5 Why Are We Here?

Appearing in bright light in an alleyway, Ryan still had his creepy innocent smile on his face while Tyler looked very annoyed.
"Ryan, where are we, and why are we here?" An irritated Tyler asked. Ryan smiled wider and was about to answer but before he did, they heard two people walk by the alley while talking.
"Have you heard about General Esdeath holding a civilian combat tournament?" Person A said. "Yeah, apparently if you win you'll get a lot of money." Person B replied.
As the two people got further and further away, Tyler slowly turned his head and glared at Ryan. "Do not tell me where here for what I think we are," Tyler said. Ryan just nodded his head with a smile and didn't speak.
Tyler: "...MOTHERFU-"

Let's go back in time about 6 months.
Here we have Ryan and Tyler on break at work talking. Somehow their conversation shifted to their favourite anime waifu's. Tyler spoke of many different girls, Erza and Mirajane from Fairy Tail, Akeno, Sona and Rossweisse from DxD, Robin and Reiju from One Piece, Fubuki from One Punch Man and many more. Ryan on the other hand was dead set on one woman.
"My favourite anime waifu, in particular, is Ms. Esdeath From Akame ga Kill," Ryan stated with a smile. Tyler just looked at him weirdly and asked; "...Are you a masochist?"

"-CKER. Do you honestly think you can bag Esdeath? I know she's hot and all, but she is also a FUCKING SADISTIC PSYCHOPATH!" Tyler spoke heatedly. "Don't worry fam, I got this. All I need to do is turn the sadistic side of hers into a masochistic one." Ryan replied calmly.
"And how do you plan on doing that?" Tyler asked, and once again before Ryan could answer him, they were both distracted by their phones going off. *Ring* It was their mission update for this world. Looking at the message it read as: [Remove the Teigu from all unworthy hands and destroy the empire along with all of its corrupted officials.]
"*Sigh* Whatever, we're already here, so how are you going to woo Esdeath?" Tyler asked. "By entering the tournament of course, but I'm not telling you anything more. You'll just have to wait and see." Ryan answered with a grin.
"Fine, but before you enter you should probably up your cultivation a bit. Here this should help." Tyler said as he tossed Ryan a low-tier spirit stone. "How did you get a spri- oh right, Arc of Embodiment." Ryan was about to ask a very dumb question before he remembered his friend's powers.
"Thanks," Ryan said as he sat down with the stone in his hand. "No problem, just tell me when you need more and I'll make them," Tyler responded. Ryan simply nodded his head then started cultivating.
Ten minutes later the stone in his hand turned to dust and his cultivation shot up to 6-dan Acupoint Opening Pinnacle, Giving him a strength of 218 thousand kgs.
"Wow, that didn't take long, do you need more stones?" Tyler asked as he looked up from his phone. "Naw I'm good. This is more than enough strength for this world." Ryan replied. "Ight, than you head to the tourney, I'll be watching the matches from the shadows," Tyler responded as he disappeared.
"Well, I guess I'll go have some fun," Ryan stated as he started walking towards the tournament arena.

