17 Yue Yang Vs Xue Tan Lang

Morning,a new day has began but no light enters in the room due to the lack of windows. Yue Yang slowly opens his eyes unaware of the events of the previous day and lightly stretches. After eating breakfast he goes out of the room

Yue Yang heads to the arena and greets Wu Xia

noticing the absence of the third member of the group Yue Yang asks

" I knew you would ask that so I asked mother-in-law and apparently Saeko went back to the residence and she remained there to protect your little sisters "

after the two speak for a while Yue Yang goes on the stage

Yue Ming sits near her father and observes with interest Yue Yang as he slowly walks on the stage

the man notices her daughter's gaze and smiles

" Is there something wrong with your third cousin? "

" does he interest you in some manner, then ? "

" third cousin is interesting and misterious, that's all "

Yue Yang stares at his opponent, Xue Tan Lang. He is aware that ice cube guy is his brother-in-law and he is curious regarding his thoughts. Yue Yang grabs the hilt of Kakuya and looks towards his opponent. In response Xue Tan Lang summons his grimoire. a cold aura envelopes him

Yue Hai indicates the beginning of the match

"Begin!"

Yue Yang extracts Kakuya from its sheath and prepares to fight. Xue Tan Lang jumps backwards and moves within the arena, At the same time he tries to summon one of his beasts. Yue Yang rushes towards Xue Tan Lang, intending to defeat him before he could complete the summon.

Yue Yang activates silent steps in order to close the distance and to avoid the barrier of winds that surrounds his opponent .

Noticing his opponent's move Tan Lang decides to change the direction of the winds in order to block his path .

In response Yue Yang side steps in the opening created by the sudden movement of the winds and slashes at Tan Lang with the back of the blade, however, seeing the attack Tan Lang jumps sideways and avoids the heavy blow .

Almost at the same time Yue Yang uses silent steps once again and approaches Tan Lang, who, after avoiding the previous attack lost his balance

' damn it, if he hits me I will lose !'

' with this, victory is mine ! '

Yue Yang slashes towards Tan Lang and as the blade approaches Tan Lang's neck suddenly a white mist appears between the blade and the neck.

As a natural reflex due to the proximity Yue Yang covers his eyes with his arm and interrupts his attack.

When he removes his arm from his eyes he notices the beast standing in front of him.

It's a bronze ranked storm giant.

The beast stares at him in a menacing manner. A second beast appears, it is a bronze ranked violent tornado.

With the appearance of the two beasts the winds intensity and Yue Yang is forced to step backwards due to the power of the wind.

Taking advantage of his opponent's opening Tan Lang approaches him at fast speed, however, Yue Yang sidesteps and slashes in an horizontal motion. His attack is easily avoided by Tan Lang, who returns at his two beasts' side. Before giving Yue Yang the chance to attack, the storm giant takes a step forward and raises its paw/hand intending to crush Yue Yang

seeing the approaching attack Yue Yang frowns

' should I use the other form of Kakuya? if this continues my defeat is certain but I don't wish to reveal it so soon, besides that form has a time limit.. damn, the attack is coming ! '

Yue Yang is hit by the blow and due to the impact he flies backwards and roughly falls on the ground.

While spitting blood, Yue Yang stands up and takes a defensive stance

' damn, that hurt ! I didn't think taking that attack could hurt that much ! '

while mentally complaining Yue Yang avoids the attacks of his three opponents and tries to find an opening.

Suddenly the storm giant attacks once again but Yue Yang avoids the blow.

The storm giant hits the arena and the ground cracks.

After avoiding two more blows Yue Yang takes his decision

' screw my secret ! if I lose I won't be able to complete the event's missions and I won't be able to summon a new powerful and beautiful servant ! '

after organising his thoughts Yue Yang takes three steps backwards and raises his sword

" Here I go ! Overedge ! "

Yue Yang pours mana into Kakuya and suddenly the sword transforms.

In front of the confused eyes of the crowd the blade lengthens itself by half its current length and undergoes an incredible change.

One side of the blade sharpens and on the other side many feathers black and white in colour appear.

In order to better wield the trasformed sword Yue Yang grabs the hilt with two hands and faces his three opponents once again.

After noticing the look of caution and disbelief that appeared on Tan Lang's face Yue Yang cannot help but look at him with a smug face.

After recovering from its shock the storm giant attacks Yue Yang once again.

To everyone's surprise this time Yue Yang takes a step forward and slashes upwards in order to confront the beast's attack.

When the two attacks collide the collision results in an explosion and the giant flies backwards.

After seeing the result of the collision Tan Lang speaks

" I surrender "

Yue Yang smiles and says

" It seems that I won, that's a relief. You can't even begin to imagine how much it hurts "

immediately after this words escape from his lips a loud metallic sound is heard and the unconscious Yue Yang falls to the ground

Yue Hai shouts

"the result has been decided. the match is Yue Yang's victory! "
