell almost directly onto the tree branch underneath her, which then obviously... snapped.

"Waaaaarghhh!" Although it was a quick fall down it felt like an eternity, her high pitch voice unfamiliar to the soul inside it.

Fortunately, she landed on something soft, saving Bai Chen from a possible broken bone.

The miserable girl faced upwards and saw a robotic smiling face looking down at her from the second level.

Oh god! They're here!

"Your cuteness knows no bounds, your beauty has no limit, you are the only woman in the world, to which I will commit. I look at you and gasp in awe, wondering how you're mine, you take my breath away my dear, for you, I'll walk the line." The man above called out melodiously. All Bai Chen could hear was blah blah blah however.

She got up, ignoring the man singing to her upstairs and patted her butt.

Then a voice came from below her. "Hmph! [Lily]! Watch where you are going. If you bump into me again, hmph, don't think I won't be angry, hmph!" The boy had dark hair and a blush on his face, the defining sparkles emanating around him as well.

Oh g*d, of course there's a tsundere.

Bai Chen had no time to deal with another one of the 'capture target's so she merely removed her 2 inch high heels and sprinted once again, this time away from the grand palace-like place behind her. She didn't bother picking up her heels, leaving them there like the true Cinderella she is, a cinderella she never wanted to be.

The scenery around her was gorgeous, lush expanses of grass, beautifully complex gardens sectioned off by flower bushes however she was in no mood to enjoy it. The road she ran on was made of coarse gravel, the gravel both cutting and bruising her feet as she ran. Her beautiful pearly skin tattered by an aghast red and purple however she kept running, hoping that everything was merely a dream. There was a wide road in front of her after the palace's gates, busy with horse drawn carriages going across it from each side. Once Bai Chen had bypassed the gates, she looked back to still see people following her.
