12 Worries and Tournament's Announcement(2)

---Xue Wu Xia's P.O.V.---

"As expected,her husband is Yue Tian"

Yue Hai answers

"No,he is not the one. the one who has been decided to be the husband of Xue Wu Xia is Yue Yang, the third young master of the Yue clan"

Hearing this the whole room falls in an uproar

Wu Xia feels the hand around hers tightening

'he must be quite enraged,but I won't blame him.I wouldn't stand this either.I hope he won't lose control'

in order to reassure him,Wu Xia strengthens her grip

a childish voice resounds in the hall

"what is the meaning of this?Yue Yang is trash!"

Yue Hai answers once more

"Yue Yang is a grimoire user,and he was acquainted with Xue Wu Xia therefore he was deemed more appropriate"

"Moreover Wu Xia personally asked for Yue Yang to be her fiance"

"but..."

while Yue Tian is trying to oppose a stronger voice resounds

"I do not agree with this engagement!"

the speaker is one of Xue clan's elders, probably an aquaintace of Yue Tian and his father

"since when was this decided anyway?"

"elder Lan, this marriage was a joint decision of me, Xue clan's patriarch and our clans' grand elders.you have no place in this"

hearing this Yue Tian is shocked

"no way!I won't allow this! in the first place since when has Yue Yang been able to use a grimoire?a few days at.."

Wu Xia interrupts,she looks quite irritated

'I am not madly in love with Yue Yang but to allow Yue Tian to speak anymore would be equivalent to insulting my husband and myself'

"Yue Yang contracted a grimoire at the age of 9 and he is less hateful than you meaning he is a better husband.if you still doubt my decision I will consider it as insulting me"

"what, impossible..."

'oh,nice.it seems he finally shut up,I was getting irritated'

among the guests there are two others that don't agree but seeing as Wu Xia spoke up they don't raise an argument.they are Qian Qian and Xue Tan Lang and they are both thinking

'what is Wu Xia(sister) thinking?does she like that guy?'

at this moment Yue Hai speaks once more

"I knew that there was bound to be dissent and I apologize for the rash decision.if any of you has disagreement, you are allowed to vent them at the new year's tournament tomorrow"

at this point an unexpected person speaks up,it is Yue Yang

"what do you mean vent them tomorrow? this is too much even for you!"

---Yue Yang's P.OV.---

"I knew that there was bound to be dissent and I apologize for the rash decision.if any of you has disagreement, you are allowed to vent them at the new year's tournament tomorrow"

'well they are going to vent them on Yue Yang anyway,it is also going to be a way to check the limit of his abilities'

at this point Yue Yang speaks up

"what do you mean vent them tomorrow? this is too much even for you!"

'you old fogey, don't just go around throwing people at me!'

"well,I don't see the problem?"

"you know well what you did!do you think I am stupid?to not notice something this obvious.."

but Wu Xia interrupts him

"Yue Yang, enough"

"but you also know what he has done.."

Wu Xia does not answer.she only looks in his eyes

'I know what he has done but even then,there is nothing we can do,so please don't say any further'

"I..understand"

with that said he looks at Yue Hai again, this time however is gaze is emotionless as if he ceased to care

'I will make you pay for this, old man'

"So,as I was saying I will expect you all to observe the tournament as you may see something interesting.."

while Yue Hai was speaking Yue Yang directs his attention elsewhere

'damn,I am not used to attend this kind of party.it is long and boring and the original Yue Yang wasn't used to it either so he isn't of much help this time around'

after a while Wu Xia notices his state and gently shakes his arm.she then murmurs

"pay attention for a little bit more,we are almost done"

"okay, but this kind of thing is not really to my liking"

"you don't have to like it and we can skip the normal ones but this one required the participation of the four major clans so we couldn't skip it"

"Mm,got it.I will try my best"

---Xue Wu Xia's P.O.V.---

I noticed that Yue Yang is almost at his limit.

he loses attention quite often and he seems to have lost interest but it cannot be helped considering that they have been insulting him from the start of the "party"

although he said he will try his best I don't actually expect anything more out of him

I am already satisfied with his conduct and as of now I currently don't regret saying he is my fiance

even IF he were to be defeated tomorrow I won't be disappointed.I don't expect him to be invincible after all

---Yue Yang's P.OV.---

after listening to Yue Hai speak for another half an hour he declares the end of the party and we are finally able to go away

It was so boring that I decided to not go at something like this again, even if Wu Xia asked me and tried to drag me along

after a while Wu Xia speaks up

"thanks for listening to my request today,Yang"

"it was no big deal, besides,we were forced to attend it in the first place"

"Um, but I still wished to thank you. During the party there have been moments in which I wouldn't blame you even if you lost control"

"well, but you asked me to keep a respectable image as much as possible so I tried my best. it is late now so why don't we return to the residence?"
