17 Chapter 17 : The Streak

Iris West is now deeply interested in the ' red streak' that has been running around central city.

She always followed her passion and became a reporter. She started digging around, being a daughter of a police officer and also a girlfriend to another.

Blessed with keen intuition and courage she would always chase the shadows and bring them into the light.

Josh PoV :

Today's the day I will confront Barry about hiding things , well no shit I'm hiding a lot but being the charming , intelligent and shameless person i am will ingnore it.

I tried to reach him on phone but was only ignored, I guess he's at Star Labs figuring things out. I made my way to SL.

" hey Barry, been a while." I said in a voice audible to the whole .

The tiny crowd was surprised to see me . Wondering how I bypassed through their security.

" No need to be too shocked, I have been here a couple of times , not really difficult bit disappointed that I hacked it almost immediately, well can't blame you, SL is not it was a year ago"

" Hi there , Josh been a while " said Caitlin

" Been a while man and I always wanted to say amazing work with your AQUAPODS"said Cisco 'I want a piece of it ,I can replicate it for emergencies should Barry ever get injured severely, even with his fast healing something's like poison cannot be treated immediately' thought Cisco

"welcome, Dr.Night" said the pretend cripple Dr wells " Josh or Joshua please" i added before saying " some weird things have happened in the past few days , and I think something smells fishy around you guys "

"Barry spending here a lot of time here was a bit of a red flag, so I request you to tell me what's going on " I said in a firm voice.

" Nothing's wrong, we just like to spend some time discussing about our common favourites especially Lady Gaga" said Cisco , while his face revealing that there was much more amiss.

"For a Gaga fan , you have a very bad poker face, and Sherlock here has already made deductions " while pointing to myself " Barry, we grew up together and you know me enough that my intelligence earned me my moniker "little Sherlock"

"Little ?" Asked Caitlin

" well I was 8 in my defence and it was not a hindrance to my skill" I defended myself face not to get embarrassed.

'I trust him , he was there when i needed him .' Barry thought before looking at Dr wells who gave him a reluctant nod. Everyone who saw that knew it was time to let the cat out of the bag.

" I didn't mean to put you in the dark Josh , but I didn't understand it myself heck I don't think I understand it now " said Barry looking at me

" well show me" I said and he instantly used his speed to get me my favourite ice cream on the other side of the city.

' It is hard to resist the temptation of using my speed when he was running, Ah ! So that how adults feel when they lose a game on purpose ' I thought while giving him a look of amazement.

I took a short pause and said" particle accelerator explosion " I asked

" yes , we believe so" said Dr wells

"so , you're the red streak who Iris is writing about, I am blown away but I kinda expected it as the streak is followed by yellow lightning which Iris saw when Barry was struck by lightning " I said "sure it was a long shot but you guys raise a lot of red flags " i finished.

Everyone else was slightly surprised and also embarrassed as they were caught due to their clumsiness.

" I guess I shouldn't have underestimated your intelligence " saidDr wells before leaving. " Explain the situation to Dr.Night, he is also a physicist and might give us a new angle towards this Metahumans " he said as he almost exited .

While I was proud of my brain , I was in now way helping that sicko.