Ryan made his way to the arena and signed up for the tournament. Once he was done signing up he was led to a waiting room with many other competitors, some of which he recognized like, the samurai looking guy with a topknot, the bulky guy with a bull-like head, and of course the protagonist of this world, Tatsumi with his face hidden behind a hood.
The tournament was extremely easy for Ryan. He breezed through his opponents with ease by either making them fall out of the ring or quickly knocking them out after dodging their first strike. Ryan never unsheathed his sword nor did he need to show his full power, doing this made his matches quite boring for the audience to watch but he didn't care. He was in this tournament to win Esdeath's heart, not to slaughter the weak. Even if she might like to see that, he had other ways to attract her.
Up in her own private box, Esdeath sat lazily as she watched the matches with uninterest. "What do you think of these two, general?" Another of the Jaegers named Run asked. "*Yawn* Boring men... make for a boring match. As I thought, no Teigu wielders among them so far." She said. "Ah, it seemed this match is settled and the next match will be the last," Run said as he saw the large bull-head guy take down the topknot samurai.
There were two reasons for this tournament, one of them was for Esdeath to find a boyfriend. The other was to find someone worthy enough for them to join the Jaegers and wield a Teigu they recently obtained from a battle with Night Raid.
Ryan's next match was the finals and it was against this world's protagonist, Tatsumi. {The next match is Tatsumi the blacksmith vs. Ryan the hunter!} Wave announced, he was one of Esdeath's Jaegers and was currently the referee and announcer for the tournament.
Ryan and Tatsumi both stepped onto the stage and got ready to fight. "One of them is just a boy," Run said as he and Esdeath stared at Tatsumi and Ryan. "That's a funny alias, can he really work Iron?" Leone asked Lubbock as she took some of his popcorn. "Not as well as me but he's got some skills."
{Begin!} Wave said loudly, starting the fight, but neither of them moved. After a few seconds, seeing that Tatsumi wasn't moving, Ryan started to walk over to him but slowly he sped up into a full sprint.
Arriving in front of Tatsumi within seconds, Ryan punched down at the short teen but missed as Tatsumi jumped over the attack. Obviously, Ryan let Tatsumi dodge because he wanted to have fun during this last match.
Let it be known that Ryan does not like Tatsumi. He thinks he slightly arrogant and extremely naive, especially when he shows mercy to his enemies. That's why during this match, Ryan was going to humiliate him.
(A/N. Ryan seriously hates Tatsumi. I thought Tatsumi was average and got a bit better in the later chapters but Ryan disliked him throughout the whole series. Probably because Tatsumi chose Mine, and Ryan also hates tsundere's.)
While still in the air, Tatsumi spun his body and tried to kick Ryan in the head. Ryan dodged Tatsumi's kick while grabbing his foot and slamming Tatsumi into the ground. *Wham* "AHH!" Tatsumi yelled in pain. Tatsumi quickly got up while scowling at Ryan who just glared back at him.
Rushing a Ryan, Tatsumi tried to hit him but with every punch he threw, Ryan would simply move a few millimetres and completely dodge Tatsumi's attack then counter-attack him.
"Well, that man has talent," Run said as he focused on Ryan. Esdeath didn't answer and only concentrated on Ryan. 'Why is he doing that, why not just finish him and be done with it?' Esdeath thought. She could tell Ryan much stronger than Tatsumi by the way he moved, so why didn't he just end him and be done with it? If it were her fighting, she would have cut down her adversary by now.
On the other side up in the stands, the two members of Night Raid watched as their teammate was manhandled by a person who looked to be the same age as them. "Do you think Tatsumi will be alright?" Lubbock asked. "I hope so or I'll kill that guy!" Leone said in anger while her fingers gripped her seat, breaking it a bit.

It's now been about ten minutes since the 'fight' started and Tasumi looked like shit, bruised and battered while Ryan was completely unscathed.
Esdeath up in her private box was enjoying this 'fight'. She may not have understood why Ryan was doing this but she did like it. One of her hobbies was torturing people, so she liked seeing Tatsumi in pain.
"I think it's time to end this don't you?" Ryan said as he finally unsheathed his sword drawing awes from the audience and Tatsumi put his guard up. Suddenly Ryan's blue sword started glowing and then he disappeared and reappeared a few meters behind. With his new cultivation, his speed was far above anybody in this world.
"And with that, it's over," Ryan said as sheathed his sword. As Ryan sheathed his sword, multiple cuts appeared on Tatsumi. "AHH!" Tatsumi yelled.
"I didn't even see him move! What Teigu is that?" Run asked astonished. "I don't know but we must find out," Esdeath responded with narrowed eyes.
""TATSUMI!"" Leone and Lubbock yelled as they rushed down to the arena. Before they could make it to Tatsumi, Ryan walked over to the somehow still conscious Tatsumi, knelt down and whispered to him; "Is this all Night Raid is made of? If it is, then it's pathetic. How do you plan on taking down the empire when you're so weak?"
Hearing that made Tatsumi enraged but he couldn't do anything because he was too injured to move, and even if he could move, he still wouldn't be able to beat Ryan.
Leone and Lubbock then made it to the ring and glared at Ryan before they picked up the injured Tatsumi and quickly left. They would get their revenge later but for now, Tatsumi's injuries needed to be treated.
After the three of them were gone, Ryan copied what Tatsumi did in the manga and gave the most innocent smile he could, he said "I did it!"
Seeing his 'Innocent' smile made Esdeath's heartbeat increase. "...I've found him," Esdeath said as she stood up. "A candidate for wielding the Teigu?" Run asked. "That too... But also something else." She said while walking down the stairs towards the ring.
Arriving at the ring, Esdeath stood in front of Ryan a few feet from him. "Your name is Ryan correct? it's an interesting name." She spoke calmly. "Thanks?..." Ryan replied confusedly. He honestly didn't know if that was supposed to be a compliment or not.
Esdeath then continued slowly: "Your match just now... was very entertaining. For that, I will give you a reward." Hearing that, Ryan smiled inwardly. His plan to win this busty, blue-haired, babe was about to begin.
Up above the arena, Tyler was floating invisibly watching the whole show. Earlier when he said he would be 'watching from the shadows', this is what he meant. "Okay Ry-guy, you've gotten her attention and now she's about to do what she did in canon. So whatcha gonna do about it?..." He whispered amusedly to himself.
Esdeath walked closer to Ryan while speaking; "From now on... you belong to-" Before she could finish talking and put the collar she was holding around Ryan's neck, he quickly snatched it from her hand and put it around her neck while finishing her sentence. "-me"
