1 Dream Or Nightmare?

"Arthur… Its time to wake up…" A Soft voice echoed in the darkness.

'Sophia?…' Arthur struggled to open his eyes as confusion still clouded his mind.

Inside a massive palace, on the throne, sat a young man with messy black hair leaning back sleeping as a young woman with long brown hair nudged him on the side.

The young man named Arthur opened his eyes, revealing clouded baby-blue eyes as he glanced around in confusion. 'Where am I?'

"Wait!… General Esdeath! The King is resting he commanded that nobody disturb him!" While Arthur was trying to wake up and figure out what was going on, a throaty voice resound from the door followed by a silvery voice filled with killing intent. "If you get in my way again, Ill kill you!"

By the time that Arthur's eyes cleared of their fog, the throne room door opened, revealing a light blue-haired voluptuous woman wearing a light-gray military outfit showing off her perfect curves striding in as an old man with gray hair wearing golden armor followed, looking displeased.

'Ice General Esdeath & Thunder General Budo?' Arthur stared at the duo stepping into the throne room in shock, feeling even more confused as the long brown haired woman sat on the throne beside his.

'Am I dreaming again? This time its Akame Ga Kill?' Arthur's face kept changing back and forth from confusion to excitement as he thought about his situation.

"Esdeath has seen Your Majesty the King and Queen." Esdeath didn't seem to notice or care about Arthur's dilemma as she knelt down on one knee and reported. "Your Majesty, the invasion you ordered against the planet called Earth is complete and the Capitals of each Country are now under our control."

Although he was still a little confused, Arthur sat up straight and spoke as he thinks a king should, albeit a little mechanically. "Well done, General Esdeath. You've done an outstanding job."

Esdeath smiled like a flower blossoming, making Arthur a little dazzled by her beauty.

The brown-haired women who was quietly sitting on the throne glanced at the dazed Arthur and whispered, awaking him from his daze. "Your Majesty, don't you think that the young men and women in the army should get a reward for all their hard work?"

'What currency do they use again?…' Arthur thought for a second and remembered that Honest gave Esdeath gold for winning a battle, so he nodded in agreement. "Lets give an additional 10 Gold to each Soldier from the National Treasury."

"Thank you, Your Majesty, for your generous reward on behalf of my troops." Esdeath glanced at the light-brown haired woman thankfully and bowed.

'Huh…' From the corner of his eye, Arthur noticed a black shadow flash, attracting his attention. Looking over, it startled Arthur to find that someone arrived beside them without even noticing. On the right side of the throne stood a beautiful young woman with long waterfall like black hair and blood-red eyes sporting a red and black sailor suit.

"Akame has seen Your Majesty the King and Queen." The young woman noticed that Arthur was looking at her, so she strode forward and knelt alongside Esdeath. "Twenty-six of the thirty-nine underground forces on Earth have submitted to Your Majesty and are at your command."

"What about the thirteen other forces?" Arthur could guess what happened to them, but still asked.

Akame glanced up, slightly bewildered, but still answered politely. "As you commanded, we killed the leaders of the forces and all their loyal subordinates, leaving the rest alive to scatter on their own."

'Well, I guessed correctly.' Arthur smiled at his own thoughts and mentally returned to his king image. "Well done, Akame, each member of your unit are granted 10 gold for their hard work."

"Thank you, Your Majesty." Akame glanced at the old man wearing golden armor standing along the wall before winking at the brown-haired woman on the throne while thanking Arthur.

The brown-haired woman instantly understood what Akame wished and ordered General Budo. "Thank you for your hard work, General Budo, you can also collect 10 gold each for your guard squad. There is nothing wrong here, you may return to your post."

"Thank you, Your Majesty. Ill return to my post." General Budo glanced between the three girls and how they looked at Arthur. Understanding flashed in his eyes as he bowed and turned around, returning to his post outside the door.

"Sophia…." Arthur looked at the brown-haired woman named Sophia in confusion, as she stood up and held Esdeath and Akame's hands.

"Husband, your wives need attention after not meeting you for so long." Sophia smiled to Arthur as she led them towards the gate on the side. Esdeath and Akame blushed as they glanced at Arthur with soft, moist eyes like they would cry if he denied them.

