18 Chapter 18 : Date

Josh PoV :

Every time I come here I just cannot, I just cannot look away from her.

From the first time I saw her I knew it , she was my type. Goddammit those bloody shows in my previous life didn't show that she was such a beauty. I should tread carefully, she was in the show still grieving the loss of her fiancé.

I know how sure I am about her, I should take it step by step and show what I can be for her. I am not some superhero who will sacrifice himself or lose someone they care about for greater good , I will bloody let the world go to shit, than have a single person I cared about be harmed in any way. I am not batman , I am me and those around me are my responsibility.

Since , the day I too visited SL to see Barry but I couldn't help but look at her.

I decide that today would be the day I ask her in a date , I delayed too much in my previous life , let's never repeat that.

I approach her and say with a slightly hesitant tone" Hey, Cait, how are doing , I was just wondering if you were free this evening?" Almost fainted on the inside, first time asking a girl out in two lives, no pressure.

"yeah I don't have any plans today, why ?" She replied

" Well , I was wondering if you would go out on a date with me today?" I asked in a gentle manner.

She was shocked ! Bloody hell it was written on her face with a huge font size, I almost decided that I would be turned down.

"Sure, I'd love to " those word from her mouth were enough to send me to cloud nine.

" Then , I'll pick you up at your house at 7 ." I said earning a smile from her . It was enough confirmation . I smiled back and rushed out .

Barry and Cisco in the other room heard everything . " finally, he said it , it was written on his face everyday he came here" said Barry

" I know , and I also know that Caitlin herself has a huge crush on him, he sometimes helped her come out of her grief with just small words of kindness, if I were a woman I wouldn't let him go." Said Cisco

EVENING

It's about seven , she would come out any minute! Let's not raise any red flags , Be yourself! At least that's what people usually say in this situation.

As I lookout I see a woman wearing black skirt and blouse , wearing a bright red lipstick and her fair face reflex it's beauty.

I immediately got out of the car and like a gentleman opened the door, and she got in the car. I drove her around some of the most exotic and hidden places I discovered in my teen years which I found ideal for a date. After a couple of hours I asked if we could go to a restaurant . She said "surprise me"

I took her to 'Maria's Paradise' my favourite food place, a medium sized restaurant .I ordered food based on her tastes which I learnt from Cisco, +1 point in my favour!

She loved the food , she said it contains so much flavour she wouldn't mind eating it every day. We discussed things we had in comm And uncommon. Every time we spoke a new topic , I fell for her every single time.

Later that night:

"I liked this evening, it has been amazing at every turn " she said looking into my eyes and as she took a step forward I followed her lead and kissed her passionately for a while leaving both of us breathless in the end.

" let's meet tomorrow" she said as she walked away , I could see her face blushing

Caitlin PoV :

'why did I do that? Have I fallen for him in just one date?'

My mind is bursting, ahhh! She sighed in embarrassment,

I think it's time I moved on , I think I have fallen for Josh , and I can't deny it, at first I thought it was just a crush but I was wrong. I thought maybe he had some girlfriend or something of that sort, but was I glad that I have been wrong.

I love him . He has shown that he loves me . It's enough for me!!
