The red eye began to shimmer and Aaron's feet began to get swallowed up. Before he knew it he was in a dark room. A bedroom. There was the chronic utterance from the AI telling him he was on level eight but then there was a booming sound outside his window and people were shouting as if some type of morbid terror had struck the city. Once in a while, the blinds would glow bright orange as if molten lava were being painted on the windows.

Aaron slumped out of bed and went downstairs. There were whispers that moved about the place like snakes slithering on the walls. They were slick but they also wanted to be heard. They rang out a vibe of familiarity.

"Don't touch it! You could burn your fingers," said a voice that sounded like Torra.

"It's a floating puzzle piece." said the dragged-out voice of Lex. "Calm down blondie."

"You shouldn't be talking."