'Well, what else can I do?' Arthur smiled to himself as he followed the three girls down the hall towards what he assumes would be a dream worth not waking from.

"Husband, you wait here for a second while we get ready, Ill call you in when we're ready." Sophia led them to a magnificent door made of gold and winked at Arthur before pulling Akame and Esdeath inside.

While Arthur was waiting outside the door, feeling annoyed that even in dreams women take their time, he heard a pair of footsteps down the hall causing him to look up. Stepping towards him are two pale-skinned women of similar stature. The one on left has short black hair and eyes, she wore a black and red sailor uniform similar to Akame but the only difference is that her skirt is a little longer with black stockings. The one on the right has long pink hair and eyes wearing a black vest with a red and black checkered short skirt.

When the girls got closer to the door, they noticed someone standing outside, causing Arthur and their eyes to collide. Arthur murmured in astonishment. "Chelsea… Kurome…"

"Husband!!" Chelsea and Kurome both cried in delight, throwing themselves at Arthur.

"We waited for you in the throne room after returning, but you didn't show up!" Kurome complained while hugging Arthur's left arm, increasing her strength to show her annoyance.

"So we searched the palace looking for your traces, it turns out you are here." Chelsea glanced around with a confused look flashing in her eyes. "What are you doing standing here alone?"

Feeling the softness attached to his arms, Arthur was on cloud nine as he smiled and explained what happened earlier.

Kurome and Chelsea glanced at each other with a smile and let go of Arthur's arms. "Okay Husband, then we are going inside to join them. I heard Sophia has a surprise ready for your birthday soon, this just might be it." Ignoring Arthurs aggrieved eyes, Kurome and Chelsea knocked on the door and slid inside, blocking Arthur outside.

What felt like an eternity later, Arthur got the cue to enter. Excited with what's about to happen, Arthur didn't even look where he was going as he flung open the door and stepped inside.

Wooosh—

Arthur felt a weightlessness hit him. Looking around, it horrified Arthur to find that he was midair, plummeting towards the earth at an extremely fast speed.

"FUCK!!!! I HATE THESE DREAMS!!!!" Arthur yelled at the top of his lungs as he broke a cluster of clouds.

Arthur's mind turned swiftly, looking for a solution; Then it hit him. 'That's right! It's a dream, I just need to wake myself up!' Arthur closed his eyes and counted down. '3… 2… 1…' Taking the thin skin between his thumb and index finger, he pinched it hard.

Before even opening his eyes, Arthur knew it didn't work, feeling the wind hit his skin and the howling wind blasting his ear drums.

Cluck—Cluck—Cluck—

'What's that?' Hearing a strange sound, Arthur opened his eyes slowly.

"Oh… My… God…" Arthur's eyes widened as his face paled at an extremely fast speed.

In the distance, a flock of huge chickens is circling an even larger chicken. If you try to compare a car to these chickens, then you're really underestimating them. They can probably eat the car you're using to compare with them in one bite.

Arthur pinched himself everywhere, trying to wake himself, while praying for them to not spot him. "Please don't see me… Please don't see me… Please don't se…"

"Cock-a-doodle-doo!!" The bigger one must have a better eyesight because he soon saw Arthur and produced a thundering cry.

"FUCK!!!" Arthur couldn't care anymore and made a typical skydiving posture, plunging quicker towards the ground while cursing in his heart. 'When I get out of this dream, I'm going to eat scrambled eggs for breakfast and have chicken for dinner an entire week.'

Cluck—Cluck—Cluck—

"Faster! Faster!! Faster!!!" Arthur recited to himself, hearing the chickens getting louder.

Seeing that they were getting too close to the ground, the biggest chicken made a cry, calling the little ones back.

"Phew…" Arthur sighed in relief as the sounds of chicken behind him were getting further and further away. But he didn't really relax because now he has another problem ahead of him. In the next couple of minutes, he's going to hit the ground.

Arthur looked at the vast green land below him and grimaced. But there is nothing he can do other than grit his teeth and cringe as he plunged into the ground.
