1 The Beginning of Something New..

[Misao's POV]

It seemed like any other school day..but different in a way.I finally realized today was the last day of the semester and Mr.Yoshida would be giving us details on what's new to come around the school.

"Good afternoon class, some of you did very well this semester. Others did not. School will start back Tuesday, we'll be getting a New Student soon. You may continue your chatter until the bell rings and you're dismissed."Mr.Yoshida told the class as he handed out report cards and the conversations continued.

"A New Student?! We haven't had one of those all year."I said confused and shocked at the news when my friends Ume and Reiji commented on my small outburst.

"Right!! There's only 3 months left in school, I wonder if it's a boy or girl!"..With curiosity she turned to Reiji to hear his thoughts about the new student. "I hope it's a sexy girl.Im getting bored of all you ugly girls." Reiji said with confidence. Less than 5 seconds after his comment had been made Ume gave him a hard whack on the head with her bag.

"Shut you idiot! You have some nerve saying the things you say so recklessly!" Ume shouted as she sat back down and brushed her bands out of her face, frowning at Reiji.

"Why are you always hitting me with things? You're honestly so weird, No wonder why Aoshi doesn't like you." Reiji said with confidence , picking up my backpack along with Ume's from the corner of the classroom.

In my opinion a part of me agrees with Reiji whenever he mentions Aoshi and Ume's relationship. Aoshi is 1 year older than us making him a Sophomore. Along with the fact that he seems to be distant when we all hang out with each other. Not to mention Ume can be a pain When she doesn't get her way.

"He's my boyfriend of course he likes me, dummy."

"Oh Ume you're so dumb, I bet you ¥5000 he'll break up with you before the end of next semester!"

"Deal! because that's not going to happen, be ready to bring me my money sir."

I watched as the two continued to argue with each other until the bell rang when I received a text.I pulled out my phone, hiding it under my backpack as I read..

"Get to the house as soon as possible." - Mom

Why would she be texting me in school? What's the reason that she's home so early?I ignored the text and walked through the busy hallway that led to the front of the school with Ume and Reiji like usual.

"You two know we're in high school now , and you're still acting like brother and sister" I said with a giggle as I took my backpack from Reiji and glanced at the park.

[Reiji]: What?! I'd be ashamed if that cow was my-

Before he even gets to finish his sentence Ume interrupts him with some unsettling words..

"Continue I dare you.." She said with a cold stern look on her face and her right hand balled into a fist. Just by observing the situation Reiji decided to keep quiet.

{Ding Ding}

I knew it was my phone but I pretended not to hear it as the 3 of us continued walking home on the humid cloudy day.But knowing them, they'd try to bring it to my attention.

Ume looked at me with curiosity.."Your phone had gone off twice in the past 10 Minutes Misao..you don't get texts very often so it might be a good idea to answer it.

There's no way my best friend just made a joke of me while being supportive at the same time. I brushed it off. "AnYwAyS!! Would y'all like to hang out at KudaNomi's later?" I said trying to change the subject and lighten the mood since I wasn't bothered by whatever my mom had to say.

"Yeah sure. Aoshi and I were actually planning on going tonight but let's make it a group thing."

"I refuse to go with you pigs, all you two do is make me carry your stuff and-"

Ignoring Reiji the plan was set."Alright I'll text you guys when I'm headed there."

•Reiji made a little grunt and nodded his head in agreement•

As we all headed our separate ways, I continued walking through the park trail just like everyday.So I would expect my usual routine to stay on track. Arriving at home by 4:30 and then waiting for her mom to get home from work at 6pm and her dad at 8pm.But today was different. There was a car in the driveway of the house , it belonged to neither Mom and Dad. When I opened the front door there was an unknown boy sitting on the couch in my living room.The Unknown boy and I exchanged looks at each other but not one word was spoken．．．．
