1 Words Written Before the Introduction

Before starting the new volume, let me say something first.

Up to today, the Otherworld Advance Team wrote a total of four volumes, they are as follows:

Volume 1: Haiya Academy

Volume 2: Otherworld War

Volume 3: Extinction Crisis

Volume 4: Ancestors' Holy Book.

These 1338 chapters of the story are basically centered around Earth and the Aels Continent. (In fact, it should be five volumes because the VIP volume counts as a new one according to my calculations).

As my first novel, it's also a test for me. I need to absorb enough lessons in this story and integrate them into my next book. Even though the novel is tagged as a Western fantasy, I don't intend to limit myself to it and plan on branching out to other areas, such as Xuan.

That's why I plan to set the perspective of the upcoming volume, East Continent Tales, in the eastern continent of the Otherworld, describing the Xuan events that occur there. Most settings, including the power cultivation system, are completely different from those of the Western Continent, which can be discerned from Feng's experiences.

And judging from the current storyline design, The East Continent Tales might be longer in both words count and volume than all the previous volumes. Instead of calling it the fifth volume, we can almost count it as "Otherworld Advance Team 2." But after some careful thought, it is better to keep them together as one.

The Ancestors' Holy Book consists of 414 chapters. The East Continent Tales will probably exceed 500 chapters, and the total word count is estimated to be more than four million after completion. This seems like another challenge.

Although its title is East Continent Tales, I still need to take some time and ink to describe Lipei's production and construction before the story begins, temporarily turning into a farming novel. Because it's necessary to set some foreshadowing for the next volume within these chapters, that is, the new volume after the East Continent Tales.

Finally, let me talk about the ending of the novel. After East Continent Tales, the story will probably have two more volumes. When these two volumes are finished, the story will temporarily come to an end.

By that time, I estimate the total chapters of the novel will exceed 2000, and the total word count will surpass five million. For someone like me who is just starting out, this is indeed a major project. But that's just how my personality is, if I'm doing something, I'm going big.

As for some of the concepts and settings in the story, I might consider releasing them in this way in the future. If anyone needs these settings for their novels, they are free to take them, I don't mind.

Last but not least, let's talk about the power system in the story.

Regarding the power system of the Otherworld, to be honest, I personally believe that it has not broken through the concepts set earlier, even though we have a Bug-level powerhouse like Xia Yue. But fundamentally, Xia Yue is just the order maintainer of the Otherworld and won't intervene in worldly conflicts actively.

I can guarantee that even if Earthlings wage a genocidal war against the Otherworld again and kill all Otherworld's inhabitants, Xia Yue will not interfere. Because it is clearly written in the settings that she is the maintainer of the world, not the guardian of the people in the Otherworld. As for such man-made disasters, she has no right to intervene.

So, from these points of view, although the overall logic of the story is somewhat stretched, it still has not deviated from the established power system.

As a materialist, I am not fond of idealism in my creation. So all the settings in the whole story, I can basically explain their principles. Any unexplainable settings generally would not be added into the story.

Because of this, I personally feel that the story's power system is still within the framework I set before. Even though some bugs have been added, it still makes sense as a whole. It is a magic world without either gods or demons.

In the end, after this period of creation, I have roughly found my direction in writing. And in fact, the outline of the new novel was already taking shape at the beginning of the second volume. Now the framework has pretty much formed. After this novel ends, I suppose I can start digging the next pit.

But before that, I still need to consider the path ahead. Along the way, I'll change my online name that surprisingly came to be, and then I can start new creations. Wish me luck!!
