19 The Second Summon and Imminent Danger
---Yue Ming's P.O.V.---
Morning,a new day has began and the light illuminates the room. Yue Ming's figure is peacefully laying on the futon. Unlike the usual her beautiful platinum blonde hair is loose and only partially covers her shoulders and the pillow. After a few seconds her body stirs,she raises her face and rubs her eyes,then she stands up and walks to the door in order to go in the dining room.
Yue Ming enters in the dining room and sees two young children, a mature woman and a young girl .
the woman looks at her and smiles
"good morning Yue Ming, have you slept well?"
she returns the smile and answers
"yes I have, thank you for asking"
after a few more minutes Wu Xia enters in the dining hall and sits near the girl
"good morning, everyone"
"good morning Wu Xia"
after eating breakfast the two leave the mansion.
---Yue Yang's P.OV.---
Morning,a new day has began but no light enters in the room due to the lack of windows. Yue Yang slowly opens his eyes and lightly stretches. After moving for a bit and feeling his body still in pain he lets out a groan.
he also notices that the pain is much less compared to the previous day.
After a few minutes Yue Yang decides to check the system since he doesn't have much to do.
Upon entering the mission interface he immediately notices the difference

reward: randomly draw one character of N rarity
- Mission Accomplished
after confirming the state of the mission Yue Yang touches the "reclaim" button and a bronze chest appears before him
'well, while it is only an N character all of them can become proper waifus if I train them;after all while the lower rarity ones are not human at all they can improve with the help of the grimoire'
the chest opens and at the same time an announcement resounds in his head
Summoning results:N Artoria Pendragon
after the light vanishes,in its place there is a little lion
'Is this Artoria? makes sense that she appears as a lion but it is still quite uncomfortable knowing that this animal is a person'
while Yue Yang is lost in his thoughts the lion looks at him curiously,then she lightly bows her head and opens her mouth
"rawr"
hearing her, he looks at her silently.
the two continue watching one another until the lion opens her mouth again
"rawr"
'that's adorable! I love this lion!'
Yue Yang then checks her profile
"Artoria Pendragon is a Servant(deceased hero), human, swordswoman and fights to obtain the holy grail(a wish fulfilling cup).
she has a noble temperament,she is a harsh teacher when it comes to training and she regrets her rule as a king."
After carefully observing her introduction, Yue Yang looks towards the lower part of her profile, eager to read what gift has he gained from obtaining her.
When he looks, however, he feels disappointed
because in the gift bar(unique traits) the only words written are three question marks together with a button 'Warning' right next to the question marks.
After tapping it, a sentence covers the page
"in order to obtain the gift of 'Artoria Pendragon' it is necessary to update the system to the v.2.0."
after discovering this fact Yue Yang immediately tries to update it however another message pops up
"updating the system without the admin's consent is impossible. please wait..."
after reading the two messages Yue Yang falls back on his bed and murmurs in a tired voice
"well, I guess I could wait for a day"
---Xue Wu Xia's P.O.V.---
while Yue Yang is summoning Artoria, the two girls enter in a forest.
Wu Xia and Yue Ming walk through the trees in perfect silence; after a few minutes the two enter in a plateau.
the plateau is silent, just like the rest of the forest.
On the right giant trees with orange leaves stand proudly and cover the central zone of the forest while on the left the trees reach lower heights and the city is visible in the distance.
the two girls, however, cannot enjoy such beautiful scenery due to their thoughts
'why is there not a single beast in this place? the plateau is certainly beautiful and that river should allow many beasts to live in here however there is no beast in the vicinity'
---Yue Ming's P.O.V.---
'why does this place have such a dark aura? where does it come from?'
"Wu Xia, it is better if we return to the outer zones of the forest, we might have missed something"
"you are right"
after walking for a bit, the two reach another little zone of the forest. there are still no beasts
'what! the dark aura doesn't limit to the plateau; that ominous aura is already present in the whole forest! we need to leave immediately'
---Xue Wu Xia's P.O.V.---
(after seeing the two places Yue Ming seems to understand something, but , before Wu Xia could ask her, she spits blood and immediately declares that they are leaving the forest.)
noticing the suspicious actions of Yue Ming;
Wu Xia opens her mouth in order to ask her but before she could, Yue Ming turns towards her
"Wu Xia, I know you have a lot of questions, but, we need to leave the forest"
seeing the urgency of her friend, Wu Xia directs her a questioning gaze.Suddenly, Yue Ming spits blood
"hurry!"
After witnessing her injury, Wu Xia silently agrees and puts an arm around Yue Ming in order to help her.
On the road to the residence Yue Ming faints. Worried about the cause of Yue Ming's injuries, Wu Xia reaches the mansion.
