2 Reborn

When Dachun opened her eyes, she noticed that the Doc was removing the straps which tied her. Then her's and the Doc's gaze interlocked with one another for a moment.

The Doc screamed after a moment, " How are you still alive? You should be dead. How is this possible!?"

While Dachun replied in a daze,"Am I still alive? Am I not dreaming right now?"

The Doc replied in a irritated tone, "Of course you are alive. Then how can you speak with me right now. Anyway give me a minute or two to calm my emotional state. Too much happened tonight."

Dachun just sat quietly while feeling her body. She was feeling different now but she couldn't point out what the difference was.

Meanwhile the Doc was calming down his emotional state. He didn't like this about himself because he gets emotional to quickly after he became a vampire.

When Dachun saw that the Doc is not saying anything, she couldn't hold her curiosity towards her possible life saver. Therefore she said, "Hey….. Did you save my life after I was attacked by that monster? Where are we now? Who are you? Why…"

Before she could continue, the Doc stopped her by replying,"First of all, you weren't meant to be saved but I accidentally saved you. You were brought here by that 'monster' to be disposed of, so you should count yourself as lucky that you are even alive. Anyway before further questioning let me do a simple test to see whether you are normal or not."

"What do you mean mister?"

"You can call me Doc and I will not harm you since I saved your life."

The Doc brought a table in front of her with two glasses. Then he poured water in the first glass and some red like liquid juice in the second glass. Dachun was confused about what the Doc was planning to do. Then the Doc replied.

"Drink the substance in those two glasses one by one. If you are not able to drink it just spit it out. Never mind if you spit it on the floor, we can clean that later. Anyway go on try, its not poison."

Dachun followed the instructions of the Doc. She tried the first glass, but once it went inside her mouth, it tasted like mud and she spat it without any second thought. She felt weird because it looked just like water but it tasted like mud. Then she moved on towards the second glass. It seemed different but she continued because the Doc assured that nothing is going to happen. She drank it, she felt like this was sweetest and the most tastiest drink in the world. She had never tried this sort of drink before. But after that she felt grief for a moment. She was confused.

When the Doc saw she could easily drink and the expression later, he could not help but sigh. He didn't know whether it was a blessing or a curse for that young girl. When he saw the confused look of the young girl, he thought that he should tell her truth. Therefore the Doc continued.

"What is your name young girl?"

"My name is Feng Dachun. What's happening to me? Something is wrong right?"

"Calm down. Let me explain ok."

The Doc tried to calm her down. She calmed down after thirty seconds. When the Doc saw this he continued.

"Do you know what was in the second glass which you drank?"

"No…."Dachun was getting scared now internally.

The Doc sighed again and continued,"It was blood of a human which you drank."

When she heard this, she ran towards the nearest sink and started goggling with water but she felt worse doing that and spat the water out again. The Doc went near her and patted her back. Then brought her back to her chair to sit down.

Dachun then screamed towards the Doc,"How was I able to drink blood and not water? What the hell did you make me? Wh…"

The Doc slammed his fist towards the table. When he removed his fist, a dent was formed. This silenced and scared her. The Doc then continued.

"Calm down and listen to me. Its a miracle that you alive and you should be thankful for it. As for why you can drink human blood is because you have turned into a vampire and the worse part is that you are the only successful person who survived after taking that solution therefore I don't know what side effects you will have."

Dachen was in a daze and murmured, "So the stories about the vampires and werewolves were true. I didn't use to believe them until now…"

The Doc continued," What nonsense are you talking about. There are no werewolves in this world. As for vampires, some of them are true and some are not."

The Doc took out a torch from his pocket and turned it on. Then he put the light towards Dachun's skin to see her reaction. To his surprise, there was no reaction of pain when the light touched her skin. He kept it for some while to make sure that he was not hallucinating.

After he turned the torch off, he started crying while murmuring "Teacher, you were correct…you were correct…"

When Dachun saw this change of reaction, she couldn't help but say,"I should be the one crying right. So why the hell are you crying?"

After the Doc heard her voice he calmed down. Then he continued but he couldn't hide his excitement," Dachun you are special. Do you know how many of our kind dreamt of walking when the sun was out?"

"How should I know?"

"You will be the first of our kind to be able to walk when the sun is out without any medication. Its incredible."

"Please explain it to me Doc?"

"Ok, here is the deal. Usually vampires feel immense pain and feel like burning when the sun is out. If you stay outside when the sun is out, after a minute, you will vaporize and nothing will remain of you except for ashes which will be blown by the wind if no one is there. This happens because vampires are not immune to the sun's radiation and not the sun itself. Many vampires still think its because of the sun. Because of that vampires have to take a sort of medication so that they can walk out when the sun is out. Anyway you don't have to worry about the scientific details because you will be able to walk when the sun is out without medications and live like a normal human."

Dachun was scared when she heard that vampire's are not able to go out when the sun is out without any medication. But she was relieved when she realized she would be able to walk outside without any problem.

The Doc continued when he watched the clock," I think its late right now. Your parents must be worried about you. You should get going now. "

Without Dachun's consent, he started walking towards the back gate of the clinic with her and spoke,"Let me warn you, don't go near any religious places were they chant or you will be in a lot of trouble. Meet me tomorrow after the sun goes down because I'm available only on nights. Here's my card."

When those two came out, the Doc shoved Dachun's hand with a card and slammed the back door close without letting her speak anything.

Dachun was left standing in a daze.
