10 Time Skip

In our bright and bustling judo dojo, a captivating scene unfolds right in front of my eyes. It's all about Ren, this thirteen-year-old wonder kid. Don't let his age fool you – he's got the build of someone way beyond his years.

Sweating it out in his white gi, his moves are like a dance of sheer precision and fluidity. Kid's got dedication in spades, I'll give him that.

Now, what's even more jaw-dropping than his moves is his commitment. I mean, this guy's juggling an acting career and still manages to show up here every single day, with no excuses. Three years back, he walked in here at ten, and he's been a regular ever since.

But let me tell you something about those early days. When Ren first stepped into this dojo, he wasn't met with open arms. Nah, some of the other kids thought he was just some hotshot looking to score points as the multi-talented kid. They saw him as a scoop, not a serious judoka.

I remember those first few days like it was yesterday. Those kids gave Ren a hard time and tried to rough him up a bit. They thought he'd crumble, fold under the pressure. But Ren, he was a different breed. He took the beating, silently absorbing every hit, every taunt. And you know what he did after? He learned. Fast. Barely three weeks later, those same kids were the ones on the receiving end, getting a taste of their own medicine.

Of course, I kept things regulated and didn't let it escalate into some full-blown brawl. But it was a valuable lesson – for everyone. Those kids learned not to underestimate anyone, especially someone like Ren who was ready to back up his actions with pure skill.

Being an instructor, I've seen my fair share of students. But Ren? He's on a whole 'nother level. Skill? Check. But it's his whole vibe that sets him apart. He's like an old soul wrapped up in a young body. Every move, every throw – there's an intent behind it that goes beyond what you'd expect from a thirteen-year-old.

What gets me is Ren's maturity. He's wise beyond his years, and it ain't just a show. Underneath that youthful exterior, there's a depth that's hard to put into words. I can't help but wonder what kind of experiences have shaped him into this one-of-a-kind guy.

You've gotta admire his dedication. Ren ain't just some kid going through the motions. Nah, he's facing challenges like a champ, with no fear in sight.

I admired him because I felt like I was watching a younger version of myself in my old days.

As Ren wrapped up for the day, the dojo filled with his steady breaths. He's in his zone, and it's a sight to see. I make my way over, a genuine smile tugging at my lips. "Ren, you've got a commitment that's hard to match," I say, trying to keep it cool. "You're carving a path that most kids your age wouldn't even dream of. Do you like Judo this much?"

Ren just gives a nod, humble as always as our small conversation smoothly ends. I watch him walk off, feeling this mix of respect and wonder. It's moments like these that make me realize that greatness comes in all forms. Ren's out here, chasing his dreams on the judo mat while hustling in the world of acting. It's a reminder that when you're dedicated, nothing can hold you back.

The media got wind of this story a while back. Had me in front of cameras, spilling the beans on how Ren's been hitting the mats like clockwork every single day. Gotta admit, I've lost count of how many times I've given interviews, driving the point home that this kid's no fluke, no flash-in-the-pan act.

But let me tell you, we don't entertain those kinds of people here – the ones just out for a quick thrill, a temporary spotlight. Nah, this place is all about sweat, grind, and real dedication.

That's my way of doing things. Ren? He's got it down to a T.

--- Ren's POV ---

"Make sure to keep me informed about any new actors of Lala Lai, Shiina."

Shiina, my assistant. She's been a loyal aide to my father for quite some time, which could make her a reliable asset.

Well, at least for him.

I've been doing my best to win her over to my side, but deciphering people's thoughts isn't exactly my forte. Who am I to say she isn't reporting my every move back to my father? It's one of those trust issues that are hard to dismiss.

"Why, if I may ask? Is there something specific Ren-sama is looking for?"

I paused, thinking for a moment how to phrase my answer.

"I want to be the one to welcome them properly. You know how hard it's been on me at first, and I think another novice would be glad if at least they knew someone was on their side. You can call it a foolish act because they will also compete for roles I could have, but it's just how I am, so please do that."

My words seemed to surprise her a little, but she still bowed.

"Understood. I will be sure to keep Ren-sama informed."

The years have flown by. I've often found myself on stage, diving into plays, and even taking on some decent roles in movies and advertisements.

Even my social media has evolved. Back when I was too young to post anything substantial, I had Shiina manage my accounts. She usually shared behind-the-scenes snippets or captured moments of camaraderie with my fellow actors. Once, we even attempted a "Try Not to Laugh" challenge with water in our mouths, the popular kind among some influencers at the time, which turned out to be a hit. It made us gain lots of followers and general interest in the actors that did this, which only helped to get me more jobs.

Currently, my Instagram boasts around 1 million followers – a respectable number, considering there's a professional hand steering the ship.

People need to see my sincerity all the time for them to be convinced, and once they will be fully convinced, I will have a weapon ready whenever I can to harm Hikaru.

It's all a matter of when "he" will join Lala Lai now, which should be soon
